   While the food was very good and well prepared. There is some service training that needs to be considered. Our server, Dallas, had a difficult time handling multitasks at once. We would start to question the menu, and he would have to leave and go ask the chef instead of listening to all our questions before parting the table. He did not know the menu well enough to help with gluten issues. And we had to ask if there was a GF bread alternative for the table (something he should have offered knowing our restrictions). Also, still wearing a mask and gloves, hello, it’s 2023! Our other server Vedi on the other hand was wonderful and very attentive!! the Burrata appetizer was over priced at $34. Skip that and get the farmers board. Also, they had very few menu items catering to gluten-free, it would be helpful to add some more considering the amount of dietary restrictions in this day and age.

   I had been there for dinner before but this was my first time for breakfast buffet. I was impressed by the selection of the food available on the buffet as well as made to order eggs from the chef’s station. Everything was fresh and hot and very tasty. The service was impeccable, just like last time. It was a lovely breakfast experience.

   Our waiter was Juan Pablo, from Ecuador. He was outstanding, and we enjoyed greatly having him! Absolutely a delight! I don’t recall the name of the sommelier; however, he provided excellent service in opening and decanting a 40 year old bottle of Bordeaux wine in honor of our 40th wedding anniversary.

   We have been to the restaurant in Sorrento a couple of times and it is a life experience. The family always makes you feel at home. Came to St. Louis on a weekend trip and had to see how the family did opening up in the States. It was fantastic! Great service and food and, of course, the home made limoncello.

    By far, the best place I have been for breakfast in the St. Louis area. The atmosphere is comfortable and elegant. The food is truly amazing! It is beautifully decorated. Very pleasant.

    My wife and I went for my birthday dinner, noted on OpenTable reservation. When we arrived there was a signed birthday greeting from the staff. We shared each of the four courses. Started with smoked yellowtail, which may have been our favorite. Followed by tagliatelle, then chicken supreme. We decided to add a lettuce salad, which arrived very quickly, in time to enjoy with our chicken. Each course was excellent, and the portions were large enough for both of us to enjoy.. Our server was Sebastian. He did a great job, stopping by just often enough. We enjoyed learning about his training as a sushi chef! He came by to take our picture, and when our dessert course of espresso tiramisu aarived, our picture was printed onto the top, along with a birthday candle, what a nice touch!

    Our server team was phenomenal and shared the history of the restaurant with us as well as explain the menu. The food was fantastic! A little pricey but the overall experience was definitely worth it. The restaurant is absolutely stunning and I would return in the future!

    If I could have given 10 stars I would have. Juan Pablo was awesome. He made the experience wonderful. All of the staff was so attentive and the food was amazing. My brother and his wife were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary and stated this was one of the best meals they have ever had. From the lobster salad to the Ziti to the lasagna to the gnocchi to the Apple Pizza for desert it was wonderful. Don’t miss this gem of a place.❤️

    The service was dismal. I had to keep flagging someone down to get our ordered wine with the mains or everything tbh. The food was pretty bland. Meatballs were wet and barely held together. The halibut in a plastic bag was forgettable. Just acidic vegetables and halibut in a sous vide bag. The manhattan cocktail was very good and the selection of wines by the glass was good as well. For the price point, this is not worth your time. Two people: $250 with tip. There is much, much better food in St Louis for a lot less. For this price, I expect competent service but didn’t get that.

    Amazing! What a special place for an anniversary dinner. From the moment we walked into the restaurant we were greeted with open arms. It was like walking into a friend’s house. Our wait staff was incredibly helpful, the manager Maranda was very sweet, but the ambiance and food are what set this place apart. The menu isn’t extensive but it’s just about perfect. Everyone will find something to try, and I hope it’s the lasagna or the gnocchi. Best lasagna I’ve ever had & while I’m not a big gnocchi fan, this dish would change my mind. We also had the eggplant parmigiana appetizer and it has made me a fan! The cocktails are well worth the splurge. I feel confident that you won’t be disappointed when you visit Casa Don Alfonso.

    Our server, Heather was friendly, but overall offered poor service in our dining experience. It would benefit her to increase her awareness and responsiveness to guests and to learn to pay attention to the details at her guests tables. We have dined here on several other occasions and this time it was quite disappointing. Both our main courses were beautiful in presentation and lacked flavor, which added to the overall poor experience at Casa Don Alfonso.

    What a pleasant surprise the interior is absolutely beautiful. Pizzas were brick oven definitely gourmet style excellent. The pasta with shrimp. Bisque sauce was outstanding. Good service. Great management will be back.

    Got married that day. The portion sizes are very small. Everything else was great, but menu needs to be redone. There is no wow factor with the menu. This is the typical go get a burger afterwards because you are still hungry

    It was excellent! The espresso martinis were amazing. We had the caprese salad, grilled octopus, bell pepper pizza and the lasagne. Each thing was delicious and cooked perfectly. The server and her assistant were also both great.

    I was excited to try this restaurant for brunch, having heard a lot of publicity around it. Unfortunately, I was not impressed.     It was amazing. It was my sons birthday who has all but allergies but the chef made what he wanted which was out of the menu and they took good care of us. The owner stopped by at our table to make sure we are happy and we saw him checking on other tables too. A great place with focus on customer.
