What Insiders Are Saying
Cosa Buona is a neighborhood pizza joint from the people behind Alimento. So, yeah, it’s pretty wonderful.
Great atmosphere and service. Not too impressed with the food. I had the chopped salad and it doesn't say that there is kale in it on the menu....a lot of kale. I hate kale and was extremely disappointed with it. There was barely anything healthy to eat on the menu (if at all), so my choices were very limited. It's not really an Italian restaurant if that's what they're going for. Fried chicken and fried potatoes are not Italian the last time I checked. So, needless to say, I won't be going there again. Staff was friendly though. Bummed I wasted $24 on a meal I didn't like at all.
Love it! Wish they has mixed drinks/cocktails. Xxoxoxoxoooxoxixixizixixixixixizi
Always fantastic and the staff are cool and friendly!
Come here quite often and is one of my favorite spots to go. Everything is Really good. Chicken parm sandwich, meatballs and pizza are all a must.
Top 3 restaurant in LA. Food is always excellent. Service best in la. Ambiance perfect.
A little too noisy, so-so food.
Won’t come back. Too many other great places
Cosa Buona received many recommendations yet upon eating there...the food fell short. We had pizza which was Pizza...nothing to blow your mind over. We also had clams as an appetizer...honestly coming from the East Coast...these tiny itty bitty things were more like barnacles than clams...they tasted ok but just over priced and stupid. Don't get me wrong I think the place is "OK" but seriously for three people beers from a can and pizza with an appetizer...$150 is a bit NUTS.
Delicious food, great service, solid wine list. My only complaint is that it was very loud and pretty difficult to hear the person on the other side of the table.
Fantastic pizza, legendary wings, perfectly executed dishes and friendly service. Cosa Buona is my favorite neighborhood spot. Pro Tip: eat some dank tacos across the street @flamin tacos if you have to wait for a table and are starving.
The broccolini.... I could eat that everyday, all day long!! Great pizza!!
Food was great. Service is well-intentioned but a little chaotic and disjointed.
Great food and service! Pizza was amazing
Food was great! service was exceptional
Very underwhelmed by this place. Won’t be returning. We were celebrating a birthday with nine people. Felt like we were in the way. Left as soon as we finished eating the so-so food.
Delicious delightful de-lovely meal, service and outstanding dining, quality all around!! Come here regularly and look forward to it every.Single.time!
Food is simply awesome--
Pizzas, eggplant parm, salads, meatballs--
Need to install window shades. I sat at a window table and the sun was beating down on me and it was too hot.
I'm not sure how you expect people to eat your artichoke. At first I thought it was cooked to the point where the leaves might be edible, which wasn't the case. Since it was too oily to eat with one's hands, I tried with a fork, which meant forking the pieces into my mouth, trying to eat the "meat" around the heart, and spitting the rest out—I gave up after a few attempts of this.
Never need to go to Mozza again! And Food is equal or better to Scopa in Venice.
I am sorry to say that I felt the crust should have been better. Maybe a hotter oven(?) because it was neither flavorful nor very crisp. The toppings were delicious and the salad was good. However our key lime pie was not fully chilled and partially melting.
Some of the side dishes looked great that were passing by and I think that is what I would have if I was ever there again. *The meatballs looked amazing!
That being said, the reception, our server, the staff were so nice and lovely. And the space is good.
I hate to not give it 5-stars but after knowing what Alimento puts out, I feel like this could be better m
This was our third or fourth meal here and it gets better every time? The staff is helpful, friendly and funny. The food tastes way better than the short time it takes to be prepared would indicate. The wine is so delicious and fun. I am pretty new to knowing wine (I don't know it really) but it is easy to learn and find something you will enjoy here.
been there 15 times
consistent and innovative
comfortable in its own skin
skilled intelligent nice people
Solid food as always! We try new things every time and nothing ever disappoints. It’s loud and clangy but that’s okay when the food is this good!
Great experience! Really enjoyed myself. I was on a date and we both had a great time!
Very cute little pizza place with delicious food, a small but interesting wine list with options for those who have "creative palates", and in a fun neighborhood with wine bars, music venues, etc.
Definitely the best pepperoni pizza I’ve ever had and certainly right up there with the best Osteria-level Italian restaurants I’ve been to, including the best osterias in Italy!
I thought the food was great, but use a few more options of fresh appetizers or a couple of pasta dishes.
Red wine shouldn't be served cold. It's usually done when the wine has been open for too long. But it was good enough. And I woke up the next morning with a sore throat the next morning because I was screaming/talking to my friend all night so that we could hear each other. But generally, really liked the food that we got and everyone was really nice and attentive.
Fantastic pizzas and side dishes. Excellent service from Cesar and his team. This is a neighbor gem.
Incredible! Every dish was just the best!
Very attentive service staff and excellent food.
Always amazing. One of our favorites.
Went here for the pizzas with my family and was not disappointed! Loved it!
Excellent food, great service, can't wait to go back!
LIMITED MENU, PIZZAs THE STAR. Up there with MOZZA & MULBERRY STREET PIES.OTHER DISHES ARCANE AND,WHILE TASTY WERE SMALL.. ? OFFER A FEW OVEN BAKED PASTA DISHES.or a calzone OR ROASTED VEGIES, NOT JUST AN IMMOLATED ACRID ARTICHOKE W INSUFFICIENT LABNE SAUCE. No drink natural sweeteners for diabetics. Honey is just SUGAR. DUH. 3 baby octopi do not an appetizer make. Lasagna, Shells, penne rigate, etc ,both vegan and another classic w bolognese sauce,+/- cheese? could be made, and quickly baked in oven, . Roasted mushrooms, etc. ?Aranchini w the delicious sauce. Was quite underwhelmed after reading all the glowing reviews from several sources. Best thing other than pizza was the friendly, courteous manager Ceasar(sp)... one server had a constant barely tolerant attitude, almost like disdain for diners. fried smirks not on the menu! May not be back. meh
Impeccable as always. Food is the BEST. Service is the BEST. Hands down our favorite.
One of the best casual dining for locals and friends people.
Food is excellent, service excellent. Friendly environment. Great dining experience for son's 18th b-day!
The food was great! Staff was very attentive and explained the wines that are offered. I asked for a white wine similar to Pinot Grigio and was able to taste two different white wines. I had a reservation and arrived 30 minutes early as you never know with L.A. traffic. We were seating right away and had amazing food and amazing service. I hope the attentiveness remains as I plan to go back soon.
fav write neighborhood place...meatballs and burrata, ceasar, brocollini, pizzas. service impeccable.
Beautiful dishes delicious food
