BRIO Tuscan Grille - Kansas City - Country Club Plaza
Sauted jumbo shrimp, wild arugula, roasted tomatoes, lemon sauce, extra virgin olive oil & white wine tossed in casarecce pasta
Fresh salmon, field greens, tomatoes, grilled asparagus, feta, crispy flatbread, balsamic glaze
Handmade ravioli, light lemon sauce
Our waiter messed up my order, but he was so kind and personable it was hard to be mad.
I love The Brio and the great service. The Salmon Fresca is amazing! And it is affordable compared to other Plaza Restaurants.
Our reservation stated we were celebrating a birthday but the waiter never bothered to ask if we were celebrating anything nor was he engaging during the course of our dinner at all. The food was good but seemed very overpriced for the quality, service and lack of ambience. Our waiter was sufficient but didn’t really attempt to try. Just the basics. We were seated in a high traffic area when there were more private or at least out of the way tables. 2 of our 5 person party was seated in such a way as to their chairs were actually IN the walkway aisle. Dinner was fast paced and didn’t really provide an opportunity to enjoy the meal. Very much felt rushed to get going except when we were actually ready to go - took forever to get our check and cash out. Overall disappointing.
Great people great food
I love bringing all of my clients here because it is the perfect combination of relaxed and also a little bit higher end.
The food and service is always great and their cocktails are amazing as well. I especially love their option to sit outside on the balcony when it is nice out as it overlooks the plaza and is very pretty.
I love this restaurant. The food is delicious, the ambiance is so posh & fancy, and the dining experience is great. 10/10 recommend!
Took my wife on a date night. The food was excellent and the service was good. The Ambiance was okay and the noise level was a little louder than you'd want to be able to have a conversation. However, it was Saturday night so the restaurant was packed and full of people. For our first time there it was a great experience and we will return.
Daughters birthday! Service slow for water, appetizers, drinks and food!! They were busy but forgot several times our requests during our time there.
Will try again some other time!!!
Waitress charged us with another table's bill. Caught it on my review of my charge card statement when I got home. Thought she was spending too much time to run our credit card so made me suspicious. Called the Brio and they corrected it right away and credited my charge card with the incorrect amount.
Our server was great and the food and wine was delicious. However, when I made my reservation I selected under the special request "Anniversary". And when time came to order dessert I had even asked my server (mentioning our anniversary) if they could doll up our dessert. I was hoping and honestly expecting a writing of "Happy Anniversary" of some sorts written in the chocolate sauce. I have seen other establishments do as such and if it was needed I would have happily paid a little extra for it. So to see the molten chocolate cake come out without that writing I disappointed for a moment. I am a very happy-go-lucky type of individual so it didn't bother me to much. It's not enough to keep us from returning. Thank you for the hospitality.
We had a wonderful evening. The food was superior and our server was outstanding. She had strong knowledge of the menu and made several great recommendations.
Service and atmosphere was great! Food was not as I expected. Overall really bland, no exciting flavors.
We made a reservation through Open Table for 7:45 PM. When we arrived we were told there would be a wait of a few minutes. We sat down at the bar, ordered wine and an appetizer. After 15 minutes, we checked with the hostess. Still waiting. At 30 minutes, we asked how long walk-ins were waiting. No walk-ins were being accepted. The hostess explained that they had a problem with Open Table overbooking them. Sounds like something they need to work out with Open Table instead of blaming them. Finally, after 45 minutes of waiting, we got seated. It took another 5 minutes for our server to appear, and another 10 to get bread, and only after we asked for it, having been promised he was coming right back with it. WE WILL NOT BE RETURNING TO BRIO TUSCAN GRILLE!!!
The service was slow and poor, overall. I would not go back to this restaurant or recommend it to anyone.
I'll keep it short. Seated promptly, on time. No service for 15 min after being seated, 15 minutes before orders were taken, 30 minutes before food arrived, one person's food not included and required more wait, food was cold, no further drink orders taken, no suggestion of dessert, long wait for check, longer wait for check to be returned. Menu has shrunk to 1/3 of what it used to be. Many favorites no longer offered. For over 10 years has been a favorite place to go with friends. It no longer is on my list.
