   Service and food was impeccable. It was a birthday occasion and the staff at the restaurant and hotel went above and beyond what I ever expected.

   We always love having dinner at Council Oak. We were treated nicely and made us feel so welcome. We were there celebrating our 42nd wedding anniversary and were treated very special Justin our waiter went out if his way to make sure we were taken care of.

   Music can get a bit loud at times making it hard to hear the waiter and your partner at the table sitting next to you. Wait staff didn't understand how to add our comps and failed to give us the 1/2 off our Wine special. We didn't make a big deal about it and let it be. Food was great, but overall just not the best experience we've had there. Had better previously.

   I was very disappointed when the waitress came out telling us that they had run out of the Sunday Prime Rib special which we had specifically come in for to celebrate my husband's birthday. My friend had also called in with her credit card to surprise him with crab cakes from her on his birthday which never arrived. I therefore had to spend much more than I'd planned.

   Came here for my husband‘s birthday order the shrimp and grits had them take it back. The amount of salt was insane. The manager was very nice. Offered to make it with polenta after some time of waiting while everybody else finish their food. I tried it again same thing way over salted so I figured I would just probably eat the shrimp and leave the polenta, but the shrimp was overly salted as well. Completely ruined with the amount of salt quite disappointing the manager and staff were very nice, but the food was horrible.

   First steak was supposed to be light medium and was brought out well well. Didn’t have that steak for my next one they brought and it was almost overcooked also and didn’t taste very well. Tossed over 1/2 the food away. Server was great tho.

   Overall, nice experience. The atmosphere is clean and elegant and food is tasty. When you enter the restaurant, the hustle and smell of the casino disappears. Service is fairly friendly. My only complaint is that it was all very underwhelming. You are given these high prices for food that is not the best. The meat at our table was all overcooked (ex: well done when asked for medium rare) and service took forever. We waited almost an hour to receive dinner and around 25 minutes just to get our drinks back to us. I would come again, but this place probably would not be my first choice.

   Server Amanda and Eduardo provided excellent service with a smile! Hostess Kiki was positive and helpful . . . she gives the first impression you want to eat here! Manager Jose always walking around to check in on your dining experience! Food was exceptional! Prime Rib and Pork Chop along with Ahi tuna appetizer and chop salad delicious! Fresh warm rolls . . . and they have the best Blue Cheese dressing and carrot cake!

    Our servers name was Amanda and she was sweet, quick, kind, and super tentative! The ambiance was splendid, 5 pm dim lights, low soft music in the background, and a nice cold drink! My husband and I had a ribeye, and they were cooked perfectly! Nice sear on the outside, juicy and tender! Best steak in Nor Cal. And we keep trying to find one that compares…. So far nothing comes close!
