Birthday meal but they ignored the special occasion message even though I’d written a note. Don’t ask the question if you have no intention of doing anything. Food- tiny portions at inflated prices. Sides etc with the small portion. It was standard fair and nothing special. Wanted a gin and tonic but they had no lemons??? A pub with no lemons? Couldn’t offer us cheese and biscuits. Didn’t do it. Melting Camembert was available. We wanted cheddar. Poor for pub on the green at Richmond

Hi Sean, First of all I would like to apologise. It is really disappointing to hear that your experience was anything less than great, and your feedback will be taken on board. . Unfortunately we cannot offer anything off of the menu due to a very strict allergens policy hence why we could not offer a cheese board/Cheese and biscuits. It's a great pub, with great staff. Lovely food, decent selection of beer and super friendly staff. Plus a nice view of Richmond Green

It was busy but still we were served very quickly, food came very fast, it presented great. Service was fantastic. Dogs allowed so next coming with our furry friend :)

Great service as there were a few glitches with our lunches not being available or of poor quality so the manager sorted it all out with no issues

Specifically booked to try their Sunday Roast as saw positive reviews online. I had the beef roast while my partner decided to go for the fish and chips last minute. The roast was really disappointing. It didn't come hot, meat was hard to chew, roast potatoes had lost their crispiness, yorkshire pudding had no flavour at all, gravy was really runny and tasted watered down.. it all lacked seasoning unfortunately. Priced at £19 was really expecting more. Fish and chips were okay but nothing memorable but the mushy peas were not good (almost sauce consistency). The service was friendly but took a while to get their attention when we were ready to order. Overall I wouldn't recommend this place to go for food but it would be an alright place to meet up with friends for drinks.

Had a lovely lunch there over May bank holiday weekend. Great service, lovely food. Dogs very welcome with water bowl and treats, very nice touch.

I booked the cricketers for myself, my partner and my Nan for Sunday lunch. I am gluten and dairy intolerant, as well as pescetarian... which makes me a nightmare to cater for. I was impressed they had an allergen menu online and when we arrived the waitress let me know what I would be able to eat. I was unable to have the vegan roast because of the gluten in the wellington so asked if I could have the vegan roast with the sea bass from another main meal, after enquiring with the kitchen she confirmed this wouldn't be a problem. The food was delicious and the waitress didn't once make me feel like I was being a pain (although I know I am!). We had a great Sunday lunch in the sunshine.
