Our server was a bit absent minded, but the manager (?) definitely made up for it. I ordered a drink while I was waiting for the other person on our reservation and 15 minutes later when he arrived, I still didn’t have my drink. The manager came over and took our drink orders again. A few seconds later, our server came over to take our drink order. I think she forgot I had already ordered a drink. The manager also took our food orders and made sure we had additional drinks when we had finished our first drinks. We laughed about our absent minded server and made sure to tip the manager. Overall, we had a good experience and will probably be back.

We live this restaurant! We go at least once a week and the food is always excellent. The service is also exceptional, especially Scott who is amazing. Cru is reportedly changing its menu to Italian and we can’t wait! Great place.

We went for brunch and there weren't many people there. the waiter recommended the crab and fillet Benedict. It took a long time to come out. When it did, the egg was poached hard, totally overcooked for a Benedict. I had to go find the waiter. They offered to cook the whole dish again of just the eggs we asked for the quickest option, which was the eggs. Again, took a long time. Eggs were perfect this time but everything else was cold and soggy. Awful experience for us. They didn't even offer to do anything to make it right

Honestly, we were lookimg for a new local spot and at least ruled this out. The place was extremely loud and even the waitress couldn't hear us. We decided we wanted to eat light so we ordered a 5 choice charcuterie and split a salad. So disappointed in the charcuterie for the price. And, we had to even ask what the 3 types of cheeses were. Presentation should have been done as they placed the food down, in my opinion. The salad was ok. We found that we were still hungry, so we ordered a steak sandwhich. The steak was choppy dried pieces of steak and the sandwich was tasteless. The bread to steak ratio was a joke. The bernaise saice, however was good.

First time there for Happy Hour. Loved the Caesar salad and the burrata. Thought the hummus needed some lemon or fresh pepper or something to pick the flavor up. Good drinks.

Excellent brunch choices! We had shrimp and grits and an omelette. Both were delicious. The omelette came with a croissant and sinful cinnamon butter. Our server, Scottie, was fabulous. He was friendly and had a great personality. Cru Cellars is a wonderful addition to the Marina District

A lot of the food was dry. We went for brunch. We had a cinnamon roll to share. It was dry and wasn’t warm. Got one of the Benedicts. It was on a rather dry biscuit. Truffle fries were good. We were told their dinner is good but we will not be going back for brunch.

It was a cute cafeteria feel place that was super loud. We opted to sit outside which was nice and breezy. Lots of people walking their dogs and locals chatting it up. We ordered the carbonara which should have been served with some bread since the sauce was really decadent. The tuna tartare we ordered as an appetizer and came out after my daughter’s pizza.

Wasn't impressed, with it being our first time there. Place was pretty empty, but it took forever to get our food, and it wasn't the greatest when we got it. Just was expecting something a bit different than what we were served. The burger was good but the rest subpar. I'm not sure if they were short staffed but the wait time was about 40 minutes to get our food. Appetizer came out pretty quickly though. All I all I probably won't go back unless I was in the area. Maybe this was just a bad day, but it didn't leave me wanting to come back there, and we live 45 minutes from the area.

It was my wife’s birthday but that didn’t get transmitted to or was dropped by the restaurant after indicating it on Open Table. Other than that, all went well. It was a Monday night and not terribly crowded. Service was prompt and food was tasty. The manager even helped find us a non-sulfite wine. One caution- if you go early, the sun is a bit harsh until it drops below the high rise condominium.

The hostesses were amazing! Unfortunately, our waitress did not realize she was assigned to our section, so it was quite a while before we even received water or acknowledgment of our presence. Someone from our group had to alert the hostess that we were seemingly forgotten about. The hostess did everything she could to make our experience right. There seems like there is a need for training with the waitress we were assigned. Our friends were completely new to Cru. No explanation of the menu, no suggestions, drink orders had to be reconfirmed and overall the timing of receiving drinks to food was very off. When charcuterie arrived it was simply placed on the table with out an explanation of the chefs selection. We loved everything we were served but service struggled.

Usually love the salads with added shrimp, but all three of us were very disappointed in our salads for this dinner, which was unfortunate since we brought a friend from out of town to show off one of our favorite places. They were all dry and shrimp smaller than usual.

Outside of the service and drinks 0/10 for me. My salmon was salty and undercooked and the steak was not seasoned at all and I’m pretty sure was still alive when served to me; even when I sent it back and asked for medium-well.

Pros- -new manager is great! -we live close by so it’s easy for us -friendly waitstaff and hostess Cons- -their house wine and happy wine is awful. You would think they would have fun/new rotating happy hour wines but nope. It’s the same awful 1 red wine since the day they opened. Even some of their waitstaff have commented that over customers have said the same thing. -the menu has not changed since the day they opened. Would be nice to throw in some specials so regulars have more options to choose from

Everything was wonderful! The only thing I was disappointed by was that our charcuterie was served on what looks like a normal dinner plate. rather than the nice wooden boards used at the other Cru location. Presentation/aesthetic was poor, just a bunch of cheeses thrown on a plate and our server didn’t tell us which cheeses were which like they do every time at the MacDill location. Otherwise, entrees, apps, and drinks were all great.

The food and drinks were great but we didn’t enjoy our seating. If we sat somewhere else I would probably give this location a 10/10 as everything tasted amazing and the cost was okay. But the 2 person seating booth along the wall of the wine cellar just isn’t ideal, especially if you are trying to have an intimate moment or discussion while on a date. It definitely felt like we were dining with strangers during our Valentine’s Day dinner. I would still go back but request another section.

Food was excellent. I ordered a margarita and it tasted like it was made with a mix. I did not like it. Our server was nice but not super attentive. Palma Ceia location is definitely better

Came based on recommendations from friends. Food was very good and excellent wine selection. However, on a Friday night, the noise level was deafening. We had three couples who had not seen each other in a while and anxious to catch up but the cacophony of sound prevented any of that. Without a soft edge in the entire place, the noise from the attached bar bounced off every hard surface. Would like to try it on a slow night.
