It’s a great date night place for a special occasion in BR. It is very mellow and intimate. The cocktails and food were great, although it was all on the higher pricier side. We would go back, but it’s definitely not somewhere you can go all the time. Glad something like this exists in downtown!

Excellent steak, simply seasoned, black pepper crust was perfect. The best steak I’ve had in BR. Traditional bourbon cocktails were delicious! Pork cheeks!!! Osso Buco!!! Spot on service from Todd!!!

The place is very cute. I think you could call it chic, fancy, modern, cool industrial. It was clean and not stressful. Sadly it was too hot to sit outside but tables inside were nice too. The food is a little over priced in my opinion but it's worth to try new things. This was actually my first time trying tartare and I loved it! I wish they had just a couple more options for entrees but appetizers were outstanding. Very different from most restaurants around here and the presentation of the plates is superb. They also count with very polite, and quick runners.

The food was good but the Menu is very limited. Only go there to get one of the specific menu items that you won’t find at other restaurants. It was a nice one time experience since my husband likes elk but not likely we’ll go back.

The restaurant was jammed and understaffed the night I was there, so the service was friendly but erratic. They forgot my cocktail order completely, brought the salad almost immediately, I had to ask two people to get a glass of wine. But the people were very nice and the food was good. I don’t live in Baton Rouge but if I did I’d give it another chance.

Delicious varied fare served by a knowledgeable waitstaff and an excellent bartended. Beautiful and varied wine list as well. One of our 2 or 3 favorite places to eat in a city full of great indep restaurants. .

I eat at Cocha regularly. This visit I received very poor service from Cheyenne. She rushed me through my meal, putting two dishes in front of me at the same time. Then after rushing me so much she tried to upsell me with dessert. It was really an unpleasant experience. I tried to talk to the owner about the service after I moved over to the bar to get a coffee before leaving but he said he was too busy and sat down at a table with some guests. I gave him my business card and asked him to call me, he hasn’t called yet ( it was 3 days ago).

First visit to Cocha, and we will absolutely return. Seasonal menu and farm to table sourced food was excellent. Compliments to the chef. Wine selection was very good, and even a bit unusual. We enjoyed a great bottle of French Sancerre. We even shared a dessert which is very unusual for us. Downtown parking is often a trial, but Cocha is just off the beaten path enough and more importantly has their own parking lot, so parking was a snap. We will bring our adult children and out of town friends when we have the opportunity.

Great experience. Went with two people who have been to Cocha a lot and two who had never been. Seated in back when grill was going crazy and back room filled with smoke. Mostly just funny. It calmed down soon enough. The restaurant had a great busy Saturday night vibe. We enjoyed our cocktails and shareables - corn cakes and salmon tartar. The corn cakes were intense, a step up from past visits. We had octopus which was amazing and three other very good dishes as well. Service via Andrew was wonderful, in a non-showy way.

Our fourth time here, always a top experience. If anywhere near Baton Rouge, we always make it a point to stay near here so we can walk have a top-notch dinner with attentive with stuff. Who’s all been there a long time, kniw the menu, can help guide choices- salmon belly with plantains is my favorite. The steaks are always great. Fantastic wine list many options by the glass so you can have a different one with each course.

We brought our family here that was visiting from out of town and we had a wonderful experience. Not only was the food delicious, but all the staff were very professional and attentive. The owner was very kind and accommodating since we had our newborn with us. She made us feel welcomed and shared a bit about her background and about the restaurant. Good food, good vibe, good people. Nothing more you could ask for.
