Since 1986, Casanova Italian Restaurant is at the heart of the Upcountry Maui lifestyle. From Sunday brunch right into dinner, you may expect the best Italian food on the island (as voted by countless local magazines’ surveys). Fresh salads, pastas, seafood and pizzas from Maui's first wood burning oven are Casanova's signature dishes. Loyal patrons appreciate Casanova's very reasonable prices. In 2017 Open Table diners rated Casanova the Best Italian Restaurant in the State of Hawaii.
At the main crossroad of Historic Makawao town, Casanova is a must do experience after a visit to Haleakala National Park.

    Cold beers and a Kale Caesar salad, fresh and cold with slot of dressing. Americano pizza was served hot and fresh. The pepperoni and sausage was delicious. Our Bar server is so attentive and friendly.

    Incredible. I turned to my wife at one point in the meal and said, “this isn’t just the best Italian restaurant in Maui… it’s the best in the western US.” Great service. Lily was a fantastic server. Just really good food. Large portions. Quality across the board.

    Kale Caesar was fresh and served cold with lots of dressing. The Chicken Parmesan with side of Pasta was served hot with fresh made pasta and sauce. The Chicken was smothered with cheese and delicious. Our server was very attentive and friendly.

    Our favourite restaurant on Maui. We were celebrating my birthday. Food was outstanding as always. Hot, fresh, flavourful. Like going to Italy without leaving Maui. Staff were so warm and attentive. Restaurant was clean and airy. Can’t wait to dine there again!

    The Filet Fettuccine was served fresh and hot, the pastas the best here. The Kale Caesar salad was served cold with a lot of dressing and a good portion too. Our Bar server was attentive and friendly.

    Colds drinks, fresh aand cold Kale Caesar salad. The special was Lamb shank with Ossobuco, large enough portion for two. Very delicious and served hot. Bar server is friendly and attentive.

    One of my favorite upcountry restaurants to dine in, Casanova Italian Restaurant has never let me down. We started our meal with a couple of beers, which paired perfectly with the basket of focaccia bread, cut into finger food-sized squares, perfect for dipping into the saucer of the olive oil and balsamic vinegar mixture. Our entrées arrived before we knew it, so busy were we emptying out the basket of bread! My eggplant dish was tender and perfectly cooked in a rich, deliciously seasoned red sauce. There was nary a bite left in the serving dish when I finished. Fortunately, there was a bit of bread left with which to scoop up the remaining sauce at the end. My friend had ordered the special of the evening, which consisted of a generous portion of delicate, flaky, mahi mahi (fish), served with whipped potatoes and a variety of colorful vegetables. Not that he’s picky, but he declared his meal to be the best preparation of this particular dish that he’s ordered there before. High praise! With no room left for dessert, we both walked out fully satiated, with big smiles on our faces. Another home run for Casanova Italian Restaurant! 😊 👍
