We love the food and service and will return for many more occasions. The noise level at times is distracting and makes it difficult to have table conversations.
Very nice place to eat. No complaints about anything.
Excellent food and excellent service. Very noisy but still one of our favorite restaurants.
Hailey was a wonderful server! Worked with us with food sensitivities and when our steak wasn't cooked right!
Food was excellent, we love the Bristol, service was average this time.
I wouldn’t call the noise level energetic but the word “Loud” it was loud. I’m glad I made a reservation. I haven’t been there since New Years Day dinner and it was much quieter.
A bit chaotic checking in and a wait even with a reservation but nonetheless, delicious food and our server kaile was wonderful.
Too noisy. Food good but service was spotty
Initial service was good and quick. But slowed down and service was delayed
The server had too many tables with a large group of +20 people. Our order was wrong! Lobster bisque was not ordered then placed after the fact. Therefore, the steak and lobster bisque came at the same time which is not ideal at all.
Hands down! Best meal I have ever had! Almost an overstimulation of flavor if such a thing is possible. Bristol is one of those experiences that you will think about constantly until you can visit again.
Good food as usual!
Service was extremely slow and we did not receive
Had a reservation and someone with same name as mine came in and they gave away my table. We had to wait until a table was found.
Hostess advised us at 7pm of 45 min wait after saying we didn’t have a reservation, we stepped outside and made a reservation time for 7:15 - many table were open. When we returned to the hostess stand - we witnessed host quote couple in front of us 10 mins. Our server was forgetful on some items overall - food was good. They also Carried Eagle Rare Which was a nice Whiskey bonus.
We had a group of 7 reserved in the bar for Sunday at 5pm for dinner and drinks.
Menu clearly stated that on Sundays all bottles of wine were half off under $100 and 25% off on bottles over $100...And the waitress told us it was happy hour for cocktails as well.
When trying to order some wine, We were then told it was only a very specific group of wines that are half price and were brought a much smaller list to choose from...
After choosing a couple bottles from the small list to start.. We were then told that those bottles were not available at half off along with the ones on the regular menu, AND that it was not happy hour prices on cocktails either!
We were charged full price for all of our food and drinks!
Please don't lure people in with false advertising!
Would definitely like an explanation🤔
Lobster was extremely over cooked - rubbery. Risotto was undercooked.
Very good experience overall. Well worth your time and money.
Food was not outstanding. Service great. But worth going just for the biscuits.
My husband and I went there to enjoy our anniversary. It is our one big splurge of the year and we are a bit disappointed. The ambiance was good, but my steak was cold in the middle- but did taste good until I got to the center and the potatoes came out cold. The biscuits were good, however I had to ask for plain butter and when it did come, it was cold and hard and I could not spread it on the biscuit. My husbands dinner was great. He had the steak and lobster and was very happy. His creamy potatoes came out steaming hot and everything was good. They did try to make up for the cold food with a dessert, which we already had, and I thanked them for that opportunity. They did offer some biscuits to go, since they were so good and they also gave me some creamy mashed potatoes to go. So, issues did happen, however they did try to fix them and I thank them for that.
Excellent customer service from the staff! They made my husbands birthday dinner great!
We sat outside and the traffic was very loud with motorcycles and car engines back firing and music blaring from cars. The food was spectacular! The service was ok. We asked for a few things that weren’t brought but it was ok. We had to ask another server for water as our glasses were all empty and our server wasn’t on top of things!! It didn’t ruin the night, just not the typical Bristol experience!
Food, service and outdoor dining was excellent. Loved the patio, but one word of warning. If you have any back problems, sit inside. The seats outdoors (of them are the same) were horrible. This place is outstanding so that is my overall rating, but those chairs did put a damper on the total experience for us.
Great service, food was great, I wish there were a few more menu options like a chicken or pasta dish.
Fantastic Food!!!!! Unfortunately incredibly unprofessional staff. Was interrogated about whether or not an ID was real or fake by a rude hostess who didn't know what she was talking about or what she was doing (called out my date questioning her on DOB etc in the middle of the restauraunt). Waited around for 15 minutes without being served an appetizer or the drinks we ordered before they returned to our table with an additional host and two security guards to check the ID, and finally determine that it was legitimate.
I never mind folks needing to confirm that an ID is legit, I get that. But the lack of professionalism in doing so and the unnecessary attention that was drawn to our table because of this was incredibly disappointing and not what we expected. Unfortunately, good food is everywhere, the service and atmosphere is what makes a place worth going back to. Never got so much as an apology from the staff.
We are visiting Kansas City for a wedding and we’re delighted to find The Bristol and to make a reservation. The Bristol was able to honor our request for outdoor dining on their lovely patio. Our server, Haley, was personable, knowledgeable about the menu and attentive to allergies. Our meals were delicious. Highly recommend this place!
Great food and service. We’ll definitely be back!
Michelle was an AMAZING server who was knowledgeable about the menu as well as the area. Food and drinks were spectacular. Exactly what we want in a romantic date night.
We went to celebrate my birthday. The experience was amazing…from the time we walked in to the time we left.
Very nice venue, food was good. Raw oysters were embarrassing small.
Gabriel was awesome
Food was delicious and our server outstanding with a great personality! Great experience!
Food was not worth the price, horrible service and the staff acted as if they had more people that would eat there and we were just dollar amounts.
Bristol had a great selection of seafood And drinks. The atmosphere was great as well as the service.
Great seafood and wine list, though waited 5 minutes after the entree for the bottle; request a table near the open kitchen to avoid all the tv screens; pricey
Really great food and service. We’d recommend this restaurant when in KC and will go back next time we visit. The only complaint would be the music in the restaurant..we arrived early (5pm) and loud, pop music was playing. A subtle mix of ‘classy’ smooth music would have made the atmosphere perfect.
Very pleasant dining experience Server was terrific.
Had dinner on a Sunday at 5:15. Horrible service. Shocking considering there were only two other parties in the ENTIRE restaurant, each with only 3 people. Took over 20 minutes to get four drinks, three of which were wrong. Not surprised as our waiter would not write anything down. Waiter was also very unenthused, did not say more than the standard “what do you want to order”, acted put out by our being there. You would think a restaurant where the average entree is $45, it would have a level of service to match. I’m guessing that’s why the place was empty? I ordered three oysters to start with. When I got my dish there were only two oysters and an empty shell! How that happened is beyond me. Also, my party was seating right next to the hostess stand. The two hostess were very loud and disruptive, talking about their night out and using profanity. Will not be back.
Haley, a new server, was great. Personable and accommodating. Lobster cobb was excellent, as was the char crusted tuna. Fabulous piece of tuna. But the kitchen doesn't seem to follow thru on the small things. Foyot sauce for the tuna was almost non-existent. What little there was, was mostly on the beans. And the haricot verts with scallions and pecans didn't have a single pecan. It was like the roasted potatoes were out of different batches. A few tough, chewy an cold. The others were hot and fresh. Go figure.
By not executing on the small things, they made dinner simply "very good", when it could have been excellent!
Great food, good servers, and a wonderful atmosphere for dare night!
