C.O.D Seafood & Raw bar:
Located on West 3rd Street near the Beverly Center, C.O.D is a modern seafood brasserie offering Asian-inspired Californian cuisine. Influenced by both the great fishing villages of China and our own Californian coast, C.O.D crafts the best of these worlds together on a plate. C.O.D also features two full-sized bars, an extensive wine collection and hand-crafted cocktails.
C.O.D stands for “Catch of the Day” and describes our restaurant’s dedication to serving only the freshest and highest quality ingredients available on the market. Our fish is never frozen. Seafood is the focus at C.O.D, but everything else―from the microgreens to pork belly―is also presented at the peak of freshness.

shaved truffle, green nori linguini, creamy uni sauce, fish roe
Awesome food and the music was on point!
Jonathan and the rest of the team were amazing. Food was also good. My wife and I will be going there again.
It was awesome.
We had birthdays for our group and they were so excellent helping accommodate. Been here multiple times and been super happy with food and service each time.
Excellent food and service! Music playing too loud for us. The orange shrimp was so tasty. Loved the sauce! We will definitely come back here the next time we are in LA!
good food and service, it was a little strange overall
45 minutes without order being taken. Service was horrible.
The food was amazing! Definitely coming back!
Nice set up outside on the level over the street. Everything was good.
Great food and great service. We will def come back again. The hamichi was my favorite.
I love COD because they have something for everyone— I love seafood but my friends are very picky, making COD a perfect choice. Their house fries are incredible and I would argue their sushi deluxe is better than the comparable box at Sugarfish.
Great evening with great food!
The service was great and the food was absolutely delicious!
Had a wonderful seafood dinner.
The seating was too close and enclosed for Covid. It was also dineLA week and the appetizer and meal portion sizes were less than ideal per person. Overall not a good dineLA experience. I was disappointed. Perhaps it’s better when not Covid and dineLA.
Really enjoyed the outdoor rooftop dining! The Truffle Uni Pasta was amazing! I was very surprised by the Green Tea Creme Brûlée, it was way better than the original one. The Grilled Octopus was delicious as well. I had a chance to look at the rest of the menu outside of the Dine LA that I did and I would definitely come back to try the rest of the menu, if I can resist not ordering the Truffle Uni Pasta all the time! The only critique I would give was that the service was slow in between each course and we had to wait awhile just to get our drinks. Other then that the staff was very nice.
Poor service, long wait time even with reservations. The food was ok but not worth the price in my opinion.
pre-2020. I have no problem paying premium prices for fresh and tasteful meals. However, this was a very disappointing experience, and it is unfortunate that C.O.D. will no longer be my regular spot for seafood. I do not recommend this restaurant (not to mention that my family was packed like sardines in the upstairs balcony in the midst of COVID re-opening).
I selected the Seafood Tower and the U-10 Scallops from the DineLA menu. The "Tower" comprised 1 oyster, a small chunk of crab, and a regular sized cocktail shrimp. My entree was just 3 scallops. See pictures. This dinner was NOT worth $55 + tax and gratuity.
For those who do dine here, make sure to double check the itemized receipt. C.O.D. charged us twice for our Wagyu Beef entree, even though they incorrectly cooked the first steak served, and had to replace with a second steak.
Food was good....service took a long time :/ they also didn’t have the dessert that I was super excited about .....And they didn’t let us know until we were almost done with our meal.... I was a little bummed out.
We did the DineLA dinner. The Seafood tower on appetizer was basically 1 oyster, 1 shrimp, and a small piece of king crab. They were all delicious but hardly a “Tower”. The grilled octopus was great. The Wagyu steak main was overcooked. Our waitress never bothered to ask how we wanted it cooked. The uni pasta was delicious and decadent. We ordered half a dozen Kumamoto oysters extra. I have never seen smaller oysters in my life served to us. I know Kumamoto oysters are on the smaller side. But these were like baby one. We were joking asking is there a legal size for oysters? Our server was nice but difficult to find. I had to wave my hands thru the windows to get her attention. It was not very busy, only a few tables outside because of Covid. I will not be coming back soon.
DineLA. Too many tables, too close together during COVID times. Understaffed. Servers should have less tables right now.
From food to service and value everything was on spot!
