Fabulous experience. First time. Walked from hotel. Visiting daughter at LSU. New favorite. Downtown BR ROCKS!
Cocha is always excellent
A very different and pleasing menu. Excellent service and surprisingly good lunch menu. Prices were very reasonable. I'm definitely coming back for dinner.
Cocha's never disappoints. The quality and freshness of food is amazing. Cocha's is our favorite Baton Rouge restaurant. If you are looking for a special place, you will find it at Cocha's.
One of my new favorites! The Service was impeccable and the food was better!
The food was phenomenal, the server was very attentive, and all precautions were well done. Excellent all the way around and highly recommend
Delicious fresh food and cocktails! We can't wait to go back!
Eating at Cocha was the perfect restaurant for eating with my 88 year old mom and vegan sister. The patio seating and servers wearing masks made it a safer alternative for us dining during pandemic. There were delicious options on the menu for all of us from meat eater to vegan. Owner and staff were super friendly, accommodative, and genuinely enthusiastic about the entrees. Our server also made excellent wine pairing suggestions. Definitely recommend.
I love the experience because the restaurant was clean, well organized, and slot of wonderful art work on the wall. A nice environment an nice staff too.
Amazing menu. Unique options. Delicious food.
Outstanding menu choices and wonderful flavors in every dish. The owners love their work. Fresh, farm-to-table, healthy food! We will be back!
Very well done across the board Cocha— nice job. It was like escaping Baton Rouge for a few hours— a very much needed experience. Thank you.
We consider ourselves foodies, and have truly eaten all around the world.but I can kick myself for taking so long and going to Cocha when it was right under my nose.the owners, I met the husband Enrique from the time we entered till the time we left was truly amazing.he uses a lot of his influences from Venezuela and adds his twists for his food.this restaurant is going to be tough to beat in my book.
The food was amazing. The owner/chef was so friendly and we had a great conversation about food and wine. This is one of Baton Rouge's best kept secrets. The atmosphere is relaxed and enjoyable. The bartenders are great make some really quality cocktails. Give it a try, like us, you will come back again and again.
Great experience. Great food. Great service. Can’t wait to go back!
Delicious food. Fresh ingredients! Cocktails and wines were great as well.
Amazing food and atmosphere and the service was spectacular!
We went for a birthday brunch, and they made us feel so welcome. (Had the ribeye and black garlic butter special, and it was amazing.)
Loved the food and service! Friendly, welcoming staff. Excellent experience, we'll be back soon!
The food, the service, and the overall dining experience at Cocha was outstanding!
Three girlfriends celebrating bdays. Staff were friendly, attentive! Catch if the day was delicious, and dessert was special! Will go again.
As always, the food is magnificent. The quality and flavors are unmatched.
Service is always fantastic. Wish we lived in Baton Rouge so we could go there more often.
Such a special place - very welcoming and well run - delicious food impeccably prepared - all with a sense of unpretentious style. Bravo
Wait person most considerate- thought if things I didn’t know I needed! 👍
We love the fresh food selections, along with the always unique ways they are prepared. Their cocktails are great, too!
We enjoyed Sunday Brunch. The Cocha salad was light and perfect. The curry dish with coconut rice was seasoned very nicely. Not too strong.
Great entrees. Nice outdoor seating area. Attentive staff.
Delicious food. Great atmosphere. Great brunch too.
Love this place...service and food were outstanding..been there twice and and continue to frequent this restaurant!!!
With the outdoor dining it feels like a European restaurant. The food is excellent and not your normal South LA fare. I had mushroom risotto. Excellent! The owners are heavily involved and the service is faultless. This was our first outing since the pandemic struck and we chose Cocha. It did not disappoint. Highly recommend it.
Awesome to have a waiter who is able to communicate in American Sign Language!
We always have a wonderful meal at Cocha. The chef shows daring and creativity and we never hesitate to try the specials (as we did that night). Our server, Wayne, did a superb job of making sure that our experience was top-notch. Cocha is one of our favorite restaurants in Baton Rouge and we will most definitely be back!
My favorite restaurant in Baton Rouge. The food is always stellar, the service great, and the ambiance special without being too fussy. Lots of vegan and vegetarian options. My favorite dish has been their seafood stew...oh how marvelous. It’s out of season now so I had the moules frites. YUM. They have a great wine list too. Highly recommended.
We were a table of 8 and visiting from out of town. Joey took excellent care of us and we enjoyed being able to visit vs be rushed through our meal.
You have to try this place. 5+ stars. Recommend if you are looking for a date night place. Food was unique and delish.
I should start with saying that Cocha is my favorite restaurant in Baton Rouge. I like the place because it is one of the few upscale restaurants that consistently has good options for vegetarians. On Valentine's Day, though, they disappointed me. Two things in particular disappointed me.
First, when we looked at the prix fixe menu, which was mandatory for the evening, there was no vegetarian entree. When we asked about this, before ordering, we were told that there was something, but the chef decided not to put it on the menu. OK. Weird, but OK. We then ordered the only items we could and looked forward to the meal. The 1st course was essentially one sliced mushroom, the 2nd course was three pieces of asparagus, and the entree was, which was actually delicious, vegan casserole of sorts. For dessert, I had a tasty tres leche; whereas, my husband had mousse or something. The entree and the desserts were superb, but this wasn't worth $75. If the vegetarian options are like this, I cannot recommend Cocha when they do a prix fixe. Vegetarians are getting ripped off. That was the first thing that was upsetting.
The second concerned our after-dinner drinks. My husband ordered a benedictine, and I got a calvados. The server took our orders, but then came back to me and asked if I wanted mine 'straight up.' I was puzzled (who drinks brandy with ice!?) and just said yes. When the bill came, I saw that I had a 40% upcharge on the drink for having it without ice. Of course, the menu specified no such upcharge. I was annoyed but decided not to complain. The annoying thing wasn’t exactly the price: if what they charged me was the listed price, I would’ve ordered it anyway. The problem is that there shouldn’t be an upcharge for ordering brandy the standard way. The fact that there is means that somebody doesn’t know what they’re doing. If I’m spending nearly $300 for two people for an evening out, I’m paying for people to know better.
