The Coal Office restaurant is a collaboration between renowned Chef Assaf Granit and British designer Tom Dixon.
Offering 360-degree views over Granary Square and newly regenerated parts of London, the 96 cover restaurant has a rooftop terrace, outside dining area and an open kitchen layout throughout two floors. Going beyond a typical restaurant offering, Coal Office is a place where you can experience fresh, creative food in a variety of beautifully designed and atmospheric spaces, where the provenance is explained, the tableware is available to buy, and the recipes are shared.

To showcase the best of our hospitality the atmosphere at Coal Office is lively with highly energetic music throughout both dining rooms.

The setting and decor of the restaurant was amazing and majority of the staff were really friendly and good crack. The main waitress however felt a bit cold and rushed us. We have 2 amazing dishes (the octopus and the gate salad). The stone bass was unfortunately undercooked and raw in the middle. The baklava was also super dry, I’ve had better from my local corner shop. Overall a shame but hints of amazing ness

Seriously good food. Attentive service but just too much like TGI Friday with all that whooping and hollering and singing happy birthday. Conversation impossible. Not classy.

This is my second time at this restaurant and won’t be the last. The staff is very welcoming and friendly too. We had the octopus and the lamb together with the aubergine dish and the scallops. The food was delicious with so much flavor and one of my favourite items is the bread. This is one of my favourite restaurants in London would definitely recommend !

What a great evening we had from the get-go. Fantastic service from the moment of arrival, really interesting and delicious food and such a great atmosphere. I couldn’t recommend more highly.

Food was lovely, but it was very noisy with the staff dragging the chairs across the floor, and the extremely noisy ice cream machine. It was impossible to have a conversation when the ice cream machine is on.
