   We arranged an informal business meeting for a late lunch. The setting was perfect and the staff attentive but not over bearing. Very impressed and good value.

   Very disappointing. I have been a regular Cafe Rouge customer over the years. This was the first time I had been to the Victoria branch, which I chose as a central meeting place for a group of friends. It was cold, noisy and the service was non-existent; We waited over an hour for our food after ordering and did not even receive an apology. Best to close it down as it lets the other restaurants down very badly.

   We needed to have a business meeting in London and this restaurant is very convenient to Victoria Station. The service was very slow, which suited us fine as we were discussing business, but could have been disastrous had we been in a hurry. There were a lot of groups eating, because it is Christmas of course, which probably slowed it down. When the food came, it was fresh and hot and very good value for money.

   Good food and great service which made for a lovely family event: the only criticism was that there was no real relief from a pretty warm day, and the two small babies in our party suffered accordingly - better ventilation or aircon would have been helpful.

   This was a good pick just after seeing Wicked at the Apollo just over the road. A tasty menu which is uncomplicated and has something for everyone. Good service and they made me a Kir Royale even though it was not on the menu! Be aware that there is a lot of building work around the bus and train station right now so best to walk through the station concourse to get to the restaurant.
