Great food and great service! Try the lobster pizza!
Great service! Good food!
The ambiance is amazing! The service was great and the good was FANTASTIC! Definitely a favorite.
Very fine dining experience. Mellow atmosphere, friendly staff, nice selection of food. I would return for a future Thanksgiving. Not quite home made but solid fare. Desserts ruled, too. I thought it was pretty good value for the money.
The food was cold , gravy sitting in a bowl no heat under it , doors were all open to outside & food was cold had to eat fast , but lovely room good desserts & friendly great service
the short rib pappardelle was tasteless, bland, and the noodles were unevenly cooked and knotted together.
Avoid that dish.
The menu was much more limited than I had anticipated: hamburgers or lobster. It did seem a bit odd. The hamburger was very good, though!
The food wasnt the greatest! Food was really bland. It was really empty as well. Especially for such a beautiful Sunday
I went for my brother's birthday as he wanted surf and turf and we wanted to try something new. The restaurant is inside the Sofitel Hotel. He did in fact order the Cattle and Claw Bone In with Whole Lobster. I ordered the Bone in and he shared some of his Lobster with me. Everything was delish, including our salads and cheesecake for dessert. Steaks were ginormous, but super flavorful and cooked just as we ordered. Lobster was sweet and succulent. The vibe was pretty quiet as there wasn't a big crowd when we arrived at around 6:45 pm. Service was excellent. We both left with food for the next day. Seems like the hostess may have sat us without picking up we had a reservation. Will be back to try some of the other items on the menu (e.g. Lobster Roll and Bisque)
Very nice French-flavored atmosphere, cosy outside dining and a very nice and attentive waiter.....Food was excellent, we had lobster bisque and lobster as main dish....
Awesome everything. I mean, lobster and a burger?? Come on!
Service was great! Ambiance was wonderful! Food was meh! Not a great deal of flavor but edible. I give a 4.5 because of everything else.
They only have two things on the menu - Burgers and Lobsters in various incarnations and combinations. Everything we had was super delicious and it was all reasonably priced (I would go as far to say inexpensive). My only complaint is that they uncharge for everything - sauces, cheese, etc. But the meal, with booze and dessert only came out to $50 per person
Great Mojitos! Good food! The atmosphere was great!
Steer clear of the brunch menu. The items on the regular menu looked good as they passed by on their way to tables, but the brunch menu was a big disappointment.
Lobster roll and truffle fries are a killer combination! Such a pretty patio and vibes. Super friendly staff as well!
The food was just okay. Not bad, but not good. Service was wonderful and ambiance on the lovely patio was great. I had the lobster salad that had no flavor and the other person in my party had a lobster roll that he wasn't crazy about.
The cattle and claw was great! My friends loved their burgers and fries, the lobster was a bit over done and tasteless, the sauce was amazing for it though! The salad was also very good and the cocktails are on point. If I came back I might try a lobster roll instead. The outdoor patio is absolutely lovely I’d love to come back for brunch!
Great concept, just not executed well! Patio is beautiful but needs more refurbishment. Food wasn’t anything special.
My mother’s birthday! We enjoyed our experience very much! At first we were seated outside but it was too hot so we asked to sit inside. The manager dropped by twice to ask how we were doing and even offered to take a beautiful pic of us outside in their garden.
The food was unremarkable. Filling yet refreshing and light at the same time. Loved the lobster tacos and lobster roll from their dinela menu!
Loved this place! Went during dineLA — their lunch menu was the perfect size. Lobster roll is amazing, lobster tacos were INCREDIBLE, and the burger was very good. Such a cute, picturesque, quaint location — felt like eating in a garden!
We had a great time. Our seats were perfect. Couldn't be happier.
$9 for a SLIDER with cheese is just plain ridiculous. i told the waiter it was being shared between two people...he didnt feel the need to just advise us of getting a regular sized burger for $3 more? instead of ill-advising people in our party to not get the salad for dinela’s first course and instead eat very dry lobster beigets that mostly went uneaten. wouldve also been nice if he informed us of the $2 per sauce fee when he not only suggested one, but two sauces for our fries! on top of that, he had the nerve to imply that ordering one family size order of fries werent enough for 5 of us. did not enjoy this experience, none of us will be back.
Our server was awesome. I’m a lobster fanatic and I have to say the food taste great.
Joined for Dine LA and it was a killer deal. Lobster beignets, lobster roll, and iced tea for $15! The lobster beignets were more like lobster hush puppies as they were very dense and corn based. They were nice, but needed citrus to cut through the heavy dough and rich aioli like sauce. We used the lemons on the glass of our ice tea glass hah and it helped. The lobster roll was delicious, bread perfectly crisp and the mayo based filling creamy but not too heavy (thanks to the dijon). Overall it was a great value and I will be back for the lobster bloody mary. The courtyard was very cute as well with lots of succulents!
Overpriced and not very tasty. One burger was burnt (and ordered medium) and one was VERY rare (and ordered medium rare). Lobster roll had very little flavor. Salad was bland. Lobster Bloody Mary wasn't very cold. Service was slow, despite not being very busy. It just wasn't a great meal all around, especially for the price.
