   Food is always good here. Service was extremely slow, which is unusual. It took over an hour to get our entrees and we were there for lunch from work, not good! This restaurant prides itself on high quality food and sophisticated presentation. They served my beet salad in a cereal bowl! We laughed when we saw it. When we could finally get our waiter to come to our table, we sent it right back. Magically it returned on a plate with beautiful presentation as always. Weirdest thing ever.

   My wife and I habitually stop at Zinc on our way to and from Detroit. We have never been disappointed! The food is out of this world, and we have never had a bad meal, from Breakfast to dinner. I wish I lived in Midland!

   We absolutely loved cafe zinc for our anniversary dinner. They were so hospitable and wrote a sweet message on our dessert plate. Lovely atmosphere. Excellent service and stunning food. Can’t wait to go back!

   Food was fantastic! This was our first time eating there and the service and staff were great. Jaymason was very attentive to what we needed and our food was out timely, fresh and was so good! One of the best meals we have had!

    The food was very good and the server was very attentive. We bought some of this baked goods and deserts back to the hotel and we enjoyed both. This the best dining experience in Midland I have ever had. Highly recommend it.

    Overall our Valentines Dinner at Cafe Zinc was very nice. Food was very good, staff and service were excellent. My only negative is, for the money, the menu was lacking just a tad. And if I'm going to spend close to $200 for 2 people just for soup, entre and dessert...I need that dessert to be a real full size slice of Cheesecake or slice of chocolate flourless torte. Not a mini dessert I had to get up and go choose out of a glass case.

    Great food. Appetizers were nice—we shared the lettuce wraps. My wife enjoyed her crab salad and I adored the seared scallops. A nice bonus was that my wife has Celiac disease and a severe gluten allergy—many dished are GF, and they even had a gluten-free bread service for her. Quiet place, delicious food in a relaxed setting.

    My husband says you have ruined him for New York Strip any other place. The house salad was huge. Staff were very attentive.

    I like Zinc but some of my family does not because the hostess seems always in a bad news and some of the waitresses avoid eye contact so that even a second cup of coffee is sometimes hard to get and forget about a third!

    Great place for a Sunday brunch! My only downside was it got a bit noisy. All the hard surfaces didn't absorb any of the sounds. But this would not stop a return visit.

    We sat near the fireplace. Cozy and quiet. Our server was attentive, but not intrusive. The salmon with risotto was nice as was the sea bass.

    I’ve been a long time customer of Cafe Zinc. It has always been an exceptional dining experience. As a person who travels extensively; I’ve found Cafe Zinc to be on par with many of the fine dining restaurants I have frequented around the world. When entertaining family or business associates I’ve always suggested Cafe Zinc based on the exceptional service and quality of the food. However, over the past year, I’ve experienced the quality of food and service progressively decline. At first it was obvious that Covid was the culprit for this decline but since there’s been little improvement and more decline. It’s the continued poor experiences that I’m now less enthusiastic about this once great gem in downtown Midland. It’s my hope that ship can be righted soon. I miss it.

    Great service by Alyson! Mushroom gnocchi and chicken were amazing. Great views of the North Star Express as we're dining. Beautiful restaurant.

    Not a good experience. Had reservation. Only table at 5.15 pm. We were seated by the door with a cold draft. Asked to be moved and were told no. Our meal was subpar. Extremely small portion. No consistency from previous visits. Service was not good. Dishes were not cleared for 20 minutes after meal was finished. Hostess did nothing to help server. Took another 20 minutes to get checks. Sad that food quality and service has declined to this degree. Won’t return after dining for years.
