    This used to be one of my favorites but it has really gone down in quality. The food and the service are just not what it used to be. The cream that came with our coffee was spoiled. The bread was a bit stale. The amount of pasta noodles that came with my child’s dinner was less than a cup. The filets were dry. The service was very slow. 430 reservations and didn’t leave until 630. It was painful. And all of this to pay $350. It will be the last time.

    While highly rated, I confess to being a bit skeptical and afraid it was a tourist destination. My worries were unjustified. The food and service were exemplary. If we find ourselves drawn back to the area, I will absolutely make this a "must do" dining event. The Hamachi Crudo is apparently an underappreciated appetizer -- we loved it! You won't be disappointed. We both had Sea Bass, so I can't comment on the many other entrees, but the fish was fantastic. Served on a bed of lobster risotto, that we felt was overkill for this delicious and delicate fish. When we return, I suspect we'll continue exploring the menu, but if we were tempted by the Sea Bass, I'd opt for simple butter sauce.

    Celebrated our 29th wedding anniversary with an extra special dinner in Annapolis. Beautiful ambiance, spectacular food and drink with wonderful service. The Chocolate Bourbon Cocktail was amazing!😊

    We visited Charthouse in the past, and didn't have these issues. I would say overall it's still worth visiting. We made reservations for 8p, it was our anniversary dinner. We arrived at 8:05p and waited 20 minutes to be seated. Once seated, we waited another 20 minutes, and no one came over to introduce themselves as our server. At that point, my husband went to find someone to ask to speak with the manager, who was a gentleman named Akeam. The manager apologized for the miscommunication with his staff and expressed that he would make sure we were taken care of. He suggested appetizers (crab dip), which didn't taste good, and an entree (Lamb chops), but the chops were too tough and had to be sent back. The manager was apologetic and gave us a complimentary dessert (Lava cake), appetizers (Cream of crab soup and Escargot), and a drink (Butterfly Effect). Everything except my entrée, the 2nd appetizer, drink, and dessert was sent back.

    This time we felt the food was not up to par to our past experiences. My husbands prime rib had about 7 ounces of fat. The mussels were cooler temperature than normal and somewhat salty and lacking flavor. The keylime pie toasting on top was so toasted it gave a burnt flavor overpowering the delicious crust and pie.
