Cobarde was born in Oaxaca with the dream of offering an authentic and responsible approach to mezcal and its uniquely rich gastronomy. In 2020, we opened in Puerto Escondido, and after arriving in the state capital in 2022, we now begin a new chapter in Mexico City.

With a casual style and a fusion of fine dining and pop culture, Cobarde showcases the signature cuisine of Chef Pako Cortés, who blends Asian, Middle Eastern, and Eastern European flavors with Mexican ingredients. The menu is rooted in local products and sustainable practices, delivering bold dishes full of spices, color, and flavor.

Perfect outdoor terrace with great design. Food was not Mexican which was a welcome change! Wine is super expensive but the food was priced normally

Great food, excellent blend between Asian and Mexican cuisine. Amazing view from the terrace. Ambience is great and lots of space between tables. Service is efficient and friendly.

A la comida le hace falta sabor y el servicio es pesimo, la Hostess es grosera, y lo otro es Que no pedimos postre por lo cual me contestaron “okey entonces le traigo su cuenta” .

I've been to cobarde twice now. The first time, my experience was great ! The food was amazing. I couldn't stop telling people how good that place is . 5 months later , I went back to Oaxaca, and 1 of the places that I wanted to go back was cobarde. I google the restaurant just to see if they were open , and I was surprised by the low raiting they had but i just thought it was a couple of bad reviews so I didn't care much about that so I just went back because of my first experience. But this second experience was nothing like the first one. The first thing I noticed going up the stairs it's that they got awarded a michelline star, I was surprised that they restaurant was empty even with the star . Usually, michelline star restaurants have a long wait time, or you have to reserve in advance, but that's not the case anymore. We ordered and the first thing that I notice it was that the place weren't the same for everyone, mismatch and some of them had the rim broken, I thought for a michelline star restaurants that was a no no but not here. We ordered over 8 dishes, and only once they changed our plates. The first time I was there, they were constantly changing or asking if we wanted new plates. The food was good, but there were 2 dishes that were just awful. The shrimp dish was probably one of the worst dishes I ever had. Just tasted like a burned shrimp shell with a strong coconut flavor, barely any meat on the shrimp. But the hanger steak was just awful, I asked for medium rare, the steak came out blue, still cold in the middle . I told the server and he took it back and when he brought it back we could tell he was upset , he went and told us that we were wrong and they gave it to us the way we asked for it , trying to explain me how temperatures on meat work , terrible attitude. Michelline star, it's not a prestigious award how it used to be