The hostess was quite harsh & a little hostile. We made a reservation, showed up 10 minutes early & told we would have to wait another 30-40 minutes to be seated. Each time we asked her a question, she kind of had an attitude & said she didn’t think so & she’d have to ask her manager. Other than her, the rest of the staff was fantastic & accommodating.
Dining amongst a delightful garden... Quiet an Al fresco experience !
Food and service were great.
Cockrage charges a little too steep but overall fun !
Arrived at 5pm just in time for dinner hours. Was seated immediately and choose whatever table we wanted. Host was engaging and friendly vibe was relaxed. Waiter explained the concept behind the pop up and made helpful recommendations. Food arrived and did not disappoint. Will be making a 2nd visit.
Ordered lobster toast and 5 oz burger. Both came with salad though the menu doesn’t say that. Food was just okay and overpriced.
I have loved the service of this place, and, the reason I have continued to come to this place was an amazing service we have been experiencing in person and on the phone, but today at 9.00am on 05/19/2018 I reserved a table online because my family came to visit me from the NYC, and I wanted to show this amazing place them. However this time around I have experienced such a hard time with my simple reservation, I reserved the table for 6 people, at 11am for brunch and added my special note, that we prefer the table outside. I received a call form Hostess stating that restaurant patio has a private event, so they don’t have a table outside, which is fine, and she asked if I still want a table, I replied that yes, that I still would like to have a table inside. So later on at 9.45 some changes came in and I called the restaurant and since I have already spoken to hostess, I wanted to make modification on my reservation. I am not too sure if I would’ve not call, what would have happened, she was really frustrated I can't say because of my call, but the way she handled the call, she was very impatient and huffing and panting, and seemed to be very stressed out saying that she can give us a table only in a smoking area per my modification at 11.30 for 4 people not in my original reservation, and keep escalating the simple resavation to that point, to cancel. So as per my understanding she has just been told that tables are no longer available inside or outside from 11am till 12pm for 4 people for breakfast or lunch. Therefore she asked if I wanted her to cancel my reservation or I can switch into the smoking area, or my option is to come for dinner, and it was very unclear why she didn’t give this update before my call... so this is not the way to start the early morning on Saturday, but I wish she had a little more positive attitude and handle the phone service in a more pleasant manner. Thank you
My sister was visiting and we took her to Esterel due to the many gluten-free options on their menu. The service was attentive and the food did not disappoint. The chicken soup made with coconut milk was outstanding. The Provencale flatbread was light and delicious. Our son enjoyed his filet mignon, done to perfection as requested. His girlfriend ordered the salmon, which unfortunately had run out, but the server suggested the Tuna Putanesca which she enjoyed. We all indulged in trying the Creme Brulee topped with fresh raspberries which was perfect. We highly recommend this Sofitel-based French bistro.
This was a terrible experience. The manager started stacking chairs while we were eating. Four tables around us we dirty from others who had eaten and left prior to us arriving. The dirty tables were not cleaned off prior to us leaving. Food was cold and almost in edible. Will not return and not worth the 65 per person Easter special.
Literally the worst brunch ever we were so disappointed. The ambiance was amazing but the service and the food were horrible. Starting from when we got there and they told us our table would be ready in a minute. We sat down about five feet from the hostess stand and thirty minutes later I asked her if she thought our table would be ready soon . She actually forgot about us even though we were sitting literally right in front of her. She immediately sat us after I inquired. Then we got our food, Everything was old and dried out. Deviled eggs were turning color and hard, same with all the other items in the eggs area. The salad was just ok. The only thing that was really decent was the dessert unfortunately. We will never be back to eat that is for sure, especially for $200 when we had to go eat on our way home. Huge disappointment...
Easter Brunch was such a disappointment. Food was cold - from the quiche to the salmon and everything in between was bland and tasteless. No effort in creating a special dish, your average buffet that you forget the moment you walk out. Desserts were also basic uninspired cheesecake and cakes.
On a side note - we even found hair on our quiche. Disgusting.
A very underwhelming experience.
Easter Brunch... would not recommend! Horrible set up food was never filled every time went to get something gum on chair that I sat on bus boy as server... called next day to talk with management still waiting for a return phone call going on day 4 when leaving asked the Gentleman at the door how much valet parking was he said oh I’m not sure wait one out asked I thought maybe I asked a customer by accident and said that to him he said no I’m just a doorman I don’t know what the prices are on all pretty inside but would never recommend
Very nice patio and romantic patio !!! Perfect to be outside or a date.
I 'm not a fan of inside dining ( More like hotel style )
Great food and service.
You can also eat at the bar with music
I told them while I was making my reservation on OpenTable that it was date night without expecting anything. It was just a drop down menu, so I did it without thinking. When they confirmed my reservation, they asked if I wanted them to decorate the table, free of charge. I said why not! When we got there, the table was covered in cute little paper hearts. They also brought us free glasses of champagne and sent us home with six chocolates.
