About Comida at the Source
What started as a food truck roaming the streets of Denver and Boulder has grown into the vibrant eatery Comida Cantina, dishing out modern Mexican food with flair. Inventive starters include the salty roasted jalapenos and the "not yo' nachos," loaded with black beans, avocado and a blend of cotija, smoked gouda and asadero cheeses. Popular entrées include the cheesy sombra shroom quesadilla, the grilled skirt steak arrachera torta sandwich, the bacon and jalapeno griddled tacos and the spicy shrimp Mexi mess bowl. Comida Cantina's mouthwatering fare is perfectly complemented by one of its signature on-the-rocks margaritas. Try the pineapple-habanero margarita for a sweet and spicy treat.
Comida Cantina is all about bringing the fresh flavors of Mexican cuisine to the masses, quickly and with heaping doses of imagination and passion.

Comida at the Source Ratings and Reviews
This place is amazing! The restaurant has a nice vibe and very cool place to eat and talk. The food was very delicious, fresh, and healthy; the fact that all the ingredients were fresh and everything is made from scratch makes the food taste amazingly good compared to a lot of restaurants. You are getting more for your buck eating here, I highly recommend it!
We had a great time, it’s nice to be able to try a bunch of different things. We had quite a variety of items and they were all really good. Drinks are well made and sufficiently strong. The pineapple habenro marg is hot! We had great service, well timed and not at all intrusive, he made great recommendations and helped us navigate through choices for food and drink. Food and drinks for 6 people was incredibly reasonably priced. I would absolutely recommend for a evening dinner with friends or family.
I knew it was a casual street taco place - but I found the chips and salsa for a group of 7 to be paltry. We had to ask to refill them. The salsa was more of a tomato paste/sauce combo and not my favorite. Guacamole was excellent however. The tacos were a good value but my first fish taco was served at room temp and soggy, where the second one was perfectly warmed. The atmosphere is fun and lively.
Comida is excellent. The food is authentic Mexican including the horchata. We had an assortment of tacos and all were great. Even our wussy no hot sauce eater liked the tacos. The pineapple salsa was great, a refreshing combination. The selection of salsas was unique.
Service was laid back and attentive. Overall, highly recommended.
The source is really cool but the restaurant itself was just so so to me. The tacos were just ok, I've have much much better for cheaper. Drinks were pretty to look at and tasted good but were not very strong. If you're going more for ambiance and setting, definitely worth a try, but I wouldn't go here just for the food by any means.
I had been wanting to come here since you opened -- we cancelled a reservation once because of snow, but came on another snow day. Colorado spring - what can you do? Anyway, loved the food. I had the posole which was green instead of the red I'd had before. Very tasty! I also had the roasted vegetable salad which was tremendous. Hubby, concerned about getting full, ordered the nachos and ended up sharing with my son because it was such a large portion. My teenage kids ordered the tortas and had no complaints.
Our waitress was really nice. However, she messed up our order. So when she left and assigned us a new server, he wasn't aware and we were charged for things that were either messed up or not brought. When we told him, he didn't really know how to help because he wasn't our waiter in the beginning and didn't really know what was going on.
The food was good, environment was pretty cool. Service a little subpar.
The ambiance of the source is great anyway and Comida s a great fit in a terrific atmosphere. The menu was interesting and different. There were 5 people in our party and we ordered a variety of appetizers and entrees. There wasn't a bad option and we thoroughly enjoyed every morsel. The service was excellent and I would certainly go back for seconds :)!
Have been to Comida many times and love the food. Unfortunately this time the service was horrendous. We must have been at an unassigned table. It was busy, but no excuse for lack of attention from the staff. Had to ask several times to get additional drinks and food. Totally ruined the dining experience. We had brought a friend who had never been and its doubtful they will return - too many good places in Denver to go. I hope this is not a trend.
Went to Comida at the Source with some friends and had a great time. The main seating for the restaurant spills out into the open warehouse space so definitely a lively experience. The food was excellent and lots of innovative taco options as well as a great cocktail / margarita menu. It was fun going to the Source since there are a few bars and shops you can check out while you're there.
We had a great time at Comida. We started with a salsa sampler and guacamole. Loved it. We had the blue marlin ceviche. Loved it. Bacon jalepeno griddled tacos, pork carnitas tacos, etc. Loved it. Great food, good service, good drinks. I would recommend checking this place out.
