I was disappointed to see that I could no longer get my favorite appetizer of cheesesteak egg rolls because fish and chips was recently added to the menu.
It seems add to me that you fry chicken, fries and other fried items with seafood due to allergies. Seafood should be on separate grills and fryers in my opinion.
Given all the recent horror stories about staff shortages, etc. due to pandemic conditions, we had a fantastic late lunch - prompt service, good drinks, and great food. Well done!
Every time we come here, it’s the same. Food and drinks are amazing!!! Servers and bartenders just don’t want to be there and it shows. I prefer to order takeout from them anymore
Incredible Beef stroganoff. And coconut cream pie!!! Blue cheese salad is phenomenal!!!!
Service failed on several levels. No one at the host stand for 10 min after we arrived. A group of 3-4 parties were lined up. Several staff walked by and diverted eyes as to not deal with the issue. Once the hostess showed up, she asked if we wanted to eat inside or outside. We asked for the roof. She handed us two menu's and told us we could walk upstairs. There was no one upstairs to show us to a table. We sat ourselves. In terms of menu, my wife is dairy free. It was a struggle to get a vegetable ordered without butter. Finally, they agreed to cook asparagus for her. Her "medium Well" steak came out rare. We sent it back. It came back medium rare. Sent it back. Medium. She ate around the outside. They took it off the bill.
Overall, they underperformed in multiple ways. This is my first negative review ever.
The waitress was pressing us to order. She came to the table server several times. We mentioned we wanted to talk with our friends. It appeared she just wanted to “turn over”:the table….. :(
Sadly the service was so bad it overshadowed the very good food. It is incredible that such a nice place cannot deliver even mid-level service. What a disappointment.
Food was delicious and the ambience was nice. I think our waiter would have preferred to have the night off. He never told us his name. He got the drink order wrong. He didn't apologize or check on us after dinner arrived. Kind of a bummer for a special occasion.
I did enjoy listening to the waiter at the table next to us. He shared lots of great details about the dishes and seemed excited about the menu and the occasion the family was celebrating. If we'd had him as a waiter, my review would likely be 5 stars.
We might try again sometime, but will probably stick with Elways or The Edge where the service, food and ambience are always consistent and stellar.
Food was ok but I'm the price point I have had far tastier.
Great food and a good place to go for a business meeting. A little on the pricey end for a salad. Also, service was excellent!
We sat on sidewalk patio, there are no heaters, hopefully they will consider adding as many people do like to be outside due to Covid
Amazing waiter (Kyle) we were there sept 21 at 6:30-10pm. Food was outstanding!
Service was great. The rooftop seating was awesome, perfect weather. Kids liked their food, wings for one, fish&chips for the other. But our steaks were WAY over seasoned. The excessive salt sort of ruined the meal, almost inedible.
My steak was undercooked. By the time it was returned to the table the rest of the guest were just about done eating. The server dropped the dish off and left. This is not the first time this has happened at this location. I will not return for dinner.
We dined on a Wednesday night. Several large parties/private parties, upstairs patio was full so we sat inside. We ordered drinks and the cheesesteak eggrolls. The eggrolls were at our table in about one minute. Tasted like it to! The app should not come before drinks. It was barely warm, not very appetizing. For dinner, there was a arctic char special with veggies/polenta and poblano cream sauce for $41. I thought that was a little high for char, it tasted good. The presentation wasn't great. The sauce was really an afterthought, very lightly drizzled over the entire plate, instead of only the fish. the veggies included potatoes and near-raw carrots (didn't eat them). Probably should not include potatoes when you are serving polenta too. The polenta was very creamy,. My date had the salmon and it was good. Always like the caramel pot de creme dessert. Service was okay, server was not friendly.
5 year anniversary for my wife and I.
I had reservations and the restaurant was empty. They sat us in the bar area at a both. In that booth was a rolled up floor mat that we had to take out. We got up and asked to be sat in the dinning area. There were 2 servers and none of them introduced themselves. They just asked what we wanted. No features or anything. They suggested the roasted broccoli which looked like microwaved frozen broccoli. She even said it was good since it was roasted it had crunchy bits. It was cold and almost a brown color. My strip was over cooked to med well when I asked for it med rare. For a 200 bill that includes wine I won’t be going back. We are from Houston and I have had better experiences at salt grass a sister restaurant and much cheaper.
After a long work week, this was a great ending. Steaks were delicious and perfectly cooked. I ordered the roasted broccoli for my side, but was sadly disappointed. The broccoli looked like it had been boiled and the broccoli pieces we're already turning yellow. I am in the food business so I was surprised that they would serve broccoli like that. Our server took it off our bill. We also ordered the truffle mac and cheese which more than made up for the broccoli. Overall, a really nice experience.
