Food and cocktails were excellent. Service was good considering they were short handed and busy. All staff was very friendly.
While it was chilly outside and the staff was busy due to it being a holiday, that did not take away from our excellent experience! The staff took good care of us, the ambiance was lovely, and the food and drinks were fantastic. Can't wait to go again for another date night!
We were disappointed. It is difficult to find a nice place to eat with a traditional Christmas "feast" and were delighted to see that the Corner Bar was offering a traditional meal. The food was adequate.
Corner Bar has done a nice job adapting to the current challenging COVID & dining situation. We sat outside for our glass of wine & they had quite a few heaters set out. We also were dressed for cold weather & used blankets that were in the car and it ended up being comfortable. Come prepared if it's a cold out & you'll have a nice time. Service was great, super friendly & moved over an extra heater for us.
We did Thanksgiving here and by 4pm they had 75% of the menu sold out so instead of having a great holiday meal while on vacation we had drinks and some soup with a burger. Not at all what I had hoped for. Their excuse was they did not really manage their reservations and pick up orders well. Maybe during a normal day this place would be good but for me I would not go again. The service and manager did try to make this as good a experience as they could.
Fun spot in a cool hotel. I'm sure this place hops outside of a pandemic.
The Corner Bar has recently updated its menu to feature fall/winter flavors. Everything we ordered was delicious! We really enjoyed classic favorites, while trying new seasonal additions.
A fun dining experience. Service was excellent. Food choices quite limited. What my friend and I each had was very good. Cost was reasonable. A cool, windy day outside, so that took away a bit from the overall experience. Enjoyed it though and would come back.
Our favorite place to visit when in Boulder. Great food, perfect location.
They still have happy hour and the fries are so good!
Great happy hour when a lot of restaurants don't have happy hours.
Fun outside experience with good food
Service was great. Beer was nice and cold. We had Brussels sprouts and wings as an appetizer and they were delicious.
Wonderful place to have a drink and apps or a delicious meal. Service was exceptional and staff very attentive and kind.
Excellent service, great location, good outdoor seating.
This is a great place, but the salad greens were limp and sad. When your entree is a salad, that's a problem. It was a Monday lunchtime, but I'd guess that the greens were probably last in good shape on Saturday. My companion's fries were basically room temperature, even though there were only two parties seated outside. The waitstaff were great, drinks were cold, and everything seemed clean and COVID safe.
I hope this was just an off day because this is a great location I've enjoyed before.
felt safe to meet up with a couple of friends for lunch on the patio. We are all ready to be out and Corner Bar allowed an outdoor setting with enough space from others to be able to relax a little and enjoy good salads and attentive service. Covid precautions in place.
Gluten free calamari! Great ceviche. Nice sandwiches. An affordable Boulderado experience.
Kevin was an exceptional server
Had a great first date there, food and staff were awesome.
To whoever curated the music... that music for the 4 pm seating was NOT conducive to eating and enjoying loved ones... it felt like Walmart. The music did NOT match the food and service level and truly detracted from the experience. You ought to invest in a live jazz trio for the buffet.
I have been coming for the Christmas Buffet for the last several years ; however I, this year it did not meet my expectations and will make other plans next Christmas. I felt that the buffet was overpriced for the fare served.
The hotel is lovely, and I would recommend staying there or having a cocktail there- but the holiday tea is not worth it. The food was lackluster, and didn’t taste fresh. There was copious amounts cinnamon sugar on a tomato ricotta scone, which was odd. The service was good.
The holiday tea was extremely short staffed. We waited well over 10 minutes before we sought out someone to greet us, and even then it took a while. Once seated, it was another 10-12 minutes before a server came to greet us, and for all of this, 20% gratuity was included. The gluten free option was two pieces of white bread cut in half with some egg salad and chicken salad, plus 2 chocolate covered strawberries and one small scone—for $35. Absolutely not worth it, and while the decor was beautiful and the decorations were warm, I left feeling disappointed.
The food was terrible. More fruit would have been good
A wonderful Christmas Buffet that was the highlight of Our Christmas Celebration at the Hotel Boulderado.
