The food was delicious with deep flavours and controlled heat. A modern take on traditional Asian cooking. The owner was in attendance and very attentive, and his team were nice and accommodating.

Amazing Indian food! I was guided by reviews and took the bus from London to visit. The lamb shank Rogan Josh, pulao rice and garlic naan was divine! The cocktails were great too. Staff was very welcoming and warm. Loved it!

Best Indian restaurant in Richmond. Food is absolutely delicious, definitely a cut above your average Indian restaurant.

My experience of Chatora is usually of excellence except for tonight when one waitress let the side down. Whilst taking my order, for some reason, she feels the need to adopt a colonial stance which was unnecessarily aggressive and demeaning. Everything else was as excellent as ever but the exchange with the waitress has left a somewhat bitter taste in my mouth tonight. Shame.

The Food was lovely and really good, not the normal Indian food. Lots of great tastes. But although we booked early at 19.00 which is our normal time of eating being from a sleepy village on the South Devon coast, apart from another couple, we were the only ones there. We found the decor very sparce and the seating very dated with blue velour bench type seating. No pictures on the walls, etc. We booked the mezzanine floor but were put right in the front window, presume to make it look busy. All in all can't fault the food or staff but no atmosphere. Maybe we were too early?

Lovely open air dinner with my daughter. The food is elegant and flavours build subtly. Shout outs for the puri starters with tamarind and pomegranate which we shared, delicious cocktails and of course the wonderful black daal. Our waitress was helpful and courteous. The only downside to the experience were some idiotic loud mouthed young male diners but that’s not the restaurant’s fault. We will be returning.
