   We were so very well taken care of! We enjoyed a trio of amazing drinks from our skilled bartender. Then Elani kindly escorted us to our table. Finally, J brought us a lineup of the most amazing food from the kitchen - oysters, creamy spring pea soup, popovers, cod, chicken, and carrots. Everything was beautifully presented and delicious. We’ll be back,

   Loved the decor, vibe, and atmosphere. We had: ENGLISH MEAT PIE* -- tender braised meat & vegetable filling, whipped potatoes, gravy. *The meat changes, so find out what they are offering. I had lamb, and it was fantastic. This is a pretty sizable portion, I couldn't eat it all. 1855 NEW YORK STEAK -- spring onion puree, carrot & English cheddar rosti, fava beans, green garlic butter. Good. Dinners come with individual Yorkshire Pudding to start (this is a "popover" in USA-speak) along with a ramekin of butter. Very tasty. Decent sized. Cocktails: Pimm's Cup -- House-made Pimm's, ginger, cucumber, lemon, mint, soda. Very good! Daisy* -- Tahoe Blue vodka, lemon, lavender, bubbles. *Apparently this is only on the Happy Hour menu, though we were seated, and we ordered before the 6pm Happy Hour cutoff, we were told Happy Hour was over, and we would not get the Happy Hour price. This was LAME, because this drink is small and we had to pay full price for it. That being said, the drink is good. Definitely would go again. Definitely would recommend.

   We dined on the patio and had a lovely time. The sausage rolls were delicious and the Ahi in my salad was some of the best I have had. My husband’s English Dip Sandwich was excellent as well. The service was very good and we never felt rushed during our lunch.

   We’ve always liked this spot and its vibe, which is why the latest visit was so disappointing. The pasta dish seemed undercooked and the server’s only response was “that’s how the chef makes it.” Given the prices here, it felt a bit dismissive.

   Wow what a nice experience! Lots of good choices on the menu. The food was delicious and the service was both friendly and efficient!

   Booked this restaurant for a birthday dinner. Service both at the bar and patio table was excellent. Free round of Cava for the table. Patio was perfect for conversation.

    Outstanding first experience! Every detail regarding food, service, and ambiance were amazing. Brooke, our server, was informative and relaxed. This establishment lives up to its accolades! Can’t wait to come back!
