About
While you’re sitting inside in our cozy indoor atmosphere, start your meal with the assorted olives or blue corn-fried calamari. Then move on to our warm bowl of soup or the wild mushroom ravioli. Cyprus Café has also become well known for the pan-seared Skuna Bay salmon that you can add to your choice of salad or enjoy it with our seasonal roasted butternut squash and chickpea hash.
Appetizers and salads were tasty, staff is always friendly and helpful!
Cyprus has a great menu with substantial and creative dishes prepared with a light touch. The mousaka was made with CO elk and not too heavy or oily (as mousaka can be). The scallops were perfectly cooked and a generous portion. My son wished the turkey on his turkey sandwich had been warm but the GF bun was fresh and the polenta sticks were a great change. And the service was excellent, which is not always the case.
Never disappointed. One of our favorites in Durango.
We went to Cypress Cafe to celebrate a friends birthday. We were seated in the booth at the front - ask for this table if you can - great view and a little secluded from the rest of the restaurant. Our dinners were delicious and the wait staff delightful.
Food was fabulous! I had pan seared scallops, which were the best I've ever had. My husband had baked ziti with sausage which also was amazing. Our waitress was so attentive (and busy). We have dined here before and will return again when we are in the area.
We are never disappointed with our dining experience at Cyprus Cafe. Efficient, friendly service, pleasant atmosphere, delicious cuisine, fine wine. Don't think we could ask for more. That's why we keep going back.
Early Valentines to beat the crowds... never disappointed! Great food and service as always!!
I would like to consider myself well-versed in the Durango food arena. But the hands-down winner by a landslide is Cyprus Café five stars on every level to include the staffWho were all absolutely wonderful. Keep up the great work do not change anything it’s working and it’s awesome thank you.
Restaurant ran out of their specialty dish and our reservation was at 7. Also the scallop dish orzo was too tart. Three people had the dish and all three had the same comment. The eggplant dish was over cooked.
Fabulous! My first time at Cyprus - portions were realistic, food was creative, tasty and innovative without being forced, excellent drinks and service. Enjoyed it all very much and will definitely return.
Food was good. Service was great but the place was empty. It is an old house, the wife was cold they use a blanket to keep out the cold.
I enjoy the food and atmosphere, except in winter it's a really cold room. There is a heater, but everytime someone opens the door, it's a cold breeze throughout. There is a curtain to block it, but they don't use it.
The menu did not reflect its name. Food was disappointing. I would definitely not return based on soup, an overdressed salad, with undercooked falafel. Server was friendly and efficient.
Food was great along with the service but it was quite cold in the restaurant.
My husband and I dined here for the first time a few days ago. The food was fresh, unique and outstanding in flavor. Their wine selection was wonderful, from affordable to high end. The decor and atmosphere was comfortable yet elegant. Wait staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Can't wait to go back again!
We have enjoyed Cyprus Cafe for over ten years. This dinner was very disappointing.
As a local, I've been to Cyprus Cafe many times. Normally it has not disappointed. However this time, from the moment I sat down until we left, Cyprus came up short. The service was deplorable; as if the waitress was not trained. Drinks were very late, plates were not removed, second round was forgotten about until reminded and then still super late. The waitress appeared to be a "chicken with her head cut off" zipping past our table. While it was busy, it was not crazy busy, so I don't understand the lack of service. Apologies were made, even an excuse that the bar at Enos where the cocktails are made had a large table and the drinks were coming out slowly. A good server would have comped something, but no offer was made. To add insult to injury, the food was "blah" bordering on "yuck." The starter, that arrived late, was the Greek Polenta, which was bland and flavorless. We didn't even eat the whole thing. I ordered the Chicken and Artichoke pasta. The chicken tasted like it came out of a Tyson bag from Walmart complete with the sear marks. Didn't finish it and didn't take it home. The bill came and it was so lightly printed it was difficult to read/decipher. The saving grace was the hostess who was friendly and competent. I hope that this unfortunate situation was just a anomaly and that my experience does not repeat itself for others or the next time I stop in.
Drinks arrived well after finishing appetisers. Food was average for the price, and the service was indifferent.
One of our favorite restaurants in Durango, CO. We sat outside for my birthday dinner. Weather was nice, food was good. We tried new things (lamb chops and salmon) that were tasty, but the beef tenderloin and stuffed poblano is still my very favorite item on the menu.
We sat outside on the patio again on a warm summer night. All five dishes were delish! Several members of our party are regular Durango dining patrons and it was their first dining at Cyprus and they will definitely be back and will recommend it to others.
The food is consistently good here and it is organic and often local. The raspberry iced tea is fantastic, especially in the summer, and many afternoons they have live music. Highly recommended.
Always a treat! Food is always high quality and fresh.
Great service and ambiance- main dishes were incredible- the tenderloin and scallops!! App could have used more seasoning...but really great place and food!
Great summer luncheon
Small outdoor eatery. Eclectic menu and have to be in the mood for their items. As a foodie here is what we think: quaint outdoor and a few indoor seats. Wait staff very laid back and slow at first. Had a nice mix of Hummus, Tzadiki, feta, spanakopita with pita bread. The Tzadiki was legit and spot on. The Hummus needed a ‘something’ but it had no flavor. When you put slices of feta it is best to drizzle nice olive oil and either dried oregano or dill then cracked pepper. The tray was dry and yet, nice presentation. Had the falafel sandwich and was ok. Other person had salad and was fresh. Glad we had open-table reservations as there can be a line. Overheard wait staff arguing to one another how the kitchen was backed up again and tables are not getting food timely. Not good to hear. Glad we were there before the crush. Go early
We went to hear Gary Ruggera play the trump and had a very pleasant evening.
Food was excellent.
The place is amazing, great food and the best patio I have ever seen with music playing on stage. This would be a place I would come back to time after time. Can't wait to get back next summer:)
We had a fabulous dinner made even better because our dog was able to accompany us! Service was perfect. Our server was attentive and eager to accommodate us. There was live music the evening we were there...our experience was magical!
Great spot for a quiet evening. Beautiful place and great food.
Tableside music was nice. Waitress, Kate, was appropriately attentive. Superb outside dining.
We love the Cyprus patio and our recent experience didn't disappoint!
Food was amazing (even my husband remarked later!)...the atmosphere was perfect and the service was perfect (as a former server, I can be a tough critic!).
Great food, great service, great ambiance
Exceptional service and delicious food. The cod was outstanding.
Truly one of the best fish dishes I've ever had.
Great for lunch or dinner.
Waitress was so patient when we ordered a second glass of wine at 9pm...
This place is great and I need to qualify my statement on service. The wait-staff has always been friendly and very accommodating. The complicating feature is the kitchen. My food has always been excellent but, with the change in ownership, getting your meal out of the kitchen is S.L.O.W.!!!! If you're not in a hurry, Cyprus is an excellent choice. Most f my lunches are business related and I actually look forward to a little extra time to talk - same with outings with my wife. If you're in a hurry, the food is good but you might be a little tardy to your 1:00...
Always fresh & healthy ingredients. We are outside at lunch. Very comfortable & quiet.
Beautiful evening on the patio! Food a little slow coming out, but excellent lamb& salmon dishes. Tried the cornmeal crusted calamari- delicious!
Disappointing from beginning to end. It took over 30 minutes for the waitress to take our order and then it was another 40 minutes to receive our food. It was cold! Then we had to wait and wait and wait for our check.
Pork loin, a typical favorite was dry and the veggies were barely cooked. A disappointment for such a great restaurant.
