Situated in the Haymarket Hotel, Brumus offers glamorous brasserie style dining and serves sophisticated cocktails in the chic and cosmopolitan Brumus bar. Afternoon Tea can be taken in the restaurant or the unique hotel conservatory all day. Afternoon Tea embraces creative sweet and savoury treats that join an impressive selection of speciality teas and infusions. Brumus has a strong emphasis upon using seasonal and locally sourced ingredients. Regularly changing highlights include Asparagus, Parmesan cream with a crispy poached egg; Pan fried red mullet, fennel, parsley and bergamot beurre blanc; and passion fruit and mango baked Alaska

Brumus offers Restaurant Seating, Bar Seating and our new outdoor terrace adjacent to the theatres. In times of inclement weather, we will move reservations in to our indoor areas.

Hey OpenTable I am pleased to see you have this booking confirmed because when we got to the restaurant they had no idea who we were, despite me having email confirmation with me As they were fully booked this was an interesting challenge. Overall this spoilt what was supposed to be a special evening and to be honest despite their best attempts to seat us in a corner of the restaurant it all became a bit of a disappointment. Hard to fault the staff but something is seriously wrong with your systems and despite some platitudes from the restaurant I struggle to recommend the experience

They managed to lose our OpenTable reservation but fit us in anyway once I had shown them my email confirmation. What followed was possibly the worst service I have ever experienced. We were completely left and forgotten about, took around 30 minutes to have our drinks order taken. Constantly had to flag down servers, which seemed to routinely change. Food itself was excellent but the service led to a terrible experience overall. We were in there 3 hours, not because we were slow at eating, but due to the slow service.

My friend and I had the set menu and were not disappointed. We both chose the same: Smoked trout parfait, Sea Bass with sides of frites, and roasted root vegetable follwed by the Treacle tart with sauce and ice cream. The portions were all of a good size and were all very delicious. The waiters were cheery and friendly. Amor was our main waiter and was charming. We left with full stomachs and were very happy with everything. We both would have no hesitation to return here again. Go on, try it!

Our party of five chose from the pre theatre menu We all had two courses and were all very happy with our choices. Very good value for money. Our first choice of wine was not available, but the second choice was satisfactory. Service was friendly if a little slow, but understandable to a point given the pre theatre rush. Lovely ambience. We will definitely return.

Delicious food served by friendly and efficient staff. Venison was extremely good - perfectly cooked and tender. Great wine recommendation by maitre d.

I went for a Pre-Theatre Meal with one 'Girl' friend on a Wed Eve for my Birthday. The Decor (even in the loos !), Ambience & Service were all outstanding. The Food was delicious. The 'Sides' (which you do have to have with the 'Fixed 2 or 3 Courses), are a little expensive and my green beans weren't particularly tastey or warm. Our Chips & Carrots were fine. My Moules were a very generous portion as was my delicious Starter Soup. They also gave me a lovely B'day complimentary Dessert (+ candle !) which was much appreciated. I will certainly return to Brumus, probably with a larger party of people. Overall it was a lovely occasion and experience on my Birthday and both of us enjoyed it !
