Overrated by far! No better than casual restaurants at much higher prices! Crab cakes suck, flatbread pizzas were cheap and crusts were soggy (probably frozen), drinks were over priced ($14 for Patron??). So funny, they must not be good considering they are always available on Open Table when surrounding restaurants are not available.
The menus for restaurant week were off online. It wasn’t great because I went in with the idea of eating one thing, only to find it completely changed out (the appetizer, main and dessert). The server was also very impatient with us, rushing our order, not being friendly/helpful which didn’t help the experience. Thankfully, the food we did get was pretty good! I had their sea bass, truffle Mac and cheese, and the Nutella bread pudding. My boyfriend had the rib eye steak and it was delicious, cooked to perfection. I just wish everything else had been better!
In conclusion: get it to go :)
I’ve already left a review on Yelp. Our service was HORRIBLE, TERRIBLE. There are not enough words in the dictionary to describe the poor service that we received along with the burnt steak that was served. I would NOT suggest ever going to this place.
Just a nice afternoon out away from our normal stomping grounds . The most DELICIOUS coconut cream pie! Thanks for a great afternoon
Del Frisco's was fine. The food was decent, service ok, ambiance satisfactory. I guess I may expect a little more from a place that is considered fine dining. The do a nice job of cooking steak. Everything else is pretty average or maybe slightly above average. Not sure I would suggest it for someone looking for something special, but I also wouldn't steer someone away from it.
Food was great
The food didn't live up the Del Frisco's name. My steak wasn't that good.
The noise level was too loud for regular conversation. The wait staff was OK except our waiter was brusque. Appetizers were good. My entree, shaved steak sandwich, was dry and overcooked—inedible really. Burger was ordinary.
I ordered their surf and turf at $47, maybe $43. The filet looked great until I cut into it when I discovered that it was very tough and chewy. They were having a busy night and I didn't want to cause a commotion by sending it back, but I really should have. Definitely not Del Frisco's quality of meat.
Just wasn’t my favorite. Hostess for got about us.
Every element of our meal was perfectly prepared. We were not bothered too much by servers or waitress. Recommendations were excellent. Quite literally the best gin and tonic I've ever had; they are not stingy on their drinks. My Filet was cooked perfectly, a little over medium, and my boyfriend's was perfectly medium. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
Going for Restaurant Week this time, we quickly saw that the offered menu was really no bargain. In fact, I ordered a la carte as a result. Equally surprising is to find out that bread/butter is not offered during the week. Does the menu have lower weekday price-points? No. Minor points and the food was, as usual, very good. Tables are much closer than 6-feet but being double-vaxxed, less of a concern for us. Dee Lincoln had an amazing restaurant in North Dallas years ago. These days, under Landry's ownership it is still very good, especially for the expense account crowd and hopefully with things opening back up, minor points will go away and it will again be an outstanding restaurant along with overall value-for-money.
I ordered dessert for restaurant week and the server gave me something else. She said the dessert I ordered was dry and not good. I would at least given the option to ordered a different one. Not have her order one for me.
We went during restaurant week. Everything was wonderful. I loved my dessert....caramel pots de creme!!
Nice selection from which to choose.
A bit noisy and the service was not very attentive...ordering an expensive bottle of wine was a challenge for the server and it took too long to deliver to table ...our order was not executed correctly
Disappointing for a restaurant with the Del Frisco name
Their signature VIP cocktail was delicious! Very refreshing for the summer. Wait staff and servers were top notch.
I went for Restaurant week and to celebrate a birthday.
It was not a very good deal as you had to upgrade everything.
We ordered the Filet mignon that the waitress recommended. First I ordered medium well and I had to send it back it was too raw for me. second, it was so tough. the knives they provided were dull which made it even harder to cut the meat.
I usually like it here but this was one of my most terrible experiences.
An indifferent staff made for a disappointing meal. Del Friscos in the Tech Center has always been excellent. Del Friscos in Cherry Creek was an utter disappointment.
