My filet mignon was tender but dry and surprisingly lacking in taste. The potato was like a defrosted fish stick. The Roasted Caulfloer appetizer was best part for me

My beet salad with avocado and pistachios was unusual and delicious. My entree of beef tenderloin was just fine, not great. The potato that came with it was rather bland. My husband loved his veal shank. My daughter loved the lobster spaghetti dish. I found the dining chair too low for the table height. It made eating a tad awkward.

The server was excellent; however, the delivery of the entrees was slow. The grilled octopus was mushy; I couldn’t eat it. The last time I was at the restaurant, the service was poor—very slow; it seemed that there weren’t enough servers. At one point, we had to get up from the table to go find our server.

First time at Del Mar It is a large and lively venue. Good choices for drinks and our server was friendly and efficient. We shared the Greek salad, she had the scallops and I had the filet, both exceptional. The salad was very fresh and also quite good. We will definitely go back.

We had the oysters first which were a disappointment. Maybe end of their supply. Had the same variety the next night at The French and they were perfect. My filet was just ok and my salad was not great. Food was much better last Spring. The decor is very attractive and it has a lively atmosphere but for the price of the food there are much better choices.

We requested a quiet table on the second floor in a private room weeks ahead of time. When we arrived we were told someone had reserved the room until 8:00pm. Obviously these people were more important than us. They should have asked us if we wanted to “reserve” the room until 8:00pm. Clearly something we could have done. Then there was nothing available in the upstairs dining room nor the second floor balcony. We sat in the bar which is a place I wanted to sit at the last 3 times I was there but was denied. So none of us could hear each other talk the entire night. Nicest waitress ever but I don’t want to revisit this place since clearly we are not important enough.

We had another amazing dinner at Del Mar. We travel to Naples a couple of times a year and always make it a point to dine at Del Mar. The Lobster Spaghetti and the Bronzino are two of the favorites in our group!

I love the atmosphere of Del Mar, the oysters were amazing, but I do have to say that the entree food is so expensive and was disappointing in flavor and serving size. I wanted to love it, but the cost/enjoyment/value/food quality ratio is just not there.

Waitress was awesome! She acknowledged requests made during booking and was just 100% on top of everything. We really enjoyed our special night here! Loved the margarita and the octopus app! My salmon was delish too! Very elegant aura. I recommend for a special night

Service was impeccable by Rae, our server. Food was excellent except my steak was medium rare, not medium., not to my liking. Two of us were celebrating our birthdays and they brought each of us a bday dessert. Delish!

Del Mar always impresses. We (four of us) visited for my wife's birthday and the hostess gave us our choice of tables. The weather was ideal, so we opted for the veranda on the second floor overlooking 5th Avenue. Although there was traffic it was not noisy and the space between tables was very accommodating. Our waiter, JOE, is to ask for! He provided outstanding, attentive service. He and his support servers were fantastic. The drinks were generous, the wine was special. Oh...and the food? Everything each of us ordered was perfectly seasoned and fresh from the kitchen. Oh...and FREE birthday dessert to top it off. We'll be back!

We had 6:15 reservations . Since we could see how slow service was we decided to have salad and main course of flat bread (pizza) Main course never came til 8:00 pm. And this is with walking around looking for Waiter to tell him we wanted to order our meal after an hour wait. Never had this slow service anywhere . And not like this last year at at Del Mar. As wrong as this sounds , I would recommend you talk to waiter up front that you hear service is slow at Del Mar and you would appreciate at least being able to order as soon as possible. It was simply embarrassing to try to show guests a good night on the town and basically not be able to eat decently for an hour snd 45 min. Just plain lack of attentiveness and consideration on part of waiter. It’s a shame, otherwise this restaurant used to be one of my favorites in Naples

The overall experience was ok. We were seated on the upstairs patio, which was nice for a patio. Definitely quieter than downstairs where the very loud bar area is centered. Service was friendly and good. We started with an inexpensive bottle of Pinot grigio for $48. Then I had a green salad. Hubby and I split the large grilled seafood platter and roasted brussel sprouts side dish. Hubby has an after dinner grappa ($18). The patio had a nice view of 5th avenue with good people watching. The food was pretty good but not 5 star dining and not what I would expect for over $300!!! Next time I would just go with ocean prime. It seems like a bargain in comparison for just above average seafood with sandy scallops and clams and patio dining on patio chairs. Nope. Not for me.
