We were disappointed when we had to send both of our steaks back because they were well done. Waited what seemed to be a long time to cook. While apologetic, our sides were left at the table which made for a disappointing experience.

Chandler's is an excellent, first rate steakhouse restaurant with great staff, decor, food, drinks, and desserts. It would be the perfect place for a celebration or a formal business dinner, given the excellent quality of everything the restaurant has to offer. Even if you are a solo diner visiting town and looking for a delicious and elegant meal, this is a great choice, and you'll feel most welcome!

We went to prime rib night for my birthday. Nice ambience and good service except they began clearing the table before we had all finished eating. Nearly snatched my plate as I was eating. Unfortunately food was not to my liking, What they called medium rare prime rib looked very rare to me. I guess there are no “good” restaurants in Boise.

I was disappoint this visit. My first time coming here was with my husband for our anniversary. The staff asked us if we were there for any occasion and when we told them they went above and beyond to make our night special and even upgraded our dessert for free. We came back for our anniversary this year because the service was so exquisite, however we were greatly disappointed. No one bothered to ask us if we were celebrating anything when we reserved or were being seated. The service that night wasn’t anything special. We were seated directly behind the jazz band and couldn’t even talk to each other without yelling into each other’s ears. Yet they were relocating couples all around us to better seats and didn’t bother to ask us. We spent a lot of money at this establishment but honestly could have gone to a cheap chain restaurant and received better service and could’ve had our night made special.

I also wish they had more vegetarian options. Not their fault because they are a steakhouse but it’d be nice if they expanded the menu to vegetarian/vegan options.

As always, another wonderful meal at Chandlers. The duck two ways is outstanding and the desert with the brownies and maple bacon ice cream is out of this world!

Went for our anniversary and of course had to make a reservation a long ways out. It's a beautiful restaurant located in downtown Boise. Fast valet parking that was free. First class setting from the moment you walk in the door. Lots of food choices, incredible bar and wine list. Of course this doesn't come cheap. The service by our waiter Dallas was fantastic. Excellent recommendations, always made sure the water glasses were full, but the food was the best part. Perfect size meals and the timing between courses was fabulous. Will definitely be back again.

Disappointed they didn't honor a $100 gift certificate we had purchased at a fundraiser auction. Yes, it was expired but I had called a few months prior and the manager said they would honor it. I guess it was a little TOO expired but does that really matter? Meals were great, it just put a sour /negative note on the dining experience for me.

We’ve eaten at Chandlers numerous times. Food is uniformly excellent as is the service. Grass-fed tenderloin is the best!

This was a birthday date for my wife. We moved here from Sonoma County, California, and yes, we are wine and food snobs. The food, service and wine were the best imaginable, with one exception. Every restaurant in the area serves red wine that is too warm. “Room temperature” is not 70* F and up. Cellar temperature should be between 57 and 64 degrees, so the wine will come up a few degrees upon serving.

We come from McCall and it is worth the drive. Some of the best food we have eaten and definitely a place we come back too.
The filet mignon was perfection, the scallops were flavor at its best and the heirloom carrots were a delight.

I'd start this off with "This place is Idaho Fancy". I've lived in Idaho for almost 20 years, so I know how Idaho tries to simulate fancy food. It doesn't really know food, it knows beer. But I digress. Nothing I bought was worth the price range, I had a top sirloin and a few appetizers. The top sirloin came with 6 moderately burnt vegetables and half a tomato covered with .... breadcrumbs? I'm a real big fan of huckleberries, used to pick them with the family as a kid, so I ordered the Huckleberry Lemondrop, which I'd say was 95% alcohol and 5% actual flavor. If you live in Idaho and want a steakhouse to eat at I'd suggest somewhere else, cause I've had way better top sirloin and way better fish for less than 160 dollars. Even the water itself, had a film on it that the waiter said was not supposed to be there. Classy. The atmosphere is super original and completely expected (see: Frank Sinatra played 800 times). Everyone there was dressed super nice, tuxes and dresses, so if you don't wanna feel underdressed, do that. I've had better atmosphere, A5 Wagyu, and a better overall experience here in Florida for half the price. Go here if you wanna impress someone who lives in Idaho. But for me? Extremely underwhelmed. Maybe go to the one in Vegas?

I ordered the Bone In Kansas City Steak @ $56.00. I placed my order for the steak to be cooked to medium. My wife had her filet at medium rare. When the steaks arrived her steak was a perfect med rare, my steak was clearly rare. The waiter took the steak back to finish it and returned it about 8 minutes later somewhere between medium well and well. I did not wish to complain and wait for a new steak while my wife and daughter would have been done and ready for desert by the time mine arrived so I just ate it. Two things: (1) clearly undercooked when first served, a decent kitchen could have move it from rare to medium in about 3 minutes, they lost track of it and ruined the steak. We have dined here before and have been pleased. This dinner was terrible, sadly I don’t know if I will return.

Gave notice at the time of making the reservation that I needed to be gluten free. At dinner bread rolls were brought to the table and my salad was served with croutons. Sent the salad back and received a second salad with croutons. Ultimately gave up on the salad. It's clear the waitstaff and chef do not understand what "being gluten free" means. Be aware of what you're being served and understand the ingredients and questions the prep thoroughly.

Chandler's is our favorite fine dining restaurant and last night's experience was excellent. My husband tried the ribeye for the first time as he usually gets a filet. It was absolutely delicious. I chose the day boat scallops and they were amazing. Our server, Lucas, was the best! He was friendly and informative! I would say the only negative was that it was difficult to hear him as we were sitting at a table on the other side of the bar. Overall, the best in Boise!
