Traditional Bananas Foster
A tableside flambe of bananas with Caribbean rum and cinnamon served over vanilla bean ice cream
Gulf Fish Pontchartrain
Jumbo Lump Crab, J&J Shrimp, Crispy Louisiana Oysters, Parmesan Mushroom Rice, and Brennan's Creole Butter
Fish was over cooked.
The upholstery was all torn and worn on all the chairs. They re-used paper menus. Such a disappointment given their history and former high standards.
Excellent service and the food was great.!
Me and my husband came across Brennan’s for lunch the day prior and it was so amazing we had to come back for brunch the next day. They were able to squeeze us in at 1:45pm on a Saturday ! As you can see from the pictures brunch was amazing the food was superb and the service was even better. Brennans closed at 2 PM. And we didn’t leave until about 4 PM, the service was still amazing the food was even better and I’m happy we were able to enjoy a great lunch/brunch with my husband at an amazing place that reminded us of “Our” favorite place which is New Orleans, and Brennan’s New Orleans. We will be back !

Small crowd and very little attention from servers. We had the special crab cakes, they were awesome but thought they were over priced. It was a shock when the bill came.
Still enjoyed the meal, thank you.
Thank you Brennen's and staff for helping make may husband's 60th Birthday celebration a great one!
The food was amazing as always and the waiter that we had was so awesome!
Thank you again, we will hopefully see you soon.
Mr. & Mrs. Mark Hardin
Impeccable service as usual. Food and ambiance are great. This is my favorite restaurant to celebrate in Houston.
We were there for the Sunday brunch. Excellent food, service and jazz ensemble,
Brunch menu pretty limited, but food was good as always.
Great dinner for anniversary!
Waiter kept pushing highest priced items, both food and wine. Food was not as good as in the past
It was fabulous all the way!
Love getting dessert here, can’t beat a nightcap and the bananas foster!
Food was good. Limited menu options. Server was spread thin.
Perfect as expected
Excellent food, Excellent Service! Great night celebrating our anniversary and Brennan's made it a night worthy of the event. So good that my wife want's to eat there for Mother's Day!
It was perfect. I'm originally from New Orleans and miss home. This experience is exactly like that of the original Brennan's and I couldn't be happier to know a taste of New Orleans is 30 minutes away.
This is one of the best places in town. Great food, great staff and you can have a normal conversation at the table without shouting.
Great food, great service and fantastic value. Tableside preparation (shrimp and grits) was beautiful. Stuffed quail was delicious. One service hiccup was promptly addressed. Can't ask for much more.
Great food and service, as always. We were able to get a reservation same day. The bananas foster is a must when we dine here.
The one issue was the front left dining room we were seated in was VERY loud and not the usual ambiance we are accustomed to when dining at Brennan’s.
Went for 41st anniversary- don’t have many options for Cajun/Creole style in Houston so we really enjoyed the taste and richness of the food here! Great alternative to traditional steak houses!
The perfect day to have brunch on the patio Sunday afternoon. Jazz quartet was great as always. Food was delish!! Gumbo, tomato soup with shrimp & crawslfish, eggs Benedict & eggs Sardou was really awesome. Chocolate Pecan Pie excellent!! Ebelinda & Ashley were delightful servers always keeping our glasses full & they made the service seamless. Just a great experience as always!!
Good service and good food! Occasion was wife’s birthday. Save room for dessert- it’s really good too!
These ratings can’t be real. The food at this place is not good. This is my second time trying this place and it’s really just bad. My husband is Cajun and I realize we judge a little differently based on that but even if you take out the idea of them trying to taste Cajun, every single item we’ve ever tried is really bad.
When I pay high dollar for a meal, I expect it to be good. We eat at a lot of nice places around town and this is by far the worst I can think of when it comes to the food.
Our waiter was new and it was really obvious but I try not to hold that against. However, she was also not friendly. So it was just really altogether bad experience.
The ambience was nice, I will say! They had musicians going around singing and they did for us for our anniversary. That was nice, I appreciated that. But that doesn’t make up for the food!
Will not be returning
Love the bananas foster
Went for Sunday’s Jazz Brunch to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Had an excellent time both were outstanding. I was pleasantly surprised when the price for my party of 6 wasn’t near as expensive as I expected.
Eat here all the time. This was an unfortunate evening. There was a large, loud party seated in the middle of the dining room and they were extremely disruptive. Mgmt should have moved them to another room. Couldn't even hear my date they were so loud and we were sitting at the edge of the room. The parties sitting closer had it much worse. Not sure why a restaurant would risk irritating their regulars to accommodate a one night stand.
We will probably give the restaurant a several month break and hope they train their managers on dealing with a loud, annoying, rowdy table.
Had an awesome time celebrating my wife’s birthday. The food and staff were exceptional.
Lamb chops were too fatty, but still tasted great. Gulf Fish Ponchartrain was great.
Lovely Sunday brunch and we enjoyed the jazz trio. Beautiful way to spend the day!
We celebrated our wedding anniversary here and had a great time as always. This is one of the best venues in Houston for almost any special event. It is difficult to find better food and better service in Houston. Can't wait to return.
As always, Brennan’s was amazing. Great food! Great service! Great atmosphere! From the turtle soup to the Chippewa Shrimp to the Bananas Foster, it was all fantastic!
Aaron I believe it was, was consistently on point with his service. The food was exceptional. Especially considering the weather situatuon that week, we were pleased with our experience.
The food and service was impeccable. Perfect spot for our sisters’ Saturday brunch.
Birthday. Everything was terrific! Food and service
Love Brennans! Went during a cold snap in Houston so very few folks there. Despite being many people there they tried to seat us in a high traffic area next to entrance in main dining room. Don’t understand that when there were so many better tables available. Made them move us and they were fine with it but seemed strange to start with.
Regardless, this is a great place to eat! Definitely be back.
