Dinner: Tuesday – Sunday: 5:00pm - 10:00pm
Brunch: Saturday – Sunday: 10:00am – 3:00pm
Had a lovely brunch with friends, seated in the front sun-room. The food was amazing, and the service is always top-notch! Love the atmosphere, and always a favorite!
was real good,
brazy tho only coloured folx there.
The best meal service I have ever experienced. Wonderful and creative food. Very reasonable price. The closed in porch was a little chilly though. Definitely will return!
Went for their thanksgiving dinner. It was absolutely exceptional from start to finish!
Wonderful, cheerful service! Food is fresh and served with a flair!
We took part in the Thanksgiving Dinner special that was offered all weekend. We dined on the Saturday night - the atmosphere was energetic. Our meal was simply delicious - moist spatchcock chicken with t-giving day favorites of stuffing and brussel sprouts. The pear sticky toffee pudding with salted caramel sauce should be a standard on the menu but if only once a year it’s a reason to mark the calendar!!
Very charming feel and ambience. Service was friendly and professional.
Seating inside the house looked spacious but seating in the enclosed porch felt cramped. Our table was inches away from our neighbours and we could hear both of their conversations on either side of us. If you want a more intimate dining experience ask for a more private table.
Food was brought out in a timely manner. I ordered the duck confit. The dish was very over-salted and it did mask the flavours of the ingredients of the dish. I wouldn’t order it again.
We loved dining on what was the outdoor veranda on the original home. The food was excellent and the service outstanding. Highly recommend.
Always a delight! Service is always top notch and the menu is creative!
Excellent service and quality of food as always. Always a great brunch spot.
Outstanding service and staff. Feel very comfortable dining here for any occasion, food was fantastic as was the ambiance. Highly recommended. One of the chefs came out to visit our table just to check on our orders and thank us girl coming iodine there.
The food and ambiance was absolutely fantastic! It was a great restaurant for a wonderful and relaxing evening with friends. Great menu selection too, as my friends have some dietary restrictions.
The only issue (...or not) was a long dark hair strand on one of the appetizers. Luckily my friends didn't think it was an issue because it had fallen on top of the food and not cooked into it. We still shared the appetizers...after plucking out the hair!
It did get noisy when the dining area got full. We were lucky to have a table at the end of the room but had some difficulties hearing each other when the room was full.
Overall, I would say it's one of the best restaurants in Calgary.
Fabulous flavorful food in an warm and historically authentic atmosphere.
Overall we had a lovely lunch. Although we weren’t in a rush we felt a little neglected once or twice as quite a lot of time lapsed between server’s visits. We were after the lunch rush and the restaurant was all but empty. The squash soup was incredible ( there needed to be more of it). I found the vinaigrette on the greens much too salty but the fish cakes great. My friend enjoyed her perogies and beets. We both agreed that a double helping of the soup and bread along with the wonderful pumpkin dessert would have made a perfect lunch.
Food was very good but the service was very slow . Our server was pleasant but not very attentive until it was time to pay
We had a exceptional lunch, attentive waitress and excellent food.
Our must stop when we come from Vancouver Island.
It was a great spot for between a wedding ceremony and reception. The garden room was perfect for our party of 7. The dumplings were to die for and the burgers amazing! Loved the background music and felt the service was paced perfectly. The view was truly special too! This made for a great day! Recommended+++
Our server was EXCELLENT and the food DELICIOUS. The pastry trio is a MUST. Both my Step Mother and Mother In Law enjoyed their French Toast. My toddler devoured the adult sized portion of scrambled eggs and bacon - it’s that good!
My guests from out of town were impressed: location, selection, food. A good place to host people.
They renovated while still leaving the old world charm. Food was very good.
Pleasant experience, a little bit expensive . Overall a good day.
The service was lovely just the right amount of professional and friendly. The food easily accommodated my wheat allergy, and the presentation and taste was outstanding. It is a bit pricey, two for lunch no wine and one desert 80.00+ but for a special treat its well worth it.
