We've dined at Concourse several times and typically ordered the same menu items. This time, we decided to venture outside of our normal meal choices. We had the brown butter cauliflower, mussels, and lobster gnocchi. The flavors really popped from each dish and both my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We'll definitely visit again soon!
Overall a good dining experience, good service and ambiance. The food was good, nothing special.
We were one of only three couples at this restaraunt when we ate here, we came at 1730. Our server took quite a while to come over and get our order. After getting our drink order the waitress came back 10 minutes later and asked me what the name of the beer I ordered was... Seemed strange. We also had another waitress that would come and get our order right after someone else did the same thing. It was like they didn’t communicate who had our table. The same thing happened with our check. One woman said she would bring us the check and the other cane and grabbed our credit card and said that she would take care of it. Odd. Overall the food was delicious so no complaints there. We enjoyed our appetizer, drinks and meal but had a tough time seeing any good quality of service at this restaurant. They mentioned that this place will be closed soon for renovations for 6 weeks to convert this place into Asian cuisine instead of American. So maybe we will wait and try it again after that.
Very decent menu and service. Great location and ambiance for brunch.
We were excited to go out for date night, as it had been a long time since we had been able to. I had been to this restaurant before, but only for brunch, and was excited to try it out for dinner. The food was very good and the roasted cauliflower was incredible. But the service itself was incredibly slow. I had asked for the cauliflower to come out with my side salad, as that was my dinner. It came out on its own after our cheese plate had been cleared. It was another 25 minutes after that when I finally asked the hostess (who appeared to be working several positions and was often not at the door for long periods) to please check the rest of our food. It came a little bit later, with no one acknowledging how long it had taken. An apology can go a long way! That was also when the server finally asked if we wanted another round of drinks. My husband had finished his beer at least 20 minutes before that. The server just kept walking past the table like everything was fine. And it was strange that the service was so slow as the restaurant itself was very slow, with maybe 3 other tables there when we finally got our dinner. I would have asked for a manager, but that makes my husband uncomfortable and so I chose not to not say anything. And unfortunately, he tipped the server well, because he always feels obligated to, but I was upset that he gave her a gratuity she clearly did not earn. Overall, no matter how good the food is, the service is why we won't come back. Very disappointing.
I’m not sure if this is a newly opened restaurant but either they don’t have enough staff or poorly trained:. It took what seemed like forever but was about 20-30 minutes after we got our drinks that we saw our waitress and were able to order. Then, it also took a long time for us to get our food because kitchen was backed up according to waitress:
Significant deterioration in service since last time we were there. Took 45 minutes from ordering to serving cauliflower appetizer (which we love). After 25 minutes we asked waitperson about it, she blamed herself for an error in the order, and it took another 20 minutes. Main course not as delayed but 30 minutes after appetizer finished is still long.
Two out of three dinners were good. The chicken parmesan should not have been served. It was overcooked to the point of being burned on the edges and was basically tasteless.
The cheese plate was perfect, but the rest of the meal was not. The salmon was overdone and the carbonara was not good.
I had been to Concourse previously with less than stellar results. You can reference my earlier review for details; however, on this occasion everything was quite spectacular. They told me they would make it up to us and they certainly delivered. They accommodated the previous event menu upon our return and we were not disappointed. The service was great as were the food and drinks. It’s nice that they offer such a fine dining experience without having to go downtown.
our cauliflower appetizer was a hit for our multi generation gathering. My mother in law loved the filet. We enjoyed the round booth toward the back, service was great.
I had made reservations for 7 people, and noted that we were celebrating birthdays (son and grandson). We showed up with presents. No mention was ever made by any of the staff that we were celebrating birthdays. We were shown to our table, which was only prepared for 6. We had to ask twice for an additional place setting. We had to request water and coffee refills. All in all, disappointing and not the special occasion we were hoping for.
Absolutely fabulous place. I will definitely return.
