Permanently Closed - Comida at the Source
“I love Comida and am excited to continue to put my energy and efforts into our location in The Stanley and our catering taco truck, Tina. It’s a bittersweet decision to close our location inside The Source. We’re so grateful for the opportunity it presented and to the supporters and regulars who we’ve enjoyed serving there over the past 5 and a half years. We’re happy to be able to offer our loyal team positions at our Stanley location so we can keep our Comida family together.”
On the last day of service at Comida at The Source, we will close the doors early to host a “thank you” family dinner for her staff. Folks looking to fulfill their Comida fix will find their favorites at the restaurant’s other brick and mortar outpost at the Stanley Marketplace location (2501 Dallas Street), as well as at Tina, the Comi
Saturday and Sunday brunch specials during lunch hours!
Small portions so you don't feel stuffed when you leave. Unique combination of ingredients. Very tasty.
Good morning Pammy. Thank you for your succinct and wonderful review. It describes exactly what we want to convey to our guests. I'm happy you picked up on it. With Honor, Dameda Finney General Manager, Comida at The Source
Super friendly staff that accommodated a table of 6 effortlessly and the food was outstanding.. best nachos in town!
Good morning Amanda! Thank you so much for your stellar review. I'm happy we were able to accommodate you on such a crazy, beautiful Friday. And yes! I would agree with you. Our nachos are the real deal! Hope to see you again soon! With Honor, Dameda Finney General Manager, Comida at The Source
Our service was great and the food was good. I was expecting to be a bit more impressed with the food than I was but it wasn't bad. Also, we ordered a bar/pitcher of margaritas and didn't even catch a buzz for $35 that was a waste and I haven't had booze in 12 weeks and that is ALL i have wanted. Kind of a bust.
Disappointed in the food and the ambiance is almost like an airport- not the most fun atmosphere. For the price, there are much better options nearby
Maybe it was just an off night. Hopefully it was.
We hadn't been to Comida at The Source in Denver for several years. Loved to food truck from the beginning and their spot in Longmont. And had some great experiences at Comida in Denver when it was just starting out.
Service was solid and we really love The Source, but the food was sloppy, literally. We had six different specialty tacos at our table and only the shrimp was good. The others were soggy, oversaturated with marinade and salt, and slathered with whatever salsa or jam came with each.
The tortillas dissolved and fell apart from the excess juice.
My wife asked for replacement tortillas, and we didn't note until paying that we were charged for them.
Our out of town guests couldn't believe this was a place we had built up as so tasty.
At least the mezcal and cervesas were good.
Hello Mark B. Thank you for telling us of your experience, as it is helpful to know what we can improve upon. I love what we do at Comida, but I understand the frustrations around loving something and raving about it to your friends - only to be disappointed. I would agree that it was an off night, however, your experience is yours and I apologize that it was so poor. I hope you return and if you do, please ask for me. With Honor, Dameda Finney General Manager, Comida at The Source
The owner and manager were both there and they were both so lovely to chat with! The service and food were excellent and I will definitely be going back!
We had a group of nine and were told they didn’t serve family style, but then all the food showed up randomly over the next 30 minutes.
The carrot beet taco, salsas, and chips and guacamole were super yummy but the coconut cake was awful. It tasted like it had been sitting out for days it was so dry. I would go back again and recommend, but sit at the bar and stick to the basics.
Good food and we had a great server!
Hello Caligirl! Thank you for taking the time to share your experience! We at COMIDA take great pride in what we do, so I'm very happy to hear it was reflected in your experience. Please introduce yourself the next time you're in. I would love to thank you in person. With Honor, Dameda Finney General Manager, Comida at The Source
Great place for unique tacos
Comida was pretty busy when we arrived, so we sat for awhile before getting any service. However, staff was very friendly and apologetic. Salsa trio and guacamole were great, as were our tacos-shrimp, beet, and poblano. However, our Comida Margarita seemed pretty weak and the glass was filled with ice and very little beverage.
I've enjoyed Comida food at all of their locations, and their food truck too! The Situation tacos are my favorite, but the mushrooms and the chicken are also wonderful flavor. I'll have to try a torta next time I visit. The chilaquiles on the brunch menu looked delicious.
