   There are too many brilliant dishes to choose from! We ate the most delicious crudi misto (tuna, baby red shrimp and yellowtail) followed by calamari a la plancha and roasted aubergine with cherry tomatoes. There was no room for dessert, sadly, but I will go back!

   Oyster bar J If you visit my profile, you’ll see I consistently leave five-star reviews. I believe in championing businesses, even when service is imperfect. But I’m going out of my way to write this review because there is no other word to describe it than horrendous. We even tried to overlook the fact that it took an hour after our reservation time to be seated. We could see it was a busy night and were just excited to sit down. Unfortunately, it only got worse from there. It took another 30 minutes before anyone came to take our order (because we waved them down) and then a full hour after that for the oysters to arrive. Repeatedly, we tried to order wine, which never came. We asked for water, which also never arrived. Our second dish came out cold, and by the third hour of being largely ignored, we decided to cancel our remaining dish and ask for the bill, still hungry but just wanting to get home. Only when we made it clear we were leaving did the staff suddenly attempt to deliver the final dish — at 10:30pm, nearly three hours after our 7:45pm reservation. It was the first time anyone stayed long enough to realise that we had been there for three hours and no one had served us water. This was, without exaggeration, the worst service I have ever experienced. I’ve been at much much busier restaurants that made more of an effort to communicate with their customers, at least checking in enough to make sure the drinks were flowing. I have never done it before because I believe everyone has bad days, but I sincerely regret not asking for the service charge to be removed today.

   Mondays are a dream! £1 oysters were delicious and the staff were amazing.

   Ive been twice and although the food is good and I hate to name and shame, the waiter I’ve had both times isn’t really very friendly. In fact he seems indifferent to the guests which is a real shame given that the prices are pretty high so you’d expect service to be commensurate with the prices

   Booked a table but still has to wait, nevertheless had enjoyed the oysters! The French butter served with the sourdough was also very yummy! Wine pricey but delicious!

   As busy as they were for a bank holiday and the offer they had on, their service was brilliant and very friendly. Will definitely be coming back!

   Took us half an hour to get in, even with a booking! But full rating as the staff are lovely and the food/wine EXCELLENT

   I asked what fish were in the bouillabaisse, I am from Marseille, and bouillabaisse is from Marseille, the waitress answer was an insult to French gastronomy… call it a fish soup please not a bouillabaisse

   Excellent produce, well cooked and the oysters were delicious. Very well curated wine list at very reasonable prices. Great service overall and the chef is very generous. Will definitely go back!
