Claude Bosi at Bibendum
Birthday meal for my partner. A great all round resturant. A very homely feeling. We will return. Great service and attention to detail.
Great food and great environment. Next time we will try tasting menu
A most exquisite meal and service to match. Despite their professionalism the waitstaff were warm, attentive and made us feel very welcome. The food was unsurpassed. Will definitely return.
Incredible if this man doesn’t get his third star this year I give up
An exceptional experience in an extraordinary space
Exceptional and beautifully presented food
with friendly and impeccably professional service.
The service was amazing, especially given all the various food preferences we asked to be offered. The food is beautiful visually and the taste exquisite.
Sad to say it was pretty average. Unfortunate as i had very high hopes given some fabulous meals at Hibiscus in the past.
Amazing meal, quality better than the fat duck!
Toilets over flowing. Found a piece of paper in my dish dating it, it was ten days old.
Taste is sacrificed for presentation, prawn starter and venison main course both far too salty. Chocolate souffle bitter and had powdery texture, very disappointing. The best element were the hors d'oeuvres which were incredible. Service was attentive, ambience a bit flat. At these prices you expect an exceptional all round experience, unfortunately this was not achieved.
The thought for Claude designing an open kitchen was so mind blowing! To be able to watch Claude and his kitchen brigade operate smoothly and faultlessly as one and provide dish after dish of such a high standard. You've made my son's 21st birthday a memorable occasion.
We had a wonderful time at Bibendum. The food was exceptional and we really enjoyed it.
Food was exceptional, fresh cuisine with a modern twist. Tasted dishes I would never consider if it was a la carte. The snails dish was truly wonderful. We went on a busy saturday evening and compared to other Michelin starred restaurants they seemed to stretched with the number of staff to support customers
Fabulous food, service and atmosphere. Highly recommend
creative new menu
Excellent food and service. The tasting menu is beautifully presented. There was one dish I was not keen on - they offered to replace it which was very thoughtful bearing in mind I knew it was on the menu.
Definitely will go back.
Excellent restaurant had an extremely enjoyable experience food and attention to detail were spot on
Perfect restaurant with wonderful attentive staff and some the best food we have eaten ever.Always an occasion to look forward to.
My starter, the agnolotti was delicious in truly outstanding broth and the following main course of duck was so beautiful I was reluctant to eat it!!
A special mention goes to the egg "amusement" this time with Jerusalem Artichoke.I could just eat a whole meal of these as they are so good.Roll on 2020
Excellent food and wine pairing experience. Taste buds excitment. It does come at a price tho.
One can't fault the craftsmanship and attention to detail but unfortunately food and flavour seems to have been sacrificed along the way, and the prices are ridiculous. £250 for lunch for two, including £40 for a couple of meagre glasses of English sparkling wine and a half bottle of Cotes du Rhone, is a joke, but could have been justified if the helpings had been more substantial and had constituted what one could conceivably recognise as a "meal". However the amuses bouches were forgettable, the egg shell taster was clever but bland, the first course comprised tiny and slightly undercooked pasta shapes, and the main course was a delicious but wholly insubstantial piece of pork, and that was about it. My hopes rose when a pan appeared with some dauphinoise potatos ... but I was served about a teaspoonful. The staff seemed embarrassed about serving this up and showed proficiency, but no great degree of enthusiasm. Nice cheese for pudding, but then again anyone can serve up a cheese board. Sorry but this is emperor's new clothes. It was nice taking a couple of hours out to chat to my wife in very pleasant surroundings but I would have been better off skipping the meal and saving myself the money
Most delicious food I've eaten for some time
Attentive & unobtrusive service
Better without any music
We advised the restaurant that my wife is allergic to mushrooms. Despite this my wife was persuaded to try the dessert even though it smelt of mushrooms by members of staff who said she’d like it. Several members of staff came to urge her to do it. She ate one mouthful to discover it really was made of mushrooms and then she suffered for the next 24 hours. Not the way to end such a meal."
This is for special occasions - for those who want to experience food at its most refined with a really clever interpretation of classics as well as fascinating combinations.
Simply outstanding. Had the Taster Menu and was amazed by every course.
First class food, welcome and service, excellent som, and a well curated ambience
Great dining experience!
This is my third attempt at having an enjoyable evening at Bibendum and on each occasion there have been problems This time the service was disappointing and rather arrogant with the exception of the somellier who was particularly attentive. The acoustics are appalling and there were several noisy parties present. The menu choice is too pedantic with helpings small and concentrating on artistic appearance rather than taste. Fortunately my two guests were able to change their first course choice to oysters rather than the suggestions offered I needed binoculars to see my scallops! The John Dory and Sea Bass looked and tasted very unfishlike and the former was arranged with en excessive extra cost for a few flakes of truffle on the John Dory. The tart tatin was minuscule. The wine list was extremely expensive with very ordinary wines starting in the £60 - £80 bracket! How you manage to survive at such enormous prices with limited originality and tiny helpings beggars belief. Definitely my last visit and I will certainly warn any friends against choosing your restaurant
Service outstanding, wonderful mix of knowledgeable and friendly, good explanations of courses. Food - a little underwhelming, yes carefully and lovingly constructed with great skill but a few dishes missed the mark of taste - Sea Bass too salty (yes cooked in a rice and salt casing but too salty). Chocolate soufflé looked great, taste a little bland. Tarte Tartin not an accurate description at all - it was more of a std tarte.
The food is sublime and I would really recommend this for a special occasion as it is very expensive.
Some dishes were a bit too salty, otherwise great restaurant. Lovely service, gave Christmas cards on the way out.
Superb dinner and fantastic service who looked after us from the beginning. Allergies were catered for and the food was simply delicious.
Fabulous evening. Great food, attentive service and beautiful building in which to dine
Great sommelier, extraordinary food, beautifully presented
The food was exceptional, the best experience possible.
The service was impeccable, the food was outstanding, and the atmosphere was relaxing.
I had the scallop to start, followed by the sea bass, cheese course, and finally the chocolate souffle. Everything was expertly executed, the delicate flavours combined beautifully, as one would expect from French cuisine. My favorite dish was the chocolate souffle.
It was also nice catching a glimpse of Chef Claude Bosi in the kitchen. This is my favorite French restaurant in London as of this time.
Exceptional food and service!
Outstanding service, menu, and wine pairings. We could not recommend the restaurant enough.
Food, service, ambience, wine list - absolutely spot on. Couldn't have asked for a better lunching experience.
All was amazing
