Cafe Zinc Ratings and Reviews
Brunch was great. I had the Croque Madame which although good, wasn't as good as his Carmalized Pears, candied pecans, Carmel over French Toast with spiced whipped cream. We enjoyed a scone and pastry with coffee while waiting for breakfast, both were very good. As always the serve was exceptional.
The Restaraunt was lovely. We had outdoor seating. They did a play on their name: Ca Fe Z the elements. The drinks were amazing. We started of with their palm frites-delicious (be prepared, there's a lot to eat and they're addictive). then we had their beet salad with salmon. The chef really knows how to blend flavors and textures. And finally for dessert I chose the chocolate hazelnut mouse cake. OMG it was melt in your mouth. Yum.
We traveled from St. Clair Shores to celebrate my sister's birthday. She is a long time Midland resident. Cafe Zinc has become our special celebration spot even though we have stopped in for lunch or just tea and sweets. Food is great, service is always perfect and the atmosphere makes it all the better!
Had a great dinner here. The service was outstanding, with knowledgeable and likeable staff. The room was very pleasant, and there is outside seating on the patio as well, which we enjoyed for breakfast the following day. Wide range of cocktails, nice selections of wine by the glass. The grilled peach with burrata, arugula and prosciutto salad with tangy balsamic dressing was very good, as were the scallops with pea shoots and risotto and smoky bacon bits. The dessert case and bakery options looked amazing as well, but that will have to wait until our next visit.
Well this was a wonderful find, while working in Midland. What a great meal & such a good "spot." We dined inside, even though the outside looked wonderful. The inside decor is very nice. Service was spot on, and the food was very good. Thanks for a memorable evening!
We've been going to Cafe Zinc for the past few years and always have a great meal and a great time. We got to the restaurant earlier than our reservation this time, so stopped in the bar for a drink ahead of time. Good selection of cocktails, fun bartenders and nice place to unwind. As always the meal was excellent and the menu has a good selection of regular items and specials. Service was very attentive.
We always enjoy Zinc. Love the menu. We were there for lunch this time with visiting friends. Bob had a drink, the Martosa. He said it was great! My Ruben was fabulous. Bob's Pork Belly BLT, although the flavor a we're wonderful, was difficult to eat gracefully, as it was open face and hard to cut without making a mess. We shared these so we could try them both. The accompanying side salad were wonderful and of generous size. Our friends had the French Onion soup (one of our favorites), the chopped salad and quesadilla... they loved everything.