We tried baked salmon roll to start followed by three mains consisting of filet mignon beef, their signature truffle uni pasta, which was divine as was their next signature item chilean sea bass cooked to perfection!
Marcus, the owner/principal was overseeing everything and our server Maria was exceptional...thank you guys for a great night out!
Christina made our entire evening! She really made my 40th birthday stand out even in the midst of the pandemic. She was so warm and friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. She really made my day!
The food, as usual, was amazing!! The back patio was perfect for the very cold, rainy weather. Wine selection was fantastic (bottle called Educated Guess)!
To start: we walked in and the host/hostess was MIA. The waitress we had rushed us up until we placed our order, coming to the table nonstop even after we said we needed more time to decide on our main course (this type of interaction took place 4 times). Then after we placed our main course, she did not check on us at all or bring soy sauce for the sushi order. We sat there for 20 minutes before deciding just to eat without the soy sauce. She truly ruined the entire experience. That said, the food was good. Reasonably priced. Overall, will not be coming back due to horrendous service.
The food was amazing - the outdoor setting was wonderful- the weather was really cold but luckily
The heaters were strong, the vibe was gorgeous and the service was wonderful
Portions were very small and expensive. Only delicious food item was the Chilean Sea Bass.
Great dineLA option!! Amazing food and service, will return
This place is NOT covid friendly. Tables are on top of eachother. The bartender downstairs used a straw to try a drink he had just prepared. At least half of the chefs were not wearing masks. Overall, really disappointing. They were way overbooked for the amount of tables they actually had.
The DineLA dinner menu at $55 is seriously overpriced: so-called "sea food tower" consisted of 1 shrimp, 1 small crab leg and 1 oyster; the server steered us away from the "small, 4" scallop entrée. "deluxe" sushi entree was ordinary and certainly not deluxe; bass was tasty and average portion.
Come on, the whole point of DineLA is to introduce new customers to signature dishes and create a positive experience so you'll come back.
Dessert was ok for cheesecake(too cold) and better lava cake with ice cream.
Apparently there's a rooftop that probably is lively, but doubt that we;ll be back.
Ordered three things and didn’t even finish one dish. Everything was mediocre. Ambience upstairs was nice and server was great. Food was a disappointment but overall decent.
the restaurant was located on a busy street but being upstairs appeared to make things quiet which was very nice. food was good; if i were to go back i would like to try other things on the menu
Dinner was fantastic!
It was nice to sit down at a restaurant. It was outdoor seating so chilly but the staff was very accommodating in moving heaters. Food was great though overvalued. For the price we expected more/for it to come with rice etc. Staff was pleasant but spread thin. We took the COVID measures into consideration.
Food was fresh and delicious. Definitely would go back.
Quiet nice casual and Avery good food pork belly fried rice is a must
Preset menu for Valentine’s Day. Was pretty good. Wait staff was awesome! Ambiance was amazing.
Excellent chilian sea bass, seafood curry good.Greenbeans excellent dumplings with shrimp was good.Staff efficient and cordial
Aew i me ,
The wait to get a drink or even asked for your order estimate 1 hour to 1.5 hours. So make sure your not hungry and thirsty right away. Even water won’t be deliver till you ask several times for it. This was my second time coming to the restaurant and I had just as bad of an experience as the first time. The restaurant seems to always have 1 server in the bottom level and 1 server at the second level, so they usually aren’t able to give great service and everything is long waits due to understaff. I have heard from friends this place was great before covid but now and days with the understaffed situation the quality you get in this restaurant is not up to par with the prices for the food you pay for. The food is overly priced but for LA you expect that the only difference is usually when your paying high for the food the service is key. We ordered their truffle para which right of the back on the menu sounds incredible and when we received it the sauce was amazing but the meat they pair with it was mostly fatty and the portion was the size of a small thumb so not much protein and not tasty protein either. The dumplings are small and the presentation of the dumpling is much more high end looking that the actual quality and size of the the dumplings. As far as the bar, we asked for several drinks kinda we wanted but the bar tender seemed just as inexperienced with bartending as our waitresses knowledge on the menu. Very poor. I hope this restaurant can provide better service and quality food to new customers but I don’t think this is a restaurant I’d give a third try to.
Nice outdoor dining experience on balcony. All of the food was delicious.
