In the late 1800’s, Royal Street was home to a famous “curio” shop, a place where curiosities from all over the world could be had for a dollar or two. Today, the shop is no more, but the feeling of excitement and wonder still exists on Royal Street today. And so in the heart of the most premier art district in New Orleans, we’re bringing back the curiosity – reintroducing New Orleans to a circus of flavor so vibrant it makes other restaurants nearby pale in comparison.

Awful. My friend and I both ordered the crab claws and was really looking forward to them and they were rancid. The server took them away without a word. No apology. No offer to replace them or see if we wanted to get something else off the menu.

My crab cakes were mediocre too. None of us finished our food. Just ugh. With a city like this with so many places to eat, we never have to give this one a second chance.

We had such a good time at Curio restaurant, we went twice in 4 days of our visit in New Orleans, great food :) , our waitress Michelle was awesome, we got her on a both days, Great lady with a pure heart and customer service on level excellent :) Also Very helpfull with ordering as my Partner is Gluten free

Had this place for dinner one random day and decided to come back for brunch and I wasn't let down. The French Toast was so good. Shout out to the server for the recommendation. I also had the Red Wine Sangria, it's perfect if you like something that has a little kick to it. Eggs were okay, needed just a little more something. Subbed bacon for turkey (I thought it was turkey bacon) but it was actually great with the meal. Had grits (not pictured) it's a must order if you get brunch.

Nola has a wealth of great restaurants and I wouldn’t consider this one. Just a mediocre experience. Waiter got the order wrong but did work hard to rectify the error. The grilled shrimp caprese salad was good. I don’t recommend the fried fish and shrimp meal. Good drinks.

Food is excellent, especially Chilled Blue Crab Claws you must order! Wines are also very good. The staffs were very kind and friendly, and the atmosphere is very good. We want to come back when we visit New Orleans.

Perfect for brunch or lunch. The cuisine and service are terrific. Generally a quiet atmosphere which is nice after a late evening in the French Quarter. Bottomless Bloody Marys and mimosas are on the menu.
Tip: Request a table on the upstairs balcony.

The reservation did nothing for us. The hostess did not check the iPad at all and sat us at what was a very busy and crummy table. We had hoped for a nice table upstairs but it had seemed to be first come first serve

The fried green tomatoes were amazing and gave me high hopes but the blackened shrimp caprese was a very dull entree

Would go again but not at the top of my list

We were 3 adults and 2 small children looking for a reservable breakfast close to our hotel. This was a block and a half from our spot and had excellent service, tasty food, and great atmosphere.

We had the French toast (split between our two kids, which they were happy to accommodate), bottomless mimosas (never went empty), a Bloody Mary, the crab cake Benedict, and two of the southern breakfasts. The food was some of the best we had while in town. Our server Ashley was excellent, and he made sure our kids were happy, and consistently checked on us throughout the meal.

While we went in for breakfast, I can assume other meals would be equally delightful. We highly recommend.

Place was not at all like the pics and many reviews on OpenTable. Out of the grit tots as an appetizer…so we went ahead and ordered main courses…those came out very fast and before our drinks were even made….the food was kinda Applebee’s level which we’re not accustomed to in NOLA…so we skipped the drinks we ordered which were still in the queue. We decided not to get desert, paid up and were outta there in about 25 min…big let down, but much cheaper than normal without the drinks etc. Not for foodies and our experience was that the staff does not know what makes for a good meal.

We tried Curio for a quick dinner before the play and enjoyed it. The mixed drinks were strong. The service was very good. The crab cake appetizer had good flavor and a lot of filler. We split the "Taste of Louisiana" sampler plate. Really enjoyed the duck and black-eyed pea gumbo. The other dishes were a little bland for our taste. Would go back with more time to try some of the other dishes we watched come out of the kitchen, or to try the brunch dishes.

The food was excellent but the service was awful. I expect it was because of waitstaff being out wiht Covid but the wait time to even get a waitress to our table was 20+ minutes. It tooks us another hour to get our food (they served the appetizers with the main course). They sat us outside on the balcony, which no longer has an awning (likely caused by Hurricane Ida) so it was hot, the sun was beaming down and it was not pleasant. Maybe under different circumstances I would consider going back but not anytime soon.

I've eaten here several times before for Dinner and love the Turkey Cubano. This was my first time for Brunch and if you want a really good brunch, skip Curio. I had chicken and waffles and it was like the dish had been sitting for a while because it was cold (which I assume was our server's fault, nit the kitchen). Our server was off too. I've definitely had way better service here, but today it seemed as he was wandering around aimlessly and arbitrarily would come to check on the table. I will definitely be back....but I'll stick to dinner.

Plates varied in size, in some cases the serving size was smaller than expected. The food was tastey and they have really healthy green lettuce in side salads. The duck soup was delicious. Service was excellent. There were a few loud talking patrons but that's to be expected given the restaurants vicinity to Bourbon street.

I really wanted to like this place. The atmosphere upstairs was pleasant, not too crowded, and the server kept our bottomless mimosas filled. The crab claw appetizer came in a bed of greens and a salad dressing that had an overwhelming onion flavor. The crab claws could have stood on their own without that strong sauce. We got the crab cake eggs Benedict which said would be served on sourdough toast, but the bread was cold and soggy, not toasted at all. Texture is a big part of eggs Benedict, and the texture was not as it should have been. The crab cakes were not crispy on the outside, either, in fact they were pretty soft and flaccid. Thank God for the mimosas, and good atmosphere, but for $120 for 2 people for brunch, it was a pretty average meal.
