Chucs Cafe Kensington
The breakfast menu features a wide selection of dishes, ranging from fresh pastries and House Granola with Flat Peaches & Yoghurt, to classic favourites including Eggs Benedict, and Smashed Avocado with Poached Eggs & Smoked Chilli. The all day offering will include some of Chucs’ most popular dishes, including the delicious – and don’t forget Instagrammable – Cobb Salad, Chicken Paillard & Club Sandwich.
Come evening, guests can select from a carefully curated wine list - a large selection of which will be available by the glass – all to be enjoyed alongside ciccheti, small plates, or main dishes - including Burrata with Flat Peaches, Chilli & Mint, and Fennel Risotto with Black Olive Pangrattato.
Good lunch spot!!!
I have been here before and loved it but something has happened since Aug both to service level and food. The menu is new and did not have much interesting in it. Seems to have gone a bit down market but maybe because its not doing so well. I would recommend the restaurants but it would appear that the cafe's do not have the brand's full management attention.
Yes but... service was not so good ... we have waited for a long time to order and then to get our main course. When we asked for the desert menu ... same story!! But, most importantly, the food was very good... ouf 😅
Service was extremely poor and haphazard. We had to ask several times to get served and the manager was extremely rigid when we asked to order from the brunch menu. They had apparently stopped ordering at 1.30pm and we tried to order at 1.33pm. Fair enough but with such a limited menu they need to then offer more options. Also there was a very loud group dominating the restaurant with their children running around. Go to PJs round the corner instead! Much better service, food and ambience.
Usually a favourite spot for lunch but sadly the service was disappointing today. Ordered a bread basket which did not arrive, and we did not order starters as preferred the bread instead. It arrived after some time, during our main course, without oil or balsamic vinegar so it was dry. We asked and it did not arrive so asked again. The main course however was delicious as always.
Great place. Perfect location with a nice outdoor terrace. The staff are brilliant. One of our favourites.
Lovely staff but chaotic service. Poor greeting on arrival - didn’t seem to know my booking, despite ringing to say I’d be 5 minutes late. Main course arrived shortly after arrival of cicchetti. Outside tables far too close together for comfort. Food good but not outstanding. £9 for gin plus £4 for tonic is TOO much. That’s £26 before even eating and the same orice as a bottle of wine!
Got brunch Omelette is just 3 eggs for 8 pounds no thanks...you should have a real omelette or just remove it from the menu. It’s a nice place just not a great brunch selection.
I did not get what I ordered. The waiter was quite arrogant and did Not actually pay attention to my order. When I received my breakfast, i was missing part of what I ordered BUT got invoiced for it.
It’s nice how they made it.
The yoghurt with granola was nice and also the coffees
Service was bit slow but all the staff seemed nice and friendly
Breakfast/brunch date with a friend. We booked in advance, we were two adults with a buggy. They had a great table for us. The food is so good - you’ll never be disappointed! The service was a bit slow but still good.
We’ve also been to the one in Notting Hill - also great!
Food was great! Hostess was so lovely but the waiting staff were rather faulty towers! They forgot our drinks order twice and told us there was no sieve for our tea (it was loose tea) but there was as we could see other people using them! My coffee was cold but they remade it without fuss on my request. They brought out my food on two separate plates which just made no sense (it was eggs with mushrooms). I think it’s a new place so I guess these are just teething problems. Shame as the food was excellent!
Had lunch with a friend on an outside table on a warm day. Service was very friendly and swift.
Menu is limited and fairly simple but quality was excellent. Wine list had reasonable choice but very expensive for somewhere deemed a cafe rather than a restaurant.
My Caccio e pepe came cold, service was painfully slow.
Food is way over priced for the poor quality, will not be returning. I’ll stick to the ever wonderful Harry’s Dolce Vita for my local riviera style Italian dining.
There is room for improvement. I think a few of the staff need further training!
We had a reservation but when I arrived it felt as though the staff member had no idea where to us, that there was no seating plan!
Although Chucs Cafe is beautifully decorated, the service is unprofessional (they're clueless and unaccommodating!), and the food is tasteless (pizza is NOT fresh, but comes from the freezer!).
They also play hard to get and turn people down who don't have a reservation even if there are plenty of tables available. The whole place is just a fake in a beautiful wrapping! We were not impressed to say the least.
Not as good as the Mayfair restaurant. Looking forward to a time when you are.
Average food, nice atmosphere, service experience varied according to the member of staff.
What a restaurant to open in Chelsea! Wonderful terrace and interiors, it’s smaller than you think but the staff are accommodating, definitely book. By far the highlight for me is the most delicious Italian food, seriously impressed and the aubergine parmigiana is one of the best I’ve ever had. Well worth a visit-it is becoming one of my regular restaurants, well done CHUCS! Ps get the zucchini Fritti to start with drinks-delicious!
The food was not what it is at Chucs Nothing Hill. The arancini and zucchini fritti look the part but quite bland and same with beef carpaccio. Its missing the delicious food of Chucs Nottinghill. The interior and terrace is a beautiful setting but the quality of the food needs to improve!
I ordered a starter of burrata, peach, mint and chili. My partner ordered s club sandwich. FORTY minutes later it arrived. Not offered bread and oil and we had finished our drinks. The peach was an unripe nectarine, there were five specks of chili and it was very disappointing. I told the waiter and he said he would tell the chef. No good to me though.
