Del Frisco's Grille - Southlake Ratings and Reviews
We went for my husbands birthday. Took an extra 10 minutes to be sat. When we got to our table there were 3 empty ones nearby. The hostess verified it was a birthday. We saw two other tables get a dessert with a candle. We did not. Very disappointing.
Cheesesteak egg rolls and lemon cake were amazing. Entrees were just ok.
We are frequent visitors, but this time was disappointing. Even though we sat 5 feet from the bar area the waitress would not give us happy hour drink specials. My two favorites, meatloaf and pork chops have been removed from the menu. Pork shank is a new addition but was not as good as I hoped. Noise level continues to be a problem when on date night. Disappointing night!
We've always had good experiences at other Del Frisco's. So, I decided to take my wife here for her birthday dinner since it is closer to our house. Both of our steaks were overdone. My medium was at least medium well. To be fair when asked by the waiter to cut into our steaks, he acknowledged it was overdone and sent the manager over. I didn't want to wait on another one and my wife was okay with her medium well that had zero pink, so I told them I'd eat it. Although the waiter offered us a complimentary dessert, the selection was limited (no fresh berries, sorbet, fruit pies, etc.) so we declined and ended up going to DQ for a chocolate dipped cone. All in all not the experience we would expect from a Del Frisco's. There's a Bob's Steak and Chop House in the same area that will be our next special occasion dinner. Disappointed...
I took 12 girls to celebrate my daughter 18th birthday. The service and food was outstanding!! The only down side was we had an 8:00 pm reservation but was not seated until about 8:30. However, with that being said, they out did them selves with the table service. Will be there for Christmas celebration with employees!!
Made reservations for a Birthday dinner. When we arrived for our reservation they were clearly not ready for us and more importantly, scrambling to find us a place to sit. Told us to wait for a few minutes and they were working on our "table". When finally seated, service was disorganized and slow. All attention was on another table, one of whose occupants was obviously an owners family as she was going in and out of the kitchen and behind the bar. Wait staff were totally focused on her flitting about. The noise level was "over the top", the food was very mediocre and the whole experience was unpleasant. Needless to say, another sad restaurant addition to Southlake.
I thought my food was just Okay. I really expected more. Seemed like an over priced Outback. Nothing that I ate was anything special. I found the upper level of the restaurant fairly loud. It was difficult to have a quiet conversation. The service however, was quite good. I wouldn’t recommend but if you want to give it a try why not.
Dined here for our anniversary. The cheesesteak eggrolls were slightly over-fried (burnt at the edges). The lump came cake was good but not thoroughly warmed. Our entrees were successes: 8oz filet mignon cooked medium to perfection. The short rib pappardelle was delicious. We were given a complimentary dessert--a coconut cream pie which was a nice finishing touch. The service was good, the ladies who served us were friendly.
We sat at a booth close to the kitchen and had annnoying fruit flies buzzing around us.
Overall a pleasant experience minus the few kinks.
The staff was very nice, but unfortunately that is where the accolades end.
Nothing my wife or I had was above average, and most failed to even meet that. My ribeye was ordered medium but came out very undercooked. They insisted on taking it back to try to correct it, and I got back a very charred, overdone steak.
Very disappointed, would not recommend.
We were looking for a quiet dinner - noise level was difficult for us to have a conversation.
Steaks were under-cooked. We are hesitant to send under-cooked steaks back because experience shows us that the steaks are then over-cooked.
Our server, Anthony, was very attentive.
Would not recommend Steak was great that was where great ended all sides were cool not warm and hit exemptions was rude giving a no care attitude when asked about bread comment given was oh there's a price okay but isn't there a way to express this bettrr? Not pleased with your restaurant and Wil post as such to others
We enjoyed Sunday Brunch for our teenage daughter's birthday. The Red Velvet Belgian Waffles are a favorite and the adults enjoyed the carafe of mimosas offered on the brunch menu. We also appreciated that the birthday girl was treated to a complimentary Coconut Cream Pie. Great service and food will make this a top pick for special occasions with our family.
Great food and service are always available here along with easy access from 1709 or 114. The staff at the restaurant always make you feel right at home. Outstanding wines and mixed drinks, along with a great selection of beers as well. This one of our favorite places for lunch or dinner.
Arrived for reservation and had a wait of 10 minutes. During which we were left standing in the middle of the entrance. All but ran over several times with people rushing in the door or wait staff going upstairs. Seated in a booth across from bar area. Noise level unreal. My grandson was celebrating his birthday and we had to all but yell to hear each other. Wait staff took forever to notice us and then I had a long wait for my drink. We both ordered steaks one rare and one medium rare. Near as we could tell both came rare. Food was very good but again the noise level was unreal. Birthday is a special one day that I treat my grandson to a nice dining time. Before we were even half way finished with our steaks the check arrived. Never saw the desert menu or even a chance for a coffee to end dinner. I think next year it will be back to dining at Ruth's Chris. I expect a quiet dining experience where we can enjoy our meal and talk normally. Sorry but so disappointed as I have dined at Del Frisco's and it was an entirely different experience and more enjoyable.