Service was a wee slow but other than that a good restaurant.
Good spot, had some good options on the menu, didn’t feel like the menu meshed with the vibe of the place. Food was good, we were there for brunch and would recommend if looking for a brunch option.
Great food and outstanding service
First time to visit tis plac. All three of us ordered different plates and shared them. All were excellent and even had leftovers to take home and enjoy. /Really nice food especially the ham.
Concourse is one of our favorite restaurants to bring out of town guest. Made a quick reservation on open table app. The hostess was very personable. Wait staff very attentive and informative about the different menu options. We love the fact that you are able to satisfy everyone palate and dietary choices . My favorite this last visit was the the tomato/cucumber gazpacho so light and refreshing. The cheese and meat platter was phenomenal. Just a great over all vibe about this restaurant, it never disappoints!
Good food and ambience, they really need more staff.
The king crab pasta is amazing, and the roasted cauliflower is too.
The service at the bar was kind, but slow. Oysters were good cauliflower was yummy.
Five of us had a wonderful evening last Sunday at the Concourse. We will look forward to returning and will recommend it to family and friends. It is a beautiful space, and the service was friendly, thoughtful, and helpful. The menu is so interesting--- we all agreed that we'd like to order many things! The food itself was good to very good. Concourse is a keeper.
We love Concourse and try to eat here every time we come to Denver
Fantastic design. Great menu. Business lunch perfect! Service was great. Looking forward to returning. Highly recommended!
The slightly smoky wagyu and potato chip appetizer, and the hamachi appetizer were DELICIOUS. The beet salad with sorbet was whimsical and delicious- the sorbet was a wonderful, tasty surprise. The chicken parm was delicious, and great value - enough for three or four people! Carbonara pasta was creamy and seductive and so yummy but not traditional. Can't wait to come back.
Great in that it has both vegetarian options, as well as non-vegetarian. Fresh food, amazing desserts
Food was decent and fairly priced. Our server was very nice, but not that attentive. She only came by about every 20 to 30 minutes and forgot our second round of drink orders. It wasn't busy at all in the restaurant either. Overall good food though and the restaurant has a great interior.
Food was delicious as always
The cod fritters were this sort of sticky paste, the bread was just ok. I had the crab gnocchi. Average amount of crab, strange, small slippery gnocchi in a gelatinous lemon sauce. Nice space, good service.
Carbonara not great but Bolognese made up for it. We really enjoyed the restaurant overall and recommend it.
Typically we have excellent food and ambiance . This evening the kitchen was banging on something so loudly for several minutes that our kids joked “that’s how you make the gazpacho.” We ordered 2 plates of bolognese and about 1/2 way through one of the dishes we found a long hair in it. Really disappointed since we travel from Monument, CO just did this restaurant
I always feel comfortable at Concourse, the place has a great warmth and delicious food with a wonderful staff.
Great Father’s Day dinner. Amazing food and service and they were great with our two young kiddos
Gorgeous decor, wonderful food and attentive service! And the place was half full on a Friday night...hard to believe for how delicious it is. We had burrata, grilled salmon and the carbonara. All were some of the best of each dish we’ve ever had. Go here now!!
First time here and it was a great experience! All 'round. Vanessa was great; food was yummy. Good feel. Will definitely be back!
the food was fine, but just lacking a bit in taste and execution for what we expected
We had a good dinner with my niece and her family before she moves out of Denver. It’s a nice place and the food and service were good. It is worth a return visit.
Several of us had the Vegan Prix Fixe offering as part of Vegan Restaurant week. It was very good except the carrots in the appetizer were very under-cooked making them difficult to eat and nearly impossible to cut; I splattered sauce all over myself trying to do so. Our other friend ordered the Caesar Salad and was brought a Greek Salad instead & she didn't mention it since it looked & tasted really good. She also ordered a pasta dish and said it was really good. I would go back for another dining occasion in that area.
