Service was great food was mediocre. Our lo mein tasted soapy. Food was very salty

Fantastic new addition to the Point Loma area. Chins is a San Diego institution and we've frequented the La Jolla location for years, so it's nice to have one on this side of town. Point Loma is in desperate need of new sit down restaurants and Chins did a really nice job of the build out. As usual the food and service were fantastic. Make a reservation as the dining room fills up quickly.

Beautiful interior design and very welcoming upon entering the restaurant. We came to celebrate a birthday and felt like we chose to a special place for the occasion. The menu had a good selection of dishes. We loved everything we ordered, from fried dumplings to hot and sour soup, and several house specialties. There were enough leftovers to bring home. The menu had a nice selection of wines and beer, sake, tea and soft drinks. The staff was professional and made our experience special. We ended the meal with a special birthday candle and Chinese almond and fortune cookies. We decided that we will be coming back for sure.

Chin's has really stepped up their game at this new location. The service was outstanding, the presentation was excellent, the food very good. I will be back!

My family and I really enjoyed our dinner. The food was excellent and the service was great. Everything we ordered came out exactly the way we want it and we have a few picky eaters in our crew.

My theater group has been searching for a Chinese food restaurant comparable to the Panda Inn that was in Horton Plaza. We have finally discovered our replacement. The soups and entrees at Chin's Szechwan were excellent. We particularly wanted to try the walnut shrimp and green beans - two of our previous favorites. The dishes did not disappoint. Portions were also very generous, and the price was reasonable. Service was fast and efficient. My theater group is already planning a return trip. A nicety was a phone call to see if we still planned to keep our reservation. Getting out of the parking structure after the theater proved to be a major challenge, and 45 minutes was not enough time to make the quick drive from downtown. The courtesy of calling to check with us was appreciated.

Very modern throughout, including the well done bathrooms. Food was good and service was very good. Would recommend this for anyone that wants a Chinese meal in a good ambiance.
