Café Napoli is a family owned restaurant, established in 1989 by Tony and Kathy Pietoso. Quickly becoming a success, they moved the small basement restaurant to a larger location at the corner of Forsyth and Bemiston in the heart of Clayton. In 2003, sons Ande and Kye expanded their family restaurant by adding Bar Napoli, a swank cocktail lounge. A few years later, Napoli Reserve was added onto Bar Napoli allowing for private event space and an additional bar and lounge for the weekends. After years of a flourishing business, Kathy and Tony decided to take their ventures West to Town and Country where they opened their second location, Napoli2, managed by Ande. Kye has taken the reigns from his father and is now the front man for the 8,000 square foot establishment in Clayton. Café Napoli and Bar Napoli have recently undergone a face lift inside and out. Inside the kitchen, Executive Chef from Napoli2 Jon Berger was recently added to the team, bringing fresh ideas and innovation to the regional Italian specialties.

    An exquisite meal from start to finish. Everything was perfectly prepared and delicious. Their fish isn't to be missed. The halibut was sensational as was the hot crab dip. But that chocolate bread pudding should be illegal. Kudos to the entire staff for excellent service. It's been years since we visited but it won't be years before we return

    We arrived at 6 pm and got a table near the window--so not in the middle of the restaurant. It was quiet enough to carry on a conversation--until about 6:30 when the place filled up and the noise level was really high. I like the food and service in this restaurant but the difficulty in hearing what others at your table are saying is really off-putting.

    The food here is always excellent. The ambiance is elegant but not stuffy . What really sets Care Napoli apart is it’s amazing, friendly staff. Andrea is the best manager/host I have ever encountered. He keeps this place running smoothly and makes each experience wonderful for the guests. Taylor is a friendly, gorgeous hostess who always makes you feel welcome. Brian is a top notch server who remembers repeat costumers orders and has everyone’s meal to the table at the same time. Linsey is perfect bartender. Expert mixologist who keeps you laughing. My friends and I are regulars because of how truly great the staff is.

    I loved Cafe Napoli! We had the crab dip with crostini, a salad, lamb chops, and the halibut. Everything was perfect! Our cocktails were perfect as well. We sat outside on a beautiful night in November, imagine that! Spencer was an amazing server!

    My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary and this restaurant didn’t disappoint. The food was perfect, the drinks were perfect and the service was amazing. This restaurant made our day special. I highly recommend it.

    The vibes here are great! It gets busy but the service stays consistent and good even when they are busy. The good was great and the service was great as well. We had the sea bass special, truffle fries, and the seafood platter! I had not been in so long and it reminds me that I have to visit again soon!

    I've ordered Cioppino all over the world, and received luscious seafood stew with gorgeous pieces of fish, clams, crabs in tomato base . At this restaurant it looks like baby food, comes flat and unadorned in a soup bowl, with small unrecognizable chunks of something in tomato base. I was too shocked to say anything and didn't want to ruin the evening for our guests, who liked what they ordered. Atmosphere polished. Won't be going back soon

    Thank you for your review. You are correct about Cioppino typically being a main course with large pieces of seafood. For 35 years we have always offered it as a small bowl, hence the 13.00 price tag on the menu. If this is on a menu for a main course it would be in the 50.00 range. We could always do it as a main course with the seafood you described if you ask.

    They had a wide range of options that were “off the menu” that the waiter went over when I first arrived. Highly recommend the baked crab dip if they still have it when you go! The service was incredible. Definitely going to be back next time I’m in town!

    Very nice dinner and evening overall. First of all, ask for Derek! He is the best and will take great care of you. Excellent service! ⭐️ My husband had the bone-in filet, and I had the chicken piccata. Both were excellent. We are looking forward to our next trip to Clayton, and it will most definitely include dinner at Cafe Napoli.

    For the first time, we got a less than stellar meal. The salad was flavorless, my chicken dish was much too lemony for my taste, my husband's side spinach had no hint of garlic and the server(as great as she was) forgot to put in my to go order. She tried to compensate with the bread pudding but didn't explain that it was chocolate. I took one bite at home and had to throw it away. I will definitely go again because I love the place! I expect off nights everywhere. I guess this was theirs.

    Our waiter, Tdi, was excellent. It took over an hour to receive our entrees. Two of us ordered the halibut special but I must say it was a little bland and way too long to wait for an entree.

    My girlfriend and I made a late one year anniversary reservation at Napoli, and we were astounded by the service given to us by I believe his name was Adi. His overall care and knowledge of the menu was excellent. He talked me into getting the delicious surf and turf that evening and also gave us a delicious anniversary crème brûlée to finish the night. I will be asking for Adi every time I go.
