Chato's Bar and Grill, our mission is to provide Downtown Santa Ana with an upper casual Mexican Dining experience, that is not only authentically unique, but paired with a vibrant lifestyle. Santa Ana natives themselves, the owners and founders have a combined Twenty Years in the service industry and hospitality experience which resonates in all details that are cemented in their service model. Chef Sergio show cases the flavors of central Mexico with an unmistakable California influence. Chato's is a perfect balance of a tastefully casual environment and refined culinary exploration. The professional mixologist at Chato's have an agave influenced menu and its dedication to complementing the variety of flavor profiles throughout the cuisine is always at the forefront. Chato's recently was recognized n the Orange County Register by having the second best Taco in OC by food critic Brad Johnson. Chato's was number eleven on Brad Johnson top twenty things he ate in all of 2021.

Food wasn’t too good. I wish I knew before it was more Of a bar. Service was horrible. Literally only Couple there dinning and server never came to check on us. And when we did request something she gave us a attitude like we’re bugging her. Music was good. Over all 3/10.

Very impressive. The food and drinks were outstanding and the service was impeccable. It definitely exceeded my expectations.

Its more of a bar style resturant. The food was prepared as good as other top resturants. The service was polite and professional thats saying alot in todays job force. Tomahawk steak was killer! Lots of construction taking place outside just be patience its worth the time and parking is best in the structure around the corner. Short walk to chatos about 50 yards.

It was okay. The food was alright but the service was good. The waiter was attentive and asked if we needed more things. Over mall it was okay not too shabby.

In the area on vacay and our group wanted to do good Mexican food. This place delivered that! Our table ordered a bunch of different food to share and everything was excellent including the drinks. We ate dinner a bit early and so it was not overly busy but the service was great. Good atmosphere, clean bathrooms, overall very good experience. We would all go back for sure.

Found this gem on open table. Our group loved everything we ate. Drinks were very yummy too!

Appetizers: Guacamole was slightly spicy and was very good but, as always, not enough. Potato Taquitos were fantastic. Tacos were also enjoyed and included 4 different versions and all of them were delicious. Also, the bartender made a fantastic non-alcoholic beverage!
