   The atmosphere and views were the best part of the evening. The cocktail and beer suggestions were good. Calamari with the sauce was our favorite food of the night. The salmon was good but was undercooked and oily. The Island Spice Rubbed chicken was mediocre, and overly seasoned.

   Got to restaurant 30 mins before our reservation. Hostess offered for us to have a seat by the pool while we wait. We got seated right on time. But we waited 35 mins for our waitress to ask for our orders. She got the bill for the table to the right and left of us but didn’t even acknowledge us. Once she did come to take our orders, half of the food wasn’t available. Ran out of pork belly, ribs and prawns. So on top of all that, we were very limited. Horrible experience!!

   We at a reservation for 8 and did not get seated until 8:45. When the food finally came, they only brought 3 of the 5 entree’s we ordered. 2 of our guests were not provided food until the other 3 had already finished eating. The waitstaff was apologetic and kind but the kitchen was having issues. Food was mediocre.

   What a wonderful time and place to gather with good friends. The hotel and zoo parking across the street are always convenient. Indoor and outdoor tables offer beautiful views of Diamond Head and the ocean. The service is good, the drinks are fantastic, and I especially enjoyed the Japanese pancakes. Another guest particularly liked the avocado sandwich. However, the pigeons on the tables, dropping dishes, were unsanitary, and I hope to not see that again.

   Would never go back. We had to ASK someone to come to our table to take our order after waiting for 20 min after being seated. The guy who brought our food just dropped it off and walked away. Place isn’t worth anything as you can’t meet the customers needs.

   No hospitality felt today! We had a 1:00 reservation but came 40 min early following a function at the shell. We tried to communicate thru Open Table messaging and left phone messages as well but never got a response until 11:39. We had a party of 8 & were told we'd have to wait until the actual reservation time because there was a large party ahead of us. We asked to sit at the bar and were told "it's open seating". 3?people were left standing even tho there was an open table with bar height seating near the hostess stand ( we were told we couldn't sit there). Service at the bar was very slow because the bartender was working alone. After 30 minutes I saw a newly arrived party of 7 get seated. We could easily have been seated at those tables. At 1:10 we inquired with the hostess and we were told it would be another 15-30 minutes. We asked about being charged the $20/person fee if we left and she said we would not be charged. Never coming back-servers and staff not friendly from the start...... bad memory of what should have been a joyous celebration.

   May 2,2025 I would rate my experience a 2 out of 5. We ordered the brunch hamburger ($28) and requested shoestring potatoes instead of the fingerling ones, but they came overly salty. I also asked for the burger medium well, but it arrived burnt. Coffee refills had to be requested rather than offered, and overall, the service lacked attentiveness. While I could've asked for my meal to be redone, it just didn't feel worth the effort. At one point, a pillow fell to the floor and two servers walked by without noticing-only the hostess eventually picked it up and replaced it. The highlight of the visit was the beautiful view of Diamond Head.
