   Food was amazing. Have lived in the area for 35 years and would have to say this is at the top of my list. Beautifully presented, highest quality,delicious food. The owners were gracious and the service was very good. Have told all my family and friends to check it out. In fact want to go back for my birthday next week.

   The food is always delicious no matter what we order! The staff is always welcoming and makes for an enjoyable restaurant to sit and relax with good food and friends!! Drinks are fab too!

   Service was pretty drab, which was fine having worked in service understanding not every day is the best day, we were just excited to eat a good dinner, have some drinks and celebrate our anniversary. The wait time for food was pretty long but they were understaffed so we were patient. But by the time our food arrived, my partners pasta had the LONGEST black hair I have ever seen in food before. A tiny hair is one thing, but this was at least a foot long hair, twirled up in the pasta. We did not receive an apology from anyone until the end of the evening and when brought to the attention of the owner or manager, she reacted as if this happens often and I was inconveniencing them. We then had to wait even longer to get my partners food replaced so by the time she got her meal I had already finished mine. Less bad but still a complaint, on my steak plate, the chef tried to decorate the plate with balsamic vinegar, which made the plate look interesting but does not add any good or complementary flavor to the dish, in fact it actually prevented me from wanting to eat whatever mashed potatoes were left on my plate. I don’t ever expect meals to be perfect but it was truly one of the most disappointing dining experiences I have ever had. Unfortunately will not return to this establishment.

   Thank you for your feedback Elijah, I am sorry to hear about your experience and that our staff didn't meet the level of service we strive for. I do apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Please know that we are always enhancing our service. We will be addressing this review with the team so they can learn from it and do better in the future. A team member had emergency and was unable to come that day. I did stop by your table to apologize and to you and took the plate back to the kitchen. We apologize for the wait time on the new dish. Since that was our mistake I attempted to correct it by having the kitchen make a fresh one and by compensating you for the meal, but I understand if you were unsatisfied with our response. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

   I wouldn't go here for the Afghan food. The other dishes were good but price points was a bit high for the quality of the meals.

   First time visit, and sad the Afghan food is only available during the week. Nonetheless, the brunch food was quite tasty, and my classic Bloody Mary was nice and spicy, boozy with just the right amount of accoutrements. Our party of 3 felt stuffed when we were done with our meals. We ordered the Biscuits and Gravy, the Chicken Milanese sandwich and the Chicken and Waffle. The only need throughout our brunch was I needed more gravy bc the biscuits were dense and really absorbed the gravy. Yes, we do plan to go back to try the Afghan menu for dinner!

    We have made Brickland a weekly stop in our dining out in the Sacramento area. From the owners Rahim and Sheila to the comfortable open dining space this restaurant makes one feel comfortable from the minute you walk into Brickland. Chef Karel does an excellent job with fresh new ideas on the menu while keeping the favorites on his menu. His spaghetti is one of my favorite menu items. Your seating options are great the front comfortable dining room to the bar area where the large TV are excellent for watching sport events. Our favorite area is sitting on the well appointed outside patio where they allow you to bring your puppies, they even have a puppy menu. To round out your great experience at Brickland is Kerry who not only makes amazing beverages, she knows the menu to make recommendations on new items. Kerry provides excellent service that provides the comfort you need when dining out, she becomes your new best friend on your first visit at Brickland. Stop by soon!
