Hotel du Vin Wimbledon is a 19th Century house that we’ve made sure still holds its individual character and historic charm. Sensitively refurbished, its former glory shines on, its distinctive setting has hosted the likes of Lord Tennyson, Oscar Wilde and even the last Maharajah of Punjab.
Cannizaro House is located within 34 acres of Cannizaro Park and adjacent to Wimbledon Common. Aside from nearby boutique shopping and extensive parkland, the hotel sits close to the All England Club, the home of tennis, which for a fortnight each year hosts the Wimbledon Tennis Championships, attracting interest and personalities from around the world.

Very pleasant birthday lunch with a friend, food was from the daily set menu and excellent. Squid and Chicken salad were very good portions and well worth the cost. Service was excellent and attentive; will happily take my wife next time!

Gorgeous food and waiting staff were very attentive and happy to help with access for my elderly Mum who is in a wheelchair. So nice to be in a restaurant where you can have a conversation without having to shout at each other! Had a wonderfully enjoyable afternoon.

I hoped it would have improved but sadly no. Service diabolical, had to attract attention for everything. Drinks, wine, bread to order our food everything - we had to try and attract someone. Staff seemed clueless, they did not understand our requests, Waitresses very poor English. We had to get up to pour our own wine. Ask for the bread left on the side, ask to place our food order, ask for more drinks, ask for desserts. Really spoilt our evening as constantly looking for staff and not conversing with othes. This was a special birthday for my elderly mother we went last year as it's a good place to meet for family, easy parking. Seems worse now it's Hotel du vin.

Came for an afternoon tea; where the food was delicious but the service was very poor! We had to call for service, wait a while for things, and were given our desserts wrapped in tin foil which ruined some of them as it squashed them. The atmosphere was nice and the scenery was lovely. Overall a pleasant experience. Just thought the value would come with a better service.

Despite being taken over by Hotel du Vin, the slow disinterested service has not improved. During covid they set up a pizza van outside in the rear which delivered delicious pizza to eat in the beautiful grounds of Cannizzaro - great for that, avoid going in… The glassed in conservatory is such a lovely location it is such a shame they just can’t get it right here….

Lovely food in a magnificent setting, but with eye wateringly poor service. On arrival we were told we had booked for the wrong evening, only to then be told - when we provided the confirmation email - that this was an error on their part. The service staff seemed to be at sixes and sevens, asking half the table for drinks orders, remembering some and not others, bringing food for other tables to us and vice versa. This might have been understandable had the venue been busy, but it wasn't. This is a shame as the food was nice, but in a premium venue with premium prices, the side was let down very badly. Unlikely to return.

The food was so dreadful we had to send it back..over cooked and cold. Cold plates...basic! Such a shame as the staff are nice and the setting lovely. They need to address their kitchen/chef as it was truly awful