I sat at the bar on Monday for Restaurant Week(RW). I ordered a glass of wine, and then crickets: no one returned to take my order. A manager finally, with a frustrated attitude, came to take my order - not my server. The RW menu comes a three-course meal. I ordered the Ceasar, the Sirloin, and dessert. The manager informed me that they were out of Sirloin, but I could opt for the chicken or fish or upgrade to the Filet Mignon for $10. First warning sign: if I were at Capital Grill or Ruth Chris, they would comp the measly Filet upcharge.
When the salad finally came out, it was wonderful. The Filet took forever to arrive, and it arrived Medium Well, not Medium Rare. No one came to check on the temperature of the meat; I had to flag down another manager. To their credit, the new one arrived relatively quickly. I received a half-hearted apology, and a look in his eye like this was not the first time this had happened tonight. This Filet, like the other was not butter soft, had no flavor at all and took 3 passes with the knife to cut it.
I had to flag down a waitress to get a second glass of wine to wash down my meal. And, at no point, did the waitress ever ask, even with an empty glass in front of me, if I would like another. And, never once, did my empty water glass get filled.
The dessert was very good, again when it finally showed. When the bill arrived, the upcharge was still there and no adjustment for the overcooked meal given. This has never happened at any other steakhouse, even an Outback. Ironically, the server neglected to charge for the second glass of wine. But, not once, was mention made to the problem with the steak, nor any apology. Mistakes happen - own it and make it right! I overheard two other parties complain about their experience as well.
We were there for restaurant week, which lists a $45 menu, when we got to the restaurant they didn't have the items from the menu because they had ran out of them, but they conviniently offer other items that were of course more expensive. This should have been disclosed in the original reservation so that we are aware in advance that our check will definitely not be $45, but more like $100 for just food.
We went to del friscos for restaurant week. They were out of the steak on the restaurant week menu. We ordered off that menu and 2 out of 4 steaks were severely undercooked. When asked to have it put back on the grill it came back overcooked. Overall a poor experience for an expensive dinner.
Worst experience ever. Four of us went for Restaurant Week, our reservation was at 4:45. By the time we ordered our entree around 5:30 we were informed they were already out of the sirloin steak which was one of the featured entrees. No replacement was offered, if you didn't want salmon or chicken you had to pay the up-charge fee for filet. Later, after we ordered dessert, the server returned to our table and told us the dessert listed on the Restaurant Week menu and website that we all ordered was an error. We were given a replacement which we ordered only to have the server return again and inform us they were out of that dessert. A manager never did bother to come by and apologize for the menu error or shortage of menu items.
The food was okay, the waitress was not friendly and forgot part of our order.
Original service was slow but understandable on a Friday night but made up for it during the rest of the meal. Truly an enjoyable dinner and service. Would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone!
The food and service was AMAZING! We had the eggrolls and shrimp salad - yum! We also had a cocktail 😊
Awesome service and delicious food
Safe and Delicious!
Food was great, service was wonderful.
Had a wonderful dinner, great service. Delightful. We had deviled eggs with truffle vinigerette...so good.
"Business casual"--HA! People sitting around in sweat pants and hoodies. Hardly the ambience we had expected.
Always a favorite and glad to see that things are returning to normal.
Service was extremely slow. Restaurant wasn’t even that busy so I’m not sure why our service was so bad
Food was average. Brussel Sprouts were burned. Service was good and plenty of choices. Fine for a group.
Experience was just ok. We expected a more attentive experience.
We came for Sunday “brunch” but there was no brunch- just a lunch menu. I would highly recommend a brunch menu to liven the ambience on Sunday mornings.
Food was great. Service was awful.
Horribly rude and slow, inattentive service. We are not normally very critical of food service as we know how hard it is, but this waiter ruined our experience.
Great food, but poor service/kitchen timing left more of an impression.
Horrific food and service. Took over two hours for lunch. I will never go back.
amazing food. love the vegan choices . great business. great service. highly recommend
we had a very nice quiet and relaxed Easter:Sunday breakfast on the sidewalk. very lovely. Outstanding server.