Food wasn’t good and was expensive. Don’t order the steak frites.
We had friends come in from out of town. I wanted us (6 people) to have an enjoyable outdoor patio dinner. This is the first place that I have ever been with a patio that has no lights- not even simple ambient lighting. I thought the waitress was joking when it started to get dark and I asked if they could turn on some lights and she said “no”- that there were no lights. We could not even see our food or each other at the table. They finally brought us a mini tea light candle that barely worked. Although we could barely see the food, it was over salted (I couldn’t even eat the scallops because they were so over salted). My husband’s steak was over done (even though he asked for it to be medium rare).(maybe they didn’t have lights in the kitchen either?). The entire experience was a terrible disappointment. Needless to say, we won’t be back and recommend folks finding another place in cherry creek to eat as the options are way better.
food was wonderful. Had a great waiter but you could tell he was running around trying to keep up with his job demands. Waters were never refilled and although the food was great, pretty slow in delivery
My wife and I both had the half shaved beef sandwich and ceasar salad. Both of us thought that they were excellent, especially the dressing on the salad. We will definitely have them again. Our wait person was great so we had an excellent experience.
We really enjoyed the food, ambiance and our server was great.
However, the whole process was very slow and it was not busy.
Great food and drink options. Rooftop patio for a night cap. Nice place
Inexperienced server made things a little slower than usual.
With very few diners in the restaurant, the service was extremely slow. The lunch menu listed a fish special but the server said it wasn’t available until 5 pm, if that’s the case then don’t put it on the menu. A bottle of wine was ordered and it took over20 minutes for the server today it was unavailable. But on a brighter note, the food ordered was delicious.
Went for roof top, they had it closed. That was the second time we went for specifically roof top and it was closed. They said not enough employees to open the roof top. Server was horrible. Really bad service. Food just ok. No mention of the birthdays we were celebrating. Everything was slow. Very disappointing. Not worth the money.
Went very well. Waiter was great.
the steak had way too much seasoning - back off on that - it was very salty - other than that all was fine
We were seated immediately despite being late, and had a great time. Our server was attentive and friendly and the food was excellent.
Rooftop is the best, great ambiance and great drinks too.
I order the steak salad and ordered medium, specifically said pink all over. It came out well done. No pink to be seen. They did offer to remake another one but I declined
Salmon was overcooked
Firstly, once seated we didn’t get service or water for almost 15 minutes. That’s completely unacceptable. We tried to order Pick 3: sirloin, filet and salmon. They were out of the smaller filet served with this dish. So we order pick 2 and a larger filet. The salmon was a major disappointment. Dry. Thin. Tasteless. We also ordered the Mediterranean shrimp and it was a very good and tasty dish. Thank goodness, because otherwise I’d give this 2 stars. Descent wine selection. Another saving grace. I attribute some of the issues with the service and staffing issues happening around the world. But the food at a steakhouse such as this should make up for that. It didn’t. Sorry.
Great service. Excellent food. Can’t ask for more!
Second time here and service continues to lack - from checking in to getting the bill. Seems like restaurant is incredibly under staffed. Super disappointing - especially bc we are coming from Manhattan and wanted experience to be on par.
Food was excellent. Atmosphere was fun and trendy. Parking was easy and the location was amazing. Food was very delicious and the service was awful. If we got the server at the bar to look at us once every 20 minutes we were lucky. She acted as if she hated her job and was annoyed to be there. Unfortunate because Del Frescos is one of our favorite restaurants. We won’t be traveling to CC to eat there again. If you enjoy good service where you feel like your appreciated to be there, Del Frescos should be your go to. Not Del Frescos Grill. It’s unfortunate. Everyone sitting around us felt the same way. In fact a few people got up and left. 🙁 It’s too bad because I really wanted to love it.
Great service, good wines, appetizers were great but some of the entrees a little off point for our guests. Steaks over cooked and hard to cut, no sauce delivered when ordered. Guests had a good time. 6.5 out of 10.
Horrible service…I expect something for $150 (2 people + small child)…it was our 19th year anniversary and it was never acknowledged, even though it was in our reservation…wanted to try it this Cherry creek staple…never again! We left after an hour an forty-five hour dinner…and all of our plates still on the table…again just horrible service! Boo.
The food was very good. Unfortunately our waitress was busy with at least 2 large tables so we were relegated to 2nd class customers. Her answers to questions was short & curt, she definitely did not go out of her way to provide anything other than basic service. We asked for a sample of wine, which she brought but when I decided on a different wine I was surprised that she poured my order into the sample glass which still had some of the samples wine instead of using some clean glasses that we’re sitting on the table. All in all the food was good but the service not so much. Maybe she was just having a bad day or we just weren’t a large enough table. Who knows.