Good place with great service. Food was lacking but still yummy. Not enough textural different in the items. For instance , the tacos I had didn’t have any crunch sorta all the same mushy ness. They were drizzled with sour cream and salsa verde. That took away from my fav part - the toritilla. Would still go back but I’d keep it to drinks (amazing) and chips and guac.
Great! Nice meal!
Great food, super friendly and accommodating service.
A nice piece of the complex at The Source in RINO.
I love Comida. The service is always great and the food is awesome! We have been here for lunch and dinner and it is always a good time. The staff is super friendly and accommodating and the food is fun and delicious making it a good place for dates, friends, or family :)
We had a 7:45pm reservation on a Saturday night. The hostess knew it was me before I even said anything, so I assumed we were the last reservation on the books. They sat us upstairs and service started off fine. Until our entrees arrived before our guacamole appetizer. How long does it take to get us an order of guac? The tacos were decent, although I no longer trust a server's explanation of a dish's spice level. We also waited a long time to get our check and the server didn't come back to pick up our credit card. Just to get out of there, we paid in cash.
Good foodx good service. Vegetarian bowl was excellent.
Tacos, soggy. Drinks were great, but tiny for price. Coconut cake was a disaster: driest slab of cake I have ever eaten. Waiter placed last in recent Mr Personality contest.
Use to love u, Comida. Have to cut u loose tho.
While the menu descriptions sound yummy, I found the food to be blah. The pineapple margarita had so much pulp in it, it was almost difficult to drink.
Food did not come out together—about 20-30 minutes between the first meal was delivered and the last, even after inquiries. We were repeatedly told the food would come out when it was ready, which wasn’t a terribly satisfying response, but ultimately they decided one person’s meal had been misplaced. To make up for it, the restaurant was not going to charge for that meal but it was still on the ticket when it came and we had to ask for it to be taken off. We had a group of ten people (so not small), but the restaurant was fairly empty and It still took two hours from start to finish before the check was paid and we could go. I’m not convinced that management understood that it was not a good experience for any of us or why it was a problem that it took so long before everyone had their meals. As far as I know, everyone in our group was polite about the issue and we were given a light apology, but it didn’t feel they were really aware that they had badly missed the mark. I’m not excited about apologizing to my guests on behalf of a restaurant that I had selected, especially when I felt I was apologizing more than the restaurant.
The special taco was overly salty and not spicy enough - it was also cold
Wonderful night out. Terrific food. Terrific location. The Source is an incredible place to spend an evening.
The Spicy Watermelon 🍉 🌶 is fantastic! Love this place.
The food did not come out all at once. There was a 10 minute delay from the first to the second and another 10 for the final. Some of our group was eating and others were just watching.
La Comida at the Source is a good place for food as well as the ambiance of folks enjoying the Source and La Comida. Our server was very attentive and helpful.
So great. Got seated quick on the awesome patio. Ordered chips & guac as an app. I ordered the pineapple habanero marg and it was one of the best I’ve had! 2 people in our party got the bowls with chicken and I got tacos. All were excellent! Service was great too.
Had a great meal at Comida! The watermelon margarita was delicious and well worth returning for that alone. Loved the griddled tacos — flavorful, really great. Service was excellent — we didn’t have to wait for anything we needed and great recommendations from our server.
Food was good but the service was poor.
Food was good - the tacos were a little "saucy" - but tastes were vibrant and fresh. Overall would go back for casual, dinner fare, snacks. Drinks were very good! Although would say if going back to The Source, Acorn is far better overall for dinner.
Great food, service, and overall experience. Must do.
The food is never what you expect but always full of flavor and fun to eat.
We had dinner for Mother's Day. Everything comes family style but pricing is per taco. The mashes inside the taco are delicious.
Food was okay but the ambiance and service is great. Good portions, just not excellent food.
Like always food was great at the drinks too
Great food and cocktails!
The food was ok but overpriced, and our server was kinda rude and dismissive. It was pretty confusing because we were extremely nice to him, but he just seemed annoyed to be serving us. We're all servers so we get it, but come on bro...no need to spread bad vibes.
The food and drinks were delicious. The chips and guacamole are a must!
