This was a great dining experience! I love the ambiance and the beautiful pieces of art hung up around the restaurant. The caprese salad was very well plated and it complimented the fresh bread well. I had the portobello ravioli, which was very delicious, with the chocolate mousse for desert. Great experience overall and would come back.

It was a great environment, with a quiet atmosphere and semi-casual setting. I felt like this could be fancy for a date but could also be casual with friends. I had the beef potstickers which were amazing and timely. For the main course I had the gnocchi which was perfectly cooked and had really fresh, flavorful vegetables in the dish. To finish off the night, I ordered the creme brulee with a herbal tea. Overall, the meal felt almost home cooked and every aspect of it was great, even the dish presentation. Highly recommend for any occasion.

Dale Street Bistro has an amazing environment, quiet and calming ambiance, and delicious food! I ordered the Caprese salad which was made with fresh, ripe, juicy tomatoes and fresh cheese that wasn't soggy. The balsamic sauce was sweet and tasty -- unlike other versions I've had that have sometimes been watery. The blackened salmon was flavorful and tasty, and the cheesecake was to die for! Also, the service was prompt and the servers were extremely welcoming and kind. The food was out within 5-10 minutes and no waiting was necessary. I would definitely return again -- had a great experience.

This Cozy little Victorian restaurant is a hidden gem. My wife was out of town so I thought I would give it a try as it is in my college neighborhood and I had it recommended to me by a couple who are regular customers. The trout was outstanding. The bread pudding with whiskey (I think) sauce was not like my mother made when we were kids. Don’t miss it! The price, $17, was fair although the evening was , nevertheless, expensive as I ended up purchasing a piece of original art from their quite expansive gallery. I had a great table by the Van Briggle fireplace and hated to leave (maybe that was also due to my inevitable return to an empty house!). Don’t let the construction at the college across the street get in your way, there is parking (well hidden) behind the building.

Very nice atmosphere. We got a great table right next to the fireplace and the service was excellent. Unfortunately they did not have the ribeye steak I wanted but the pork and salmon my wife got were both very good.

We were lead to the upstairs dining level which was rather depressing, as the ceiling paint was cracked and pealing, giving the general impression of being quite shabby. The experience downstairs in the main dining room might have been better, however, we’ll never know. The fish was bland and not particularly enticing. The service was okay. I would highly recommend you make another choice for a better dining experience.

We had the Valentine special, unfortunately we didn’t get our salad or bread. Not a huge deal since the rest of the meal was very good & didn’t need the “filler”.

I had a uniquely poor experience. The restaurant was decorated in the sort of rustic/rundown way that you expect in a great Cajun restaurant, but later on you wonder how much of it was intentional. We ordered a Roasted Garlic Bulb as an appetizer which came with two small dollops of hummus and some flatbread. I didn't know what to expect, but it was cloves of garlic that you had to fish out and it looked really unappetizing (see: trypophobia). We got a three course meal with it and our soups were watery, our steaks were cooked unevenly, vegetables lacked salt and the chocolate cake was dry. POSITIVE: the service was kind and prompt, all seemed like good people, working hard. Other misc feedback is that I needed to ask for steak knives with the steak and the high top tables wobbled whenever I tried to cut my steak. What made it worse was that the dining room is uncomfortably quiet at points and you could hear all the other tables' issues: one guy's steak was overdone, another lady is hearing that the torch from creme brulee is broken, another table had their mains delivered before their starter due to the kitchen having a mix up... everyone was aware of each others' issues and, in a first for me, everyone was talking to each other and joking about the Celine Dion greatest hits being played overhead. Like I said, the staff were kind and I hope my experience was just an off-night. 1 star for me though.

A quaint little restaurant. It’s in an old Victorian house that has plenty of charm and ambience. The food for my date and me was very good. I will definitely return.
