Great for brunch

In the late 1800’s, Royal Street was home to a famous “curio” shop, a place where curiosities from all over the world could be had for a dollar or two. Today, the shop is no more, but the feeling of excitement and wonder still exists on Royal Street today. And so in the heart of the most premier art district in New Orleans, we’re bringing back the curiosity – reintroducing New Orleans to a circus of flavor so vibrant it makes other restaurants nearby pale in comparison.

Curio New Orleans has quickly become one of my favorite spots in the city. During our recent visit, we enjoyed a fantastic brunch that included a delightful mix of dishes: the Eggs Pontchartrain, Chicken and Waffles, Chicken BLT, and White Cheddar Jalapeño Grits, all accompanied by bottomless mimosas. Each dish was incredibly delicious, showcasing the rich flavors and creativity of the menu. However, what truly made our experience unforgettable was the outstanding service provided by Kneshawn. From the moment we arrived, she took great care of us, ensuring we had everything we needed. Her recommendations were spot on, and her warm, attentive attitude elevated our entire dining experience. I would highly encourage anyone visiting Curio to request Kneshawn—you won't be disappointed! In a city known for its hospitality, Kneshawn's exceptional service stood out, making our brunch at Curio feel special and memorable. We'll definitely be returning soon.

Overall food was good. Grilled chicken caprese was a little soggy. Liked the grit tots. Brussels sprouts were really good. Service was excellent.

Overrated. I do not know how they have 4.3 stars. They are 2.5 stars at best. Servers are nice. Food is mediocre. We've been twice & very disappointed both times. We ordered redfish served on a bed of mustard greens. There were no greens. Literally a ladle of cream sauce with what looked like a few parsley flakes. We asked if the chef forgot the greens & were brought a small bowl of the sauce with more green flakes. I'm fine with ordering my sides Ala carte, but tell me that's what I need to do. $38 for a piece of fish which tasted ok, but had nothing else is absurd. Left after $130 bill & went to another restaurant for an appetizer because we were still hungry. Won't be back.

Overall we were relatively happy with our experience. The food was pretty good and they had a nice variety. They initially seated us in a room upstairs with only one other table. It was quiet and awkward until we asked to be moved outside where the vibes were much better! The service was pretty slow and we had to ask for basics like side plates for apps and glasses of water. At this price point I believe those things should be included without having to ask. But we enjoyed the food!

Had been there for lunch a few years ago and loved it…what a disappointment coming back this time for dinner. Food was ok, but nothing special, the service was poor and the ambiance lacking.

The food here was very good. Tate at the front door was amazing! However, the rest of the service here was terrible. The table right next to us received their appetizer and entrées before we were served any food. We were seated for 20 minutes when that table walked in. We sat upstairs, which was beautiful, but we heard our server in the back yelling obscenities, presumably either on the phone with someone or to a coworker. I am from New Orleans, so if you’re from out of town, there are much better choices a mere few steps from this place.
