The food and service as well as the atmosphere of the restaurant were all superb!
Loved the food and atmosphere. We were there for a friend’s birthday. Darrell was our server and he did an excellent job. He made great suggestions I ordered redfish in the half shell as Darrell suggested. It was one of the best redfish dishes I’ve ever had.
It was our first time at Briquette and everything was great! We choose Briqutte due to Lent Fridays and they have great opinions for seafood! We each ordered an entree which doesn't happen often but we order the whole redfish to share and it was so good!! Definitely recommend Briquette!
As always the food was outstanding. Try the Napoleon crab cakes.
The red fish was excellent.
Everyone had a different dessert they all were great.
Can’t beat the service.
A very pleasant dining experience! We will definitely visit there again.
The restaurant was very nice,Elizabeth was a awesome waitress, very attentive and friendly. The food was good and the lobster bisque was awesome.
I had been wanting to try Briquette for quite some time and finally got to go last Friday. The ambiance was great for our double date, and our server was fantastic. The food was pretty good, but we did have a few issues. My fish was battered, and the description mentioned nothing about batter; my friend ordered a sidecar and received a drink that was more like a margarita. I'd definitely try it again and just ask a few more questions before ordering.
Great food, great menu and restaurant. However, our waiter was very interruptive and rushed us to order our food and drinks. We had to keep telling him to give us a few more minutes but kept coming back in seconds. ***
The server didn’t bring the appetizers at the same time, we both ordered a cup of gumbo and wanted to split the crab cakes, which were very good, but by the time I received my gumbo the appetizer we were splitting was done. Entrees, same deal. Waitress brought back a rare steak for my guest instead of the medium well that she ordered, but we didn’t noticed until a fourth of the way through the course. So the waitress takes it back and now I have my entree while my guest is sitting waiting for her food to return.
This was my third time at restaurant and each experience before was amazing but this time was a completely let down on Valentine’s Day.
Everything was delicious. Great place for a date night. We thought we were ordering prime rib though and turned out to be prime ribeye which I’ve never even heard of. Great cocktails and service though.
Appetizers were fine, main course was fine, service fine. But the dessert... DO NOT ORDER THE BANANAS FOSTER DESSERT IF YOU VALUE YOUR TASTE BUDS. They need to remove this item from the menu. I’d really like for a manager or someone to actually eat this dish. Burnt plantains, burnt sauce, oversaturated with rum. If I can stop at least one person from ordering this, I’ll feel like I’ve done my due diligence as a citizen.
Had a great valentines with friends. The owner made a table visit and it was a fabulous experience. I’ve been here twice and I will definitely return.
The service was very good
They were out of Halibut which is why we went — we had been one time before and wife loved the halibut and wanted again
She ordered another fish - I think red fish and she enjoyed
We had a very nice time. We had to wait 30 mins even with a reservation. Once seated we still waited 20 before our waiter showed up to give water and greet. Hostess took our order and then it was wrong. But food and ambience made up for service and still made for a special time.
We booked this restaurant 5 hours in advance and ended up waiting an additional hour in this restaurant before being sat. In addition to being seated, we didn’t hear from our server for 10 mins. COVID aside, this restaurant was not a packed house by any means. Several seats were open. Very dissatisfied.
The restaurant is near the Harrah casino in a nice area in New Orleans far from the "Bourbon Street" influence. The food was excellent. We made a reservation and that's a very good idea. With COVID's restrictions, finding a restaurant the weekend before the Mardi Gras was a "miracle." This is one place worth going to. Our waiter was a bit overwhelmed and had difficulty handling the load. He needs to get it together. He did have a great gesture to reduce our check due to his mishaps.
Made reservations in advance. Arrived to find that there was a "wine party" happening in the main restaurant area. Social distancing not enforced - tables were right next to each other. Many patrons unmasked and dozens of.party attendees already there. We paid for our drinks and left as it felt.unsafe and uncomfortable. Was excited as we had never been before but we didn't eat anything. Won't be back!
This restaurant is made only for that special person or people in your life.
Fantastic time as usual at Briquette. Food was great. Service was great. Our favorite place in New Orleans for dining. Plus you can get a groupon for them.
The food was delicious! The scallops on fried goat cheese grits was an appetizer I will have to have again! The redfish and the trout were both delicious dishes. The only issue my wife had was that the trout almandine was misleading because it was in the “off the grill” section of the menu but there was nothing on her plate that was grilled. While it was deliciously breaded, it was definitely not grilled.
The setting was nice but the main dish was bland and not paired well and the soup was salty.
The restaurant is large and spacious - easy to do indoor social distancing. The menu is diverse and creative - a lot of seafood choices, but also other options for non-seafood lovers. The server was knowledgeable about the wine list and the menu. She was attentive but not overly so.
The food was amazing and the portions were way larger than expected. You really get your money’s worth.
Absolutely love this restaurant. I will return, as this was not my first time. Price is a bit much for quantity of food but quality of food makes it worth it.
We made a reservation for 2:15, but the restaurant didn’t open until 3. So we had to wait 45 mins to sit. Other than that, everything was perfect! We will be back!
My husband and I really enjoyed this place!! Lots of cocktail and wine choices. Crab bisque was amazing... I would come back just for this. And we both had fish dishes that were very good. At first I was concerned because the menu posted on Open Table seemed very limited. But once we got there the menu had lots of choices.
Amazing strawberry vodka gimlets. Delicious appetizers of goat cheese crepes & crab, scallops & grits. Main courses were red snapper in a crab sauce and redfish. Service was excellent. The restaurant was spotless and beautifully decorated. Hands down our favorite dining experience in NOLA.
Our entire experience was fantastic!! The service, the food and drinks all surpassed expectations. A wonderful place for a date or to celebrate an event.
Great food. Service was terrific. Will definitely return
Briquette is one of my favorite restaurants. The staff, service and food truly stand out. I have visited several times and it is always a pleasure.
Great service from Patrick, delicious food. Very quiet ambience but also just a quiet night due to covid. Pricey but large entree portions, definitely had to take leftovers home! Creole coffee was amazing to end the night. Would definitely return.
Excelente Lugar muy recomendable
Great food some of the best food in New Orleans its good choice
Dinner to celebrate New Year’s Eve
Great food, top quality with just the right amount of creativity. Definitely will come back
We spent another New Year`s Eve dining at Briquette!! A. J. Tusa and his lovely wife are such great hosts. The are right there in the fabulous kitchen where you can see the food being prepared.
My friends and I had a wonderful experience having dinner at Briquette. I appreciate the steps taken by the entire staff to produce a most pleasurable dining experience. Elizabeth was our server and she just couldn't have been more accommodating. Thank you!
Celebrating my birthday on Christmas Eve.
Our waitress was great. The front door host not so much.
The food was good.
The wait staff was very kind and timely. Atmosphere was cozy and modern. The cocktails were delicious, and the appetizers were heavenly. The main entrees and desserts were okay, not quite as up to par as the apps. Overall, would still go back!
The food at Briquette is wonderful. We have dined here several times. Never disappointed.
We were really disappointed given the reviews we read. We are from New Orleans and the food didn't seem fresh and wasn't very flavorfull. 2 people got steaks, they wanted medium rare. one steak came med well, both steaks have no seasoning just alot of butter. Blackened redfish, really no flavor and not anything I would get again. My daughter said her fish had no flavor so the hollandaise helped. They did like the Crab bisque.
The waiter was really awkward and seemed distracted.
I wouldn't go back. We don't mind paying alot of money for food that is delicious, but to pay what paid for these meals, and it was nothing special.
