The food served at Candor is delicious and served by pleasant and knowledgeable servers. I ordered a plate of vegetables served on yogurt and the fresh catch of the day (halibut). It was cooked perfectly and very tasty.

Food was exceptional as usual and ambiance and service were outstanding and maintaining a very high standard! This is my favorite La Jolla restaurant.

We had an amazing experience! Our server was over the top, friendly and full of information and made our dining even that much better! Our food was fantastic! As always! The short ribs are life-changing delicious!

I'm still dreaming about the Marinated Shrimp al Ajillo and the Papas Bravas. My party of three all wanted to drink the shrimp sauce straight. My Braised Beef Short Ribs with Zinfandel demi glace was the best I've ever had, and I'm a short ribs devotee. Cute space and excellent service. You won't be disappointed.

I chose this restaurant for my family because open table said there is happy hour on Saturdays until 5:30. However when we got there, the menus all said happy hour was only during the weekdays. I showed the server the happy hour sign on open table saying Saturdays but he just said that’s wrong and then didn’t offer any kind of compensation to honor the mistake. I ended up just tipping less to make up for the amount we would have saved - which really wasn’t fair to our server because his service was great. We will not return in the future - I prefer restaurants that honor their featured deals and information.