Pretty setting but the holiday decorations are getting a bit stale. So were the store bought, boxed cookies served with Christmas Tea! Waiter didn’t pour our tea. No tongs or small spoon in sugar cubes.
The Boulderado Holiday Teas are fantastic, very romantic, and classic. We will probably make it an annual tradition, after having moved back to Colorado this year. -- Steve & Beth Lemanski
Fabulous holiday tea‼️Great food, tea, service, entertainment & ambiance with the very large holiday tree‼️
Nutcracker Christmas Tea wonderful memories with granddaughters and the start of a new tradition!
I love high tea at the Boulderado. It’s my favorite holiday event!
We were disappointed in this year's tea. Service was very slow (I had to send my pot of tea back because it was cold), and the food was merely adequate. The setting was gorgeous, as always, and the entertainment was delightful.

This review is for the special Thanksgiving Buffet dinner held in the conference area of the hotel. We were one of the last seatings of the day and were in the smaller of two rooms. It was a pleasant setting, the hotel itself was festive, the conference area/buffet was well laid out and the table settings and decor were nice. There was a live guitar player that added to the ambiance and we enjoyed his playing. The buffet itself was nicely organized and the addition and use of ice sculptures to decorate the buffet and serve shrimp and crab claws was really nifty.
The food was fine. There were several selections for the main protein and the beef tenderloin was very good. The side dishes were copious, however I would have liked a few more green vegetable options.
All in all it was a nice option to have in a year when I was not able to cook for myself.
Thanksgiving was served in the Conference Center - no atmosphere. The buffet was very tired. The service was indifferent at best. Really disappointing.
We had Thanksgiving brunch with friends at Boulderado. We had come for three years in a row and this year noticed a difference in food and number of people attending. This time around we weren't impressed with the food; It was good but nothing outstanding. I remember the first year, the menu was much better and they had a variety of dishes and desserts. We felt this time around was very limitted. We also noticed the crowd was much smaller. We were thinking to spend New Years Eve at the hotel this year as well but the only option is the Gran Gala for $230 per person and looking at the menu, it does not seems to be very different from what we got at Thanksgiving so definitely I wouldn't pay that kind of money on New Years Eve.
I went to the Thanksgiving buffet and was disgusted by the whole thing. The options on the buffet were very limited. Nothing that you couldn't get at a homeless shelter on Thanksgiving and the service was terrible too. Our waiter, who I thought was a bit cocky, asked if we would be ordering more drinks during the meal after we had given our first drinks order. We weren't so sure at that point and replied probably not. He responded by bringing us the check with our drink order. So within five minutes of arriving before we had even visited the buffet our check was on the table which totally ruined the ambiance and made us feel rushed, and of course nobody knows how many drinks they will want at the beginning of a holiday meal and people did change their minds during the meal but decided it wasn't worth the hassle. I asked someone there why we were given our check so early and they said it was a policy to give the check at the beginning of the meal if people thought that they might not order more so our waiter would know not to approach our table! That is the sort of service I would expect in a fast food place not a special event that costs nearly $90 a head by the time you throw in service fees and tax, and they were far from being short staffed too.
I went to the Boulderado Christmas buffet. The food was excellent, the staff was great, very friendly and helpful. The tables had beautiful flowers and the ice sculpture was beautiful. All around great.
I've been to the Christmas tea and the food is usually good (not great). But this was terrible. Desserts and tea were ok. But the rest were truly awful. Dried cold grilled cheeses. Bread and ham on other sandwiches dried and almost unsafe looking. Deviled eggs that looked like they had been out forever. Hot dogs wrapped in puff pastry which were worse than what you can get at the grocery store freezer section - but were the only thing my kid liked...course they were the only edible thing so they promptly ran out and my kid had only one little two inch piece - no more available. $67 for this. I expected much more from the Boulderado. McDonalds and Chuck E Cheese would have been better food...
For the cost of the Halloween tea event , 15 minutes for tea to arrive and then having a buffet and not have it at your table was disappointing. Food was not that good given the price. Will not recommend or return.