Great food. Very busy Saturday night. Loud. Will attend again.
Arrived at 610 for a 630 reservation, seated at 650. Three of the four utensils on our table were dirty, not just water spots but caked-on food that somehow made it through the wash cycle. When we asked for replacements we didn't receive an apology, just an exasperated sigh from the waiter. My $26 entree was room temperature when it should have been piping hot. I would have informed wait staff or a manager of this but nobody came by to ask how we were enjoying the food. Service was incredibly slow, the kitchen clearly was running behind; they didn't even have bread for us for the first 30 minutes of sitting at the table. Brio has been a go-to for a while now but after this, I'll be skipping it in the future.
I was skeptical after our last visit because the waiter for that visit was very slow, and it took 1.5 hours to get thru that meal. This time we had a server named Natalie, and she was a delight! My wife and I both had the lasagna and it was VERY GOOD! We will definitely be back!
It was my birthday the waiter was terrible i had to ask him to refill my drinks & he didnt offer me a dessert menu
Great food. Good selection.
Amazing service with an amazing ambiance right by the fire place
Great food and great waiter
The table and setring were perfect for our Valentine's dinner. The staff were amazing and the attentiveness of our server was awesome!
Service was subpar. Food came out in a timely manner, but it was not hot. Very disappointed and won’t be visiting there again.
Took a party of 7 for Valentines Day. We couldn’t hear each other talk and there were items on the menu that our server (who was very good) told us are no longer carried. My pesto chicken was a little too salty for my taste.
What a great evening. We were seated upstairs where it was very quiet and intimate. Great food, great service and great price. As always.
Richie our waiter was excellent!
Great place for after church brunch. Great menus and great service. Easy parking, great staff, and mostly little to no wait. Go every chance we can. E
Weeknight dinner and the restaurant was very empty compared to other times when we’ve been there. Good food and service.
The food was delicious. The service was good, and it was a very nice restaurant.
Celebration. They accommodated our requests and places us close to the front for our elderly guest of honor. Table was set and prepared for large group when we arrived. Food was delightful, service was fantastic. They even comped (1) bar drink automatically when it was delayed in delivery. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.
Just a great casual and relaxed dining experience with good food and attentive service. Music by Jason was a plus.
We had a reservation for 6 people at 5:00 PM. We got there a couple minutes before 5 and they didn't have a table set up for us so we waited a short time to get seated (the restaurant was nearly empty at that time). Earlier that day I stopped by the restaurant and reminded the receptionist that we were celebrating a birthday. I asked if we should bring a cake or a special dessert, or if the restaurant would do something, and she said (paraphrased) "we've got it covered, we will bring out a dessert with a candle" etc. When the dinner was basically over, there was no mention of the birthday and the waiter just asked if we would like to see a dessert menu. I quietly reminded him we had a birthday, and a few minutes later he brought out a scoop of ice cream (lemon ice, or something like that) which tasted terrible. No candle, no happy birthday, etc. We asked for some bread after we were seated for a while, and the bread eventually came after we received our main entrees and after I asked a second time. Our waiter was very nice and was trying, but it didn't seem like he or the staff on duty that night were well trained. The food was average. We have eaten at Brio's in the past and had much better food and service.
First time with kids & they were so kind & inviting to them, while still creating a great experience for all.
Food was superb, service lacking...after 15 minutes of being done eating and empty drinks had to go get our server who had been socializing with the hostesses, then laughing and telling stories with the manager. Top down (manager) “we’ll get to you when we feel like it” mentality. Order to be delivered and should be good!
They were out of food from the restaurant week menu
This was our second time there this month the first time our service was so bad we had to wait an hour for drinks and appetizers and the manager came over and apologized and comped our food. So because of that I brought a party of 10 for a special occasion and experienced the same only the service was better but waited 40 minutes for drinks and the food was not very good. Sadly the wood fired flatbreads we’re the best. Hey ll check it off my list after this experience.
Food was good, steak had a good flavor, but was a bit tough. Thought a high end restaurant would be better. Noise level was a bit too noisy. Server was new, and did well, but food was very slow getting to us.
Service very very slow