Always a great experience
The food was excellent so they win on that. And the wait staff were very pleasant and tried hard to please us. However we had a 745 reservation were not seated until almost 915. Other groups were coming in and getting seated while we waited at the bar. They did compensate us (after being informed that we expected some kind of compensation) with a bottle of wine so at least it was something. But in my opinion keeping a party of three waiting an hour and a half past their reservation time is simply not acceptable.
We had visitors from overseas and wanted to take them somewhere fancy; Deane house did not disappoint. The food is inventive and delicious, the waiter was happy to answer all of our questions regarding ingredients we had never heard of, and the cocktails were divine.
Awesome start to finish!
Great service. We opted for the tasting menu, first course was a bit bland, but the remaining courses were delicious.
Thought that the menu was a little fancy and was unsure what to order...went with the hamburger and it was amazing! Also tried my wife's ribs & the meat was extremely tender & fell right off the bone!
Really enjoyed the atmosphere. Loved the food . A little pricey. Waitress was great.
Everything was fantastic! We took advantage of the free corkage on Sunday. Can’t wait to go back!!!
Food was excellent.
Cocktails were amazing.
Service was excellent.
The cheese cake was incredible.
Would definitely recommend the Deane House.
Simply amazing. Custom cocktail and impeccable food. One of the best meals I’ve had (not just in Calgary, but anywhere). Will definitely be back.
Unique setting with beautiful gardens. Fresh menu with many novel items. Great place for lunch with a friend. Servers very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu n
I knew that Deane House had a strong reputation in Calgary's culinary space but I was not at all prepared to find out that even with the hype, it is underrated. We came in for a special event on the day of the Pride parade and due to our poor planning for the blockages were a full 30 minutes late before we completed our party and the staff at Deane House were so immensely understanding and polite about it, and did not even mention anything negative other than saying that we now only had our table for an hour, which was of course absolutely fine. Our server was wonderful, the food was easily the best brunch in Calgary (that I've tried so far in my 4 years and dozens of brunches). I will fisticuff for that to whomever wants to challenge that... You know how sometimes places go a little too abstract with their brunch creations and then fall short? This is not one of those places. All their creative, funky dishes work and holy god the french toast... i need to be held. So amazing and i have not much of a sweet tooth at all.
Despite only having a tight 60 for our meal we did not feel rushed AT ALL and due to the flawless pace of service, it didn't even feel like it was a 'rushed' situation at all.
Even FOH staff who weren't our server were being so wonderful and polite and even offered to take our pictures without being asked (like, multiple servers offered it was so sweet). I was just blown away by this experience. To top it all off, a charming jazz trio was playing in the corner of the outdoor seating area and was not too loud and definitely very talented. The venue of course, is simply gorgeous and reminds me of the beautiful gardens you see in England just bursting with flowers and gorgeousness. I could not have imagined a better birthday for my mother and we are definitely coming back very soon.
The service and food were amazing. It was perfect for our special occasion. We went with the tasting menu, which was excellent . Everyone in our party had a different favorite course from the evening. Phenomenal.
My wife and I were out to celebrate our anniversary and decided to try Deane House as an alternative to the River Cafe (where we've had our anniversary dining for the past two or three years). We're very glad we did.
we had Cailyn serving us and it was a great overall experience, due in no small part to her energy and friendliness. As luck and timing had it, my wife and I had the patio to ourselves for much of the night and we didn't feel neglected in the least by your wait staff.
The food was delicious and a great time was had.
Outstanding food and excellent service. Very enjoyable
Treasure - our waitress was great! Food was really wonderful, fresh and delicious- bar staff excellent and well informed! Great experience!
Great food and service. A bit pricey. Perogies and Duck were succulent.
Knowledgeable server and lovely ambiance.
We were celebrating a birthday and it was a perfect place to do that especially with the jazz music playing in the background. The food & service were excellent and we will be going back soon.
