Enjoy a wonderful dining experience with family or friends at Carelli's. Owner Greg Carelli with help from his father Gene wanted to offer guests authentic Italian cuisine in a contemporary setting that features a large open flame fireplace, mosaic tiles, natural Birch woods, and warm lighting. An appetizer of fresh mozzarella and Beefsteak tomato caprese, lightly breaded calamari or lamb artichoke meatballs will please the palate at Carelli's. Guests can dine on baked jumbo shells stuffed with spinach and ricotta , the classic chicken parmigiana or shrimp scampi. Artisanal pizza, calzones, and paninis. Awsome Gluten-free options are also available.

Carelli's was the winner of the Daily Camera Reader's Choice 2002-2020 award for Best Italian Restaurant and ambiance. It also has won awards from the Denver Post and Boulder Weekly magazines. It has an awesome bar scene and an extensive wine list. Carelli's restaurant features daily fresh fish specials.

Nice decor. Very busy/popular on Friday night. The young woman at the desk handled it all with courtesy and grace. But the service after that was terrible. I took a friend here for her birthday: after being seated in basically our servers path to his section (highly visible table) we felt absolutely ignored having to ask for a gf menu twice, for the bread that came with her entree, grated parm cheese for pasta and water refills. Don’t know why they confirmed we were there for a birthday twice; at front and at table because nothing was done??? We got our bill with no thank you- just plopped it on the table. We were there to eat lightly which meant no appetizers and we don’t drink alcohol. Perhaps this read “no big tip”? I have never been treated so poorly in a restaurant and I felt terrible choosing this place to take my friend. In the end the quality of the food didn’t matter at all because we left just angry.

Absolutely one of the best. Everything about this restaurant is top notch -- the food, the service, and the friendly and supremely professional and knowledgeable staff. You feel welcome and valued. The food is always and consistently well cooked, attractive and plentiful. The servers are very accommodating and, in our case last night, Alyssa went out of her way to find a sauce that would work for a panini when the one that came with it conflicted my nephew's desire. It is very clear that the owner is on top of every detail of the experience.

Terrific service and food and beverages, the bolognese was a bit watery, first time I have seen it here. Otherwise a great place!

Energetic feel to the restaurant and quick service at the bar. Our food was delicious and the wait staff was attentive but not pushy. I highly recommend this restaurant.

It was supposed to be a birthday celebration for dessert and requested it .. nothing was presented .. so, it doesn’t matter if you indicate a special occasion when you request a table and time .. just an fyi ..

We listed “anniversary” as our occasion on the reservation but I don’t think this was passed on, no acknowledgment from staff. Good experience though.
