    Cesarina is one of my favorite spots in San Diego. The food always feels fresh and made with love. I had the lasagna and it was incredible, super rich and flavorful. Also, their Arnold Palmer is surprisingly good! The whole place has a cozy vibe, and the staff make you feel right at home. Always a great experience.

    Celebrated a 21st birthday here and the staff accommodated us with a delicious tiramisu made right in front of us and a polaroid picture for free! The food was so good alongside affordable for the San Diego area as well.

    The wonderful experience began when we checked in with the host. He was thoughtful and funny. The young woman who brought the water to our table was polite and kind. Our waiter was professional, appropriately attentive and genuinely sweet. The bread and dip, vegan caprese salad, gnocchi and penne with delicious sauces were exquisite. The limoncello cake and vegan chocolate gelato were, pause for effect, eaten as slowly as possible to savor each bite. It was our 10th anniversary and once again Cesarina did not disappoint.

    We had a fabulous dinner at Cesarina. The food was delicious. We started the evening with the grilled octopus and the heirloom tomatoes with burrata. Our party each ordered their favorite pasta with their personal sauces. The favorite at the table was the funghi. Every guest must not leave without trying the tiramisu. They prepare it at the table and it was the perfect way to end the evening.

    Don’t walk, RUN to Cesarina if you’re wanting authentic Italian. Was recommended this restaurant by several people and there was no guess why as I saw what seemed to be an expert “noodle scientist” cutting dough visibly in the kitchen for everyone to see as we were sat inside. We recently spent 3 weeks in Italy and I have to say the pasta here is as close as you can get to experiencing the real deal in the states as I’ve ever had. Incredible food and service, just do yourself a favor and go!

    The food was wonderful but what really made the evening special was the service. Our waiter Thomas H. couldn’t have been more helpful or charming. We also had another young man helping our table but I missed getting his name. Finally, Iris went above and beyond in making sure our evening was perfect. Kudos to the cooking staff for a delicious meal (do NOT miss having the tiramisu to cap off your dinner!).

    The sliced “gluten free” bread they offered was simply store bought bread and not good at all. Pasta was amazing

    Absolutely fantastic experience! The pasta, antipasta, cocktails, and dessert were yummy and amazing. Assistant Manager Iris and waiter Megan were warm and kind and made me feel like family. The ambiance is brilliant, too. As a frequent traveler and dedicated foodie, I highly encourage you to add Cesarina to the top of your list when you're in San Diego.

    I am fortunate that I have been to Cesarina a few times now. The food is always outstanding. If you are looking for fresh, homemade pasta with mouth watering sauce then Cesarina is your spot. This time the service was subpar. Our first experience at Cesarina we had an outstanding server that took time with us to build a rapport, told us the history of the restaurant, and gave wonderful recommendations. This time the service was impersonal, slow, and average.
