On a mission to share the beauty of Mexican culture through food, Chef Johnny Curiel opens Cozobi Fonda Fina as an encore to his beloved LoHi restaurant, Alma Fonda Fina. Named after Cozobi, the Zapotec god of corn, Cozobi Fonda Fina is rooted in Mexico’s centuries-old corn nixtamalization traditions and wood-fire cooking techniques that define its rich food history.

We sat outside at one of the two full size tables. Was perfect weather. Service was outstanding and food delightful. Was bummed they ran out of the coconut ceviche but we did fine. We had the sweet potato, scallops, tuna, and pork and fava bean tacos. All small plates that were shared. The fava bean taco reminded us of falafel and was our least favorite of the five / party because we were pretty full by then - it was our last item, and it is a hearty dish. Overall wonderful experience.

Outstanding experience and amazing food once again by Chris and the Team. Having been to their sister location as well, (Alma) I can tell you Cozobi is every bit as amazing. Caroline was our server and she was phenomenal. She answered all of our questions, was patient with our son’s questions (he’s 11) and offered amazing suggestions. Can’t recommend Cozobi or Alma enough.

This was one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time. From the service to atmosphere and most importantly flavorful and well seasoned plates accompanied by interesting cocktails, I highly recommend this spot!

Love that the kitchen is naturally gluten free, loved that there was a range of vegetarian and pescatarian dishes that satisfy. Staff work well together as a team. Most of all: The taste lives up to the hype! The sea bass entree was our favorite, the tostada small plates were great. If the only reservation you can get is early, lucky you, because items on the happy hour menu are Delicious.

Incredible meal. We had the sweet potato appetizer. And ahi tuna tostada and the carne asada for our meal. All of it was a 10/10. So happy to have this restaurant in Boulder! We will be back the next time we’re in town!

We love going to Cozobi Fonda Fina-the food is excellent. We've sat at the bar the last two times we've visited and the service has been great. We consider this one of our "go to" places in Boulder.
